The seas of the North Atlantic churned violently, waves, even so far out to sea, reaching colossal heights, crashing violently against the shores of the eastern shore of what once was the United States, flooding the beaches and the ruins of various cities that once thrived on the coast. Damaged buildings came crashed down into the violent waters below, the forgotten ruins being wiped away by the unnatural storm. Back out in the middle of the ocean, at the center of the apocalyptic storm, a bright light, as bright as the sun at its peak, exploded to life, causing the waters around it to shoot out in all directions, creating a crater in the sea that measured hundreds of feet deep, creating waves of destruction heading in all directions of the crater. As the light dimmed, the "crater" was filled back with the churning waters, which spilled over almost immediately. Chaotic energy lept from where the light had been, striking the waters, causing them to covered for a split second with black, lightening-like bolts, only to disappear in a torrent of steam.
Through the smoke, a large figure moved, its gargantuan crest piercing the smoke, showing a tattooed, almost featureless face, with only its pupil-less, glowing blueish white eye present, which seemed to stare in all directions at once. More of the creature emerged from the smoke, revealing a body that lacked normal arms, instead sprouting four long "arms" from its back, which arched high over its head, two being longer then the others, while the smaller ones seemed to grasp the air hungrily, a spike located at the center of the mouth-like ends of the appendages. More of the tattooed body was revealed as well, its markings seemed to wriggle and streak across its body, glowing as bright as its eyes. The creature glided across the hellish waters without any sign of wings or jets allowing for its flight, its eyes flairing as it observed its surroundings.
"The time has come to shatter this clockwork universe...forever." a voice emitted, the words seemingly said by an innumerable amount of voices, each with different tones, but talking at once, repeating words in an otherwordly echo. The creature spoke to itself, in a tongue both monster and human alike could understand, though it had no visible mouth, and spoke in a sophisticated tone, of that of an older human scholar, and as if it was narrating a vocal log. In another, half-second long flash of light, the creature disappeared...
Meanwhile, the GDF scrambled desperately to understand the situation. Something was wrong, very wrong. Energy readouts indicated that various nuclear devices had just detonated at once in an area in the North Atlantic...yet satellite images showed nothing more then the storm, the energy readouts only lasting a split second in duration...
