Resident Evil - Trivia

Postby Peter the Reaper » Thu Feb 01, 2007 5:58 pm

Ok, this is a simple game: I make a question, whoever gets the answer right first makes their own question, then, who answers that one right first posts the next question. Ok, ready, let's start easily:

In which Resident Evil we see William Birkin with Albert Wesker?

lol1 This makes me laugh, becuase lwthough i love Resi, i don't think i know this. It's probably because i haven't completed some of them... but out of process of elimination, i'm guessing Code Veronica X?

Resident Evil 2, though he was killed by Nemesis in 3.

correct. Brad Vickers was killed by Nemesis in RE3, but since the first half of RE3 occurs 24 hours prior to RE2, you end up facing Brad as a zombie. anyway, it's your turn. ask us a question.

All right, I guess it's my turn... How was the G-Virus discovered?

by injecting the Nemesis parasite into Lisa Trevor, after which, it seemingtly fused itself with the virus(es) inside her, to result in the G-Virus; a virus that would continuously mutate it's host, regardless of whether or not it was being wounded.

Actually, there isn't any direct proof that the G-Virus was already within Lisa Trevor.
All we know is that her body developed the ability to absorb all other experiments performed on her. In fact, Wesker states in his report about his time as an Umbrella worker "Something new that would bring a new idea to us. The project which changed our destiny, the G-Virus project".

Never was it stated that Lisa held the G-Virus itself (which would be impossible, as it'd make Birkin's lifetime research futile - when we meet him in RE2 he had just finished the G-Virus, so, how could he finish something that already existed? And contradicting the G-Virus project, as it'd no longer be a project) or any (direct) predecessor to it.

If you read carefully, you'll notice that the G-Virus is never directly appointed to Lisa Trevor. Rather, according to Wesker, it seems more of "inspired" in Lisa Trevor's own mutation to the Mother Virus and the T-derivates the Arklay Team developed and administered to her.

by "to Result in the G-Virus", i meant it was to start the chain of events, and contribute to the creation of the G-Virus. sorry i was unclear about that. anyway, i'm out of ideas for now, so someone please take my place.
