"My guess is that Jenkins turned on his 'colleagues' and struck a deal with someone. have his colleagues massacred via false information marking them as hostiles, to make him the last fully knowledgeable scientist in the place. he then sparks a breakout and locks himself somewhere safe with alot of food and drink, and lets the Dinosaurs finish off the military team that came here. he becomes indispensable, and as a result can bargain for any price he likes for the info of what went on here. Hiring a skilled Mercenary team to wipe out the security forces here wouldn't've been too difficult. expensive, yes, but not difficult. He could easily have worked it into a 'you scratch my back, I scratch yours' deal. have them hit first and get payment later in the form of info. A lot of people want to know what the US military is hiding up their sleeves. they'd jump on the opportunity for information like that. Of course, with the team wiped out, their superiors would haul *** out of here as fast as possible so as not to get nailed with espionage. At the same time, the US military doesn't move in because the nature of what's going on here is obviously extremely controversial and would cause a shitstorm if the media found out. That leaves our dear Doctor alone here living off the base's supplies. He probably knew that after a while the Army would move back in to see what was left. At that point, he feigns insanity, and is taken by the soldiers sent to recover him towards the shore. they escort him there, where his partners wait in ambush. soldiers get wiped out, he gets taken somewhere out of the US Government's reach, and drifts into obscurity. a few months later, another base just like this one pops up somewhere else on the planet, belonging to the people he sold his info to, and he's living in some nice cottage in Sweden, the Alps perhaps. somewhere far away, where he can enjoy his cash and be safe from retaliation" said Jacob as he walked calmly down the corridor, checking the Maintenence map, soon reaching a large ventilation panel on the wall...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
