Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

The TIE Defenders continued to use their speed and their capabilties to fire at multiple targets at once. Their multiple laser cannons allowed them to fire in rapid succesion or fire at seperate targets. Should the enemies have been larger, Ion Cannons and missles would have been used but they had an advantage in a sense..they were of course on allied territory and recieving help from the Tartans. While the Tartans continued to blast OWLS and other drones, they could only do so much as they attempted to secure the hole that was created. More firepower was required as gunships from the Star Destroyer and Star Dreadnought were being unleashed with TIE interceptor escorts. Their focus would help the tartans with the drones but with sentials entering the Annihilator..this was something they could not ignore.

The Dark Lord of the Sith was well aware of the situation. "Activate ray shields..close the sentials in and prepare Dark Troopers along with the laser defense systems. I want damage to this ship as minium as possible" Revan demanded. The several officers nodded..they could not ignore the order from the Dark Lord.

Every door in the empty barracks instant slammed shut..closed. Ray shields were then activated for added security. The ray shields were powerful enough to deflect laser weapon back but it was there..mostly to protect the doors themselves from the laser weaponry. In areas nearby..Dark Troopers began to activate and head for key areas that could possibly been in danger. Revan had to make sure the ship made it back to the Death Star for repairs..if needed..it seemed he may have to go into battle himself.

The Sentinals paused at the doors, then turned to the walls and quickly tore through, using their lasers to draw a deep cut and then peel the metal back. they quickly split up, maneuvering throughout the sector and scouting it out. More and more Sentinals arrived, pouring in through the breech and dispersing. They quickly identified the sector's perimeters, finding heavy duty doors locked down all around the area.... Rather than a hinderence, this is just what they wanted. The Sentinals immeidiately started welding ever door shut, sealing off the sector even to the Imperials, wanting both to keep any soldiers within, in and those out, out.

Outside, the battle was coming to a stalemate, the crater managing to repel attacks but not gain any ground back...

Within the Annihilator..Squads of up too four Dark Troopers were beginning to set up blockaids in corridors that led out of the empty barracks. Regular troopers were being armed with EMP weapons and rockers were arriving to secure the blockaid ensuring a mass swarm of heavy power to blast into enemy sentials as they attempted to break through the doors. Laser Turrets in the cielings were ready to drop then and attack but so far the Imperials were attempting to find out what the enemy was doing. The Dark Lord of the Sith patiently waited as the gigantic flagship continued to speed towards the Death Star..they would reach it very soon. The gigantic hanger that would house the Annihilator was prepared..groups of soldiers heavily armed took up defensive poistions along with giant hanger turrets hung from the cielings..ready.

Swarms of missles and green beams shot out as the newly arrived gunships made their presence, attempting to turn the tide..

"No blood or bodies..." Thch shook his head. "This isn't good, whatever it is."

Elch snorted and walked on, heading towards the bridge as well. "D*mn hunters..."

From the darkness of one of the hallways on board the Irrefutable Succor, something watched the Special Operations team. Hissing quietly, it turned and disappeared up a ventilation shaft.

The door swung open, the Kig-yar's body colapsing backward, and crashing to the ground. The Elites creeped by the sides of the door, pointing their rifles in, awaiting anything that would slightly resemble a "monster". Seiga quietly headed in, eyeing his radar with caution... but nothing. "Quick, retrieve the ship's Mission Log," he ordered, still watching his radar. A few humms were heard, and the SpecOps Sangheili grunted, "I've got them." Seiga looked up at the Elite and sighed deeply, "Play them..."

Seiga stood, stunned, never had he heard of such a monstrosity, nor had he wanted to. He lifted his head towards his team, "Listen to me... we are now automatically participating in a highly dangerous operation. We shall stay close, and will not seperate for any reason in any respects. Our main priority, return to the our ship, and terminate this one ASAP!" The elites grunted their agreement.

They started for the exit, but were interupted by a beep. Seiga looked at his radar, a red dot blinking, heading straight for them. "I've recieved contact!" he barked, the Elites dragging their weapons to their chests, double-checking their ammo and adjusting their scopes. More dots appeared on the radar, 2... 4... 8... 20, they were multiplying dramatically. "Straight ahead! The hallway!" The SpecOps shifted their views towards the Bridge's open door... but nothing in plain sight, just a long hallway. The Special Operations team swept out of the bridge, activating their camoflage, making them invisible from whatever ******** awaited their presence.

Erdu had heard something rustling by the right corner of the hall, and slowely crept towards the plasma vent. He had his carbine to his chest, armed and ready for fire, his radar flashed rampantly, and he knew that something remained hidden their. Peering his head above the vent, he saw a long drop, towards black nothingness... it looked eerie, and quite intimidating. Erdu sighed, and lifted his head, there seemed to be nothing there, and then the flashing ceased... it simply stopped, as if whatever was there just disappeared from existance. Seiga stared at his radar in awe... this was impossible, how would a horde of "monsters" simply dissappear? Erdu put his carbine down, and brought himself to speak, "This doesn't make any sense... what just happen-" he stopped. "What is it?" asked Seiga.
"Do you hear it?"
"Hear what?"
"Do you not here the hissing?"
Seiga stopped, and cocked his head up a little, paying close attention. "I don't hear anything..." he said. Erdu's voice became adgitated, "I kid you not, I hear hissing!" One of the others laughed, "Whynot check the vent agian? Maybe you'll meet a new ally." Erdu sighed in disappointment, "Fine, I'll check..." he turned his head, and leaned over, peering his head into the dark vent. Seiga rolled his eyes, and looked at his radar, the other doing the same, in the background Erdu could be heard complaining, "I am serious, I heard hissing!"
"Listen, Erdu, your mind must be playing fool with you..." said one of the Elites whom was now lifting his head up to look at Edru. "By the gods!" he screamed, "Erdu behind you!" Erdu stood straight up, but only to feel unbearable pain, a long, spear-like tail, impaling the SpecOps from back to chest. Seiga lifted his head, and seeing this, he screamed, "Open fire!"
"Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things." - The Joker

A alien's tail whipped out, lifting Erdu's dead body into the air and holding it in front of itself, using it as a shield to block the gunfire. The creature was only around the height of a Kig-Yar, and very lanky, but it possessed surprising strength. It had a black, chitinous exoskeleton, an elongated head with no visible eyes and a crest of feathery tendrils along the top of it, and sharp, blade-like claws on its hands and feet. Its tail was long and skeletal, with a large spike-like blade on the tip. Hissing, the creature backed up, Erdu's body falling to the ground as the alien disappeared down the vent...

Onboard his cruiser, Thch paced back and forth impatiently, wondering what was taking the Sangheili so long. He finally activated Seiga's COM. "Seiga, status."

The drone suddenly swerved toward a chunk of debris from the planet, the hatch on its chest opening as a small appendage appeared, cutting a small part of the debris with a laser, the appendage retracting back inside the drone before being replaced by yet another appendage, this one being a mechanical claw, which grabbed the small piece of debris before bringing it back inside the drone. As the sample was analyzed, information was listed across the drone's visor, storing data about the sample and the lasting damage done to it...

Meanwhile, the second drone finally cut through the mysterious ship's hull, pushing the slab of metal forward, its treads becoming magnetic instantly, anchoring itself as various objects were sucked from the room. The drone moved forward slowly, using the slab of metal as a shield against the objects being sucked toward the hole in the hull, swerving around as it welded the piece back onto the ship, the chaos stopping, but the current room had already been stripped of oxygen, which was no problem for the drone as it searched the room...

Y'gar stood and watched the hunters walk away, a little suprised that they weren't too proud to not fight them. Although his two missing teeth and bruises that would soon swell up, begged to differ.

He saw Elch walking towards the bridge. He started jogging after him and called out, "Hey, wait up!"

Serephir came to a hault on the surface of the moon, going into a crouch and walking between two large rocks as he moved towards the peak of a small hill, the rocks standing high enough to provide cover for him there. "Well well well" he said in mild surprise as he looked across at the scene. Jack came close behind him, ducking down and keeping against the rock. he stiffled a gasp of shock at the scene beyond the hill...

"Then we'll have to take him for medical attention immediately. is your escape craft geared with Artificial Intelligence?" said the Investigator as the Assassin Drones hovered on, one in front of the group and one behind, providing protection from both sides, making use of movable armoured plates on their heads to provide cover for the crew as they slowly went through the ship...

Crowley shook his head. "This Frigate wasn't considered necessary for an A.I. We could pilot it just fine. At least until those things attacked us." Two Marines carried the whimpering one in between them, who was still muttering to himself.

Elch looked over his shoulder and stopped, waiting for Y'gar to catch up.

Chardossk ducked, whispering to Serephir, "What is it?"

"Does it operate on electronics? does it have a Coordinate-based Autopilot? anything?" asked the Investigator. it needed to find some way of positioning it in a safe spot. they couldn't have this thing land in a typical public port with the nature of the situation they were in. they'd need to navigate to a safe, isolated spot within military grounds, in order to ensure safety. on Vardia, a ground based Planetary Defense Array was armed to take out the ship. the ballistic/laser projectile cannons of the array were enough to obliterate the ship as soon as the order was given to fire...

"Take a look" said Serephir as he pointed towards something past the hill. as the ground on the other side of the large hill was revealed, a massive, dome-like construction was revealed, with a massive, arching entrance, two tall statues of feline centaurs, with lion lower halves, standing on either side of the entrance, holding a long sword in each hand, the swords of both sides crossing in the form of an arch over the thin, tall entrance, a massive yellow globe resembling a sun levitating above the crossed swords. men in grey uniforms guarded the entrance with pulse staffs, the number of them measuring in the tens. "Looks like there's more to the Cult of Sardan than a bunch of fanatics" said Serephir...

One by one, the rooms of the sector all went black, oxygen levels immeidiately decreasing as the Sentinals started jamming the power grid, severing connection lines wherever they were seen. In many parts, the machines simply sliced a gash across the roof to sever any line running past...

Despite having arrested control over the sector, they moved with caution, using detours wherever possible and avoiding corridors. Near the center of the sector in a large messhall, several Sentinals were busy cutting and shredding away layers of the floor, trying to breech into the deck below....

With their large blocky frames, the gunships made easy targets, lines of disintergrator fire strikeing into their engines and disableing them with ease...

"We never needed one," said Crowley. "We had our own pilots. But now, all we're going to do is blow it to pieces while it's in orbit. The pelican in the hangar can get us groundside."

"Your 'Pelican' will have to land in a certain area on the surface of the planet. with the current situation, Vardia can't afford to take chances" said the Investigator. suddenly, a command got through to it from Border Control. "New orders. you are to be towed to the nearest of Vardia's moons and taken to an isolated small vessel's dock. the transport craft will arrive shortly to tow the Pelican towards the moon's surface. it has an atmosphere of it's own, so you don't require space gear so long as your craft is closed off from the exposure of space" said the Investigator. the Assassins' detection systems detected the particle tracks of fuel that hinted towards the hanger, the particles undoubtedly coming from one of the fueling stations on board, or even the fuel tanks of the space craft itself...

"For something as elaborate as this, my guess is they've got some big funding backing them up. question is, who" said Serephir. "We need to go in there and get my parents! they'll kill them if we don't hurry!" said Jack. Serephir nodded, though deep inside he knew that death wouldn't come to victims for a considerable amount of time...

The drone inside the ship began analyzing everything it could find, the room it was in stained with blood, which was the most interesting thing the drone could find. Showing no fear of the situation, the drone headed out of the current room, beginning to investigate the rest of the ship, hoping to find some kind of terminal to acquire the blueprints of the mysterious craft...

Crowley nodded. "No problem. The Pelican's sealed from vacuum, so it shouldn't be very hard to get it to the moon. Rogers, move up!" he waved a hand towards the turn in the hallway up ahead, and a Marine crouched and moved forward, weapon raised and ready. He peered around the corner, seeing nothing, then looked back over his shoulder at Crowley and gave him a thumbs up. "All cle--" He was cut off by what had previously looked like a detached cable hanging from the pipe-covered ceiling, that had suddenly wrapped itself around Rogers' throat. Gasping for air, the fleshy-looking tendril pulled the human up into the maze of pipes. The sound of bones cracking, followed by a sibilant hiss, was all that was heard before Crowley barked, "Open fire!" A rain of AR bullets pinged off the pipes, and an unseen creature scuttled away, screeching, dripping tiny droplets of purple blood behind it. Steam poured from a punctured pipe after the shooting stopped. Crowley scowled. "D*mn thing's heading in the same direction as us. Marines, keep your weapons aimed up. We don't want another ambush like that." The squad moved forward again, ignoring the steam jet.

"What are they up to.." Revan asked, watching the sentinels through camara's in the Annihilator. "My Lord..it's best we deal with them before we find out.." The Dark Lord of the Sith nodded.
"Send the Dark Troopers in..having defense turrets dropped down..not all of them..select targets and fire accordingly" Revan commanded. The Dark Lord of the Sith then narrowed his eyes..the sheer size of the gigantic Death Star was in view and they were rapidly approaching the battle-station. The planet was destroyed and their misson done but the Annihilator had to be reclaimed.
The Dark Troopers proceeded with the go order as several doors began to open as the giant robotic troopers proceeded to walk on in. Several defense turrers dropped them, searching for enemies to blast. The Imperial Base Defenses were protected through several hundred passwords that constantly change ever so often. They could not afford accidents and hacking as Imperial Systems were going into lockdown, the systems themselves can only be operated in the bridge.
Out of nowhere in the dark, empty halls..several defense turrets dropped from the cieling and began to rapidly fire..the lasers easily capable of punching through their armor.
The TIE's continued their dogfights and the Tartans continued their role on securing the crater. The several Victories and Imperial Star Destroyers above continued to monitor, all of the ships bouncing data around in order to coordinate attacks in unity and in better conditions.

the Assassin Drones convrted to infrared vision, locking onto the heat signatures of the surroundings. within a vent not far away, they sensed the presence of one of the creatures, one of the Drones opening fire, pelting the spot with gatling gun fire, the bullets tearing into the creature easily. the Investigator sensed a large room coming up, which could only be the hanger...

The door a the end of the corridor opened as the Marines neared, revealing a massive hangar, filled with the charred remains of Longsword fighters and Pelican dropships. Crowley explained, "They took out most of the craft on the ship, but they overlooked that Pelican." He pointed towards a large sheet that was so well-camouflaged to the ship's interior it hardly stood out at first. The marines warily made their way over to it, then unhooked the sheet edges from special indentations in the ground and pulled it off the snub-nosed Pelican hidden underneath. The ramp to the back compartment was open, so Crowley ordered the Marines in, where they made their seats along the sides of the compartment. Crowley went through the double doors at the front of the compartment, straight into the cockpit. He called behind him, "All aboard, before more of those things show up!"

the Investigator floated inside, while the two Assassin Drones began to circle the craft. "They will ensure that no attack is made on the craft while we're leaving. a Rapid Escort Craft will be here shortly to take you to Milinar; one of Vardia's moons"
