Nightbane raised a brow at the Leopard's sarcasm. "mock it all you like. eventually, that kind of attitude will get you killed by one" he grunted. as he heard the Leopard's statement, he growled "If not like this, then what?"...

"Well not like anything, actually," Sarra said. "My mother told me that the sun rests in the lion's mane, your's just looks like that stiff, dry grass in the plains," she purred and she tried to remember the other stories her mother told her of the lions...

"Look at a mane with the sun hitting it, then you'll know what she meant" growled Nightbane as he lifted his head and stood in a stance fitting for a Lion, head held proudly, high on his shoulders. the shadows of the clearing they were in didn't allow the sun to touch them. only the glow of daylight lit them up...

"She also said they were proud, mighty creatures, and the way they carried themselves proved it," Sarra said swinging her tail again.

"Well that you can see for yourself" growled Nightbane as he paced the clearing calmly...

Sarra had to smile, he was showing off and he knew it. "Well, there was also something about the lion's roar and how it could strike fear even into the most bloodthirsty tiger's heart," she said and rolled over on to her back.

"Your mother's opinion on a Lion's roar is somewhat exaggerated. though some Lions are that powerful, not all have it. depends on which kind of Lion she's seen. some pale in comparison to others. I'm about as big as they get, though even i have my limitations" he growled simply, continuing to pace the clearing...

"Oh, she never saw one either, those stories have just been past down," Sarra purred. "But she was very fond of them and I am too," she growled softly. "Is it true that lions are kings of the forest?"

"The forest? we don't even LIVE in the forest. i'm here because i don't have a pride of lions to care for, and no family i can find. basically, i'm here because there's just a better supply of food here than in the grasslands around this forest. not to mention less...threats. In my native turf, there are usually several lions around my size, and, if not that, more experienced. very dangerous, even at my size. here in the forest, the threats are smaller. the only major threat is Tigers, and even with them, i have a few advantages they don't...as for your question...you could call Lions the Kings of the Savvanah..in a one on one fight, a Lion is almost always the victor" he growled...

Silver Hood made a hiss, his wandering putting him right behind the lion. The King Cobra curled up and stared at the cats, planning his escape if these creatures were like the two others that gambled, life as the dice

"Then, I won't fight you to find out if that's true," Sarra said jumping down from the tree and landed a safe distance away from the lion, just in case. "I'm sorry for threatening you, I'm just hungry and I get cranky when I'm hungry," she purred. "I'm Sarra by the way."

Nightbane nodded. "Nightbane" he growled in response. at the sound of a hiss he turned around and stared at the snake, which had snuck up behind him. he snarled loudly at the serpent, warning it to back away...

Sarra tilted her head to get a look at the strange snake. "What is that?" she asked, but didn't get any closer.

"Snake...Poisonous. if it bites you, consider yourself dead" growled Nightbane before taking a step forward and snarling louder at the snake. he wasn't about to leave just because a snake turned up. especially this kind. King Cobras were rare things to see, but it wasn't the first time he came across an arrogant one...

Silver Hood rose up and puffed out his hood, the spots were like eyes, staring into the lion's. The serpent made another, shocking ly loud hiss, followed by a chilling growl.

Nightbane began to circle the snake, a low, rumbling growl coming from him. he'd seen the Cobras' tricks too many times to even be surprised, let alone intimidated, by the snake's actions...

Silver Hood turned his head to follow the lion, constantly rearranging his silver and black scaled body. If the lion tried anything, a bite from his would paralyze him, and kill him soon after, but Silver Hood would be long gone by then...

Nightbane continued to walk around the Snake, eying the surroundings carefully. finding a rock on the ground nearby of fairly large size, he batted it at the snake, being careful to avoid any attempt at a bite from the snake...

Silver Hood hissed, making a mock lunge at the lion. He growled. Obviouslu intimidation wasnt going to work and the lion was too smart to get close. The snake simply coiled up, head facing the lion.
