A hooded figure entered a small shop, which had one other customer already browsing its products, which included various insects, meat, and fish, all marked as food. The figure walked over to the counter, standing behind the other customer, who was-surprisingly-purchasing some of the merchandise. "I hope you enjoy your food, good sir..." a voice croaked behind the counter, the customer heading out of the shop, revealing a scaled figure fiddling with the money it had received, only its scaled back visible. The hooded figure cleared his throat, a resulting thud coming from below the counter, the creature standing up straight, rubbing his head. The creature's head was also scaled, its eyes bulging like a chameleon's, two large fins on either side of its head, having a slightly elongated mouth, which was filled with jagged teeth. "Damn it! ...Ahh, another customer! Two in one week, such luck!" the scaled creature croaked, staring at the hooded stranger, who's face was slightly visible from underneath the cloth hood, eyebrow raised in curiosity.
"Oh wait...You do not wish to browse my fine goods, yes? You are the one I spoke to before...You took your time getting here." the creature croaked, its smile growing. The figure lowered the hood, the horns around the crown of his head now fully visible. "Now I see why wear that outfit...Your kind is not well received among the populous. Please, tell me I am not dealing with a fugitive." the creature growled, narrowing its eyes slightly. "No...and I hope you learn from this not to make stereotypes effect your business. You're lucky I am the way I am, lizard..." Mal'Ganis said calmly, folding his arms. "Yes yes I am a bad person now. Lets get back to business...You wish to see the thing you seek?" the creature croaked, grinning once more. Mal'Ganis nodded, following the creature into the back of the shop, looking around the back room, which was filled with crates, except for a corner in the back, which held a desk and various amounts of paper. The creature gestured to a half open crate, throwing the top aside as he dug inside. A few moments later, he pulled out a pair of boots, grinning once more as he handed them to Mal'Ganis.
"Just as you asked. Durable, able to withstand bullets and weak lasers, though I wonder what kind of creature would aim at a person's feet." The creature growled, laughing. Mal'Ganis smiled half-heartedly, more interested in studying the boots. "The strength of the jets is as you asked; they will carry you around. There is no need for fuel...but these are not a substitute for an aircraft. They will overheat and melt before your eyes if you try to travel across a planet using them." the creature croaked, flicking the boots with a claw. Mal'Ganis nodded, placing the boots under his arm as he headed back out of the room, into the shop. "Thanks Az'Mati, these are exactly what I need. ...I won't ask how you obtained them, but thanks again." Mal'Ganis said, shaking the scaled creature's hand. "A method legal in some star systems, I assure you!" Az'Mati croaked, laughing loudly at his own joke, Mal'Ganis frowning at the comment, but didn't continue the discussion further, heading out of the shop...
