"I thought cheetahs were loners," Sarra said as she took a quick drink. "Why do you sound so eager for a companion?"

"Cheetah's are loners. But only half of our hunts are successful. I suspect nearly all of yours are. That's why." As he took another step forward, a croc burst from the water and clamped it's jaws round Kita's leg. He started thrashing about as the croc tried to pull him to the water.

Sarra roared and leaped at the croc, swiping her claws across his face. "Let go, you overgrown salamander!" she roared again.

Suddenly the croc let go of Kita and snapped for Sarra, it was nearly twice her size. Kita bit down on the crocs neck as it snapped it's jaws, but the scales were too thick too penetrate. He took a few steps back, and ran towards the croc. Upon nearing it's hulking form he leapt to the other side of the river. "Come on! Jump! Stun it then jump! It doesn't matter if you'll get wet! Not unless your fur is more important than your life!" Kita called to encourage Sarra.

Sarra nodded, thwacked the croc on the head then leapt over the river. Her hind legs were the only thing that got wet, but she managed to get to the other side.

"Now run. Before it comes round." With that, he bolted through the savanna grass, slowing down to let Sarra catch up with him. "That was a close one." He murmured to himself.

Sarra sighed as Kita slowed down. "Whew, your fast," she said as she caught up.

"I have to be. To survive." he growled."Recently I was stalking a zebra herd and I took down this male, and I think he was related to another zebra I was stalking.

"Wow," Sarra said. "I've never had that problem with my prey," she purred and chuckled.

A massive pair of jaws slammd shut on the croc several dozen feet from the two cats, Gustav having witnessed the entire ordeal. he jerked his head violently and went into a deathroll, ripping the much smallr croc to shreds. as he began to eed, in plain view of the two big cats, he let off an irritated rumble. he was annoyed the kill's two victims had escaped it's jaws. had it killed one it would've meant more food for him...

Nightbane arrived at the cave, sniffing out Lusa and Night's scents, looking up a small hill of rocky ground, covered in vines and trees...

The deer was grazing quietly on a fern, the area nearby quiet and not seeming to have anything out of the ordinary there. However, a black shape was creeping silently towards the grazing herbivore, approaching from it's left side. The black leopard was getting closer, stopping for a few seconds to make sure that he hadn't been heard or his scent picked up. 3 minutes later, Darkfur was almost close enough so that his chances of getting close enough to bite the deer on the neck before it could flee would be good.

Kita stared, wide eyed at the larger croc ripping the smaller one to shreds. "Wow." He gasped, before walking off to find a place to rest. Leaving Sarra behind with the huge croc. Better hurry up Sarra." He growled to himself, in partial awe at what the larger croc had done to something that tried to kill him.

Sarra trotted away from the larger croc and caught up with Kita. "Well, you don't get to see that every day," she said.

Night lifted one paw and scratched her muzzle absently. "So..." she growled. "Sing, Lusa. Sing for hope, for courage. Sing to the full moon, and sing for those who cannot." Lusa nodded excitedly, threw back her head and let out a wild, high-pitched, untamed cry that split the air with the sound of a young wolf pup's howl.

Blood Scar continued on swimming..patrolling his massive water territory..he had rested earlier so he had more then enough energy..the giant scared "armor" of the croc clearly revealed itself in the sun light as Blood Scar cruised around..

Tyretros was now in the jungle regions, making sure to keep his eyes peeled for any tigers or other jungle predators. Even though he could hold his own, tigers were notoriously skilled in keeping hidden, resorting to ambush attacks that usually lasted a few seconds. If something like that happened to him, he would have little time to react...The maneless male continued on, leaping over a rotting log, moving toward where he hoped the jungle would end and the savannah would begin again...

Darkfur watched the deer silently for another minute, now close enough to leap out and have a chance of being able to leap onto it and bite it's throat before it could flee. Once the minute passed, he silently lept out of the bushes that had kept him hidden and ran towards the deer. The herbivore raised it's head in alarm upon seeing the leopard, but it's feer kept it frozen for a few seconds. The leopard then lept forward and landed on the right side of the deer, knocking it down. Without hesitating, he bit it's throat and kept his grip firm as the prey began to struggle.

With Lusa in her jaws, held by the scruff of the neck, Night came bounding down the slope, ducking under low-hanging vines and weaving inbetween trees as if she'd been doing it all her life--which in reality she had. She launched herself off of a small boulder and landed in a slight skid in front of her den, feeling her pads throb. She'd take a look at them later. Right now, she set Lusa down and growled, "You can open your eyes now." Giving the pup a rough lick, she added, "You're not dead." The little black ball of fuzz looked up and squeaked, "Well, you could've warned me you were going to do that!" "Oh, please," the adult wolf snapped back, baring her teeth slightly. "When you make a kill, the scavengers that show up aren't going to say 'watch out, I'm going to try and take your meal!' So get used to it."

Tyretros continued on, slowly getting sick of the jungle, having to act especially careful in these unknown conditions. Hearing a rustling to his side, Tyretros stopped dead in his tracks, getting low to the ground. Waiting a few moments, the maneless lion stepped forward, poking his head through the foliage, seeing a tiger biting the throat of its prey; a deer. Tyretros stopped dead, still hiding within the foliage, hoping the predator didn't see him...

Once more..his hunger began to consume him. The gigantic repitlian form continued to move swiftly through the water, his armored back filled with scars from all sorts of wounds..from other crocs, to even humans themselves. Up stream there was a large gathering of herbivores, each had their own business near the river but everything was boding well for them..for now. The gigantic croc began to fully desend into the water, clearly being able to see where he was going thanks to his adapations. His jaws slightly open..prepearing to bite, hold and then rip. He goes to the very bottom of the river, letting his tail propel him forward yet no signs of him from the surface..all the croc needed to do was to decide what he wanted to eat.
