"Not races. those are actually the first few letters of the two planets in the alliance, aside from us as a faction. Trandosha, and Geonosis" said the Commander...

Crowley arched a brow. "Only two planets? That seems a bit... small, for a faction."

"Everyone has their starting point somewhere. they're probably more advanced than we are, seeing as they have alot of better technology. we're actually setting up plans for contracts to be made between them and our Department of Scientific Advancement, to acquire some of their more advanced technology for study to help advance our own tech. we have about 14 colonies, 16 if you count Vardia's two moons, 17 if you count the home planet itself. but that's been acquired over a matter of months, at most, a year and a half. the farthest reaches of our borders are monitored by fleets equal to, or larger than this one" said the Commander as the ship slowed and began to descend to the floor of the massive hanger...

"Try not to spread yourselves too thin, though," Crowley suggested. "The UNSC did that once, and we lost nearly every planet we owned to the Covenant. You ever heard of the Covenant?"

"I'm afraid not. care to explain?" said the Commander as the craft touched down, the lights turning off as the door on the side of the craft slid open, a large, fairly streamlined SUV halting near the craft, the vehicle long enough to be compared to a bus, but the interior comparable to a limo. the Commander got in, and waited for the others to join him, as machinery approacged overhead to take the chopper for maintenence and parking...

Crowley followed Ridley with his Marines, who were chatting amiably with each other by this point. "The Covenant are, or should I say were, a group of alien races that believed that these ringworld structures, called Haloes, would make them gods. Of course, they thought we humans had defiled them and other 'holy relics' and decided to start a genocidal war against the UNSC, which we almost lost, were it not for the Covenant splitting after they discovered what the Haloes really did."

"And that would be?" asked the Commander, as the vehicle began to take them toward the central elevators to the officers' living quarters, a massive mechanical arm descending from the shadows above to take the vehicle they had been in earlier for maintenence...

"Wipe out every sentient species in the galaxy, if I'm not mistaken, at least when all of them were activated," replied Crowley. "They were built by some sort of race eons ago, as a last-ditch attempt to fight off the Flood. One of them has been destroyed, and the rest are definitely not going to be activated any time soon." He shrugged. "Other than the one that was destroyed, we only know one's location anyway."

the Commander raised his eyebrows in surprise. "every sentient race? and how would we know that the others haven't already been activated?"...

Crowley replied with a grin, "We're from that galaxy. The UNSC has just begun searching for new colonies here to replace the ones the Covenant glassed in ours. Of course, that's pretty much how we ended up here and ran into those ugly b******s from before, and then you."

"Would you care to name a few of the races involved in the Covenent?" said the Commander, as the vehicle was plunged into darkness for a few seconds as a Hayachi Gunship flew over them, it's three large rotors forming windows of light which came down around the vehicle as it flew on, heading for another part of the battleship's hanger to be fitted with a new type of ammunition which had just arrived from the Capital Planet, several more Gunships following the first that had just flown over the vehicle, all heading for the same place...

The Executor Class Star Dreadnought Reaper[i] was currently going through modifications and upgrades at the largest space station at the blockade. Hundreds of massive one mile long Star Destroyers stretched themselves across the blockade, ready to hyperspace into areas that required assistance. There were thousands of other ships of various classes to lend support. Kaine remained in the bridge of his flagship..all of this waiting and halts of advancement were troubling them. They had countless of systems, an entire galaxy filled with innocents and military forces..it was almost that simple.
"Those forces that Revan engaged must be tough" One officer shrugged.
"You could say that...the small defense fleet that went ahead held their own before falling against enemy numbers but once the Annihilator arrived..things changed. The damn thing pretty much ripped everything in range apart...however the enemy's boarding parties managed to infiltrate the flagship.."
"Revan aint happy..I can tell you that" The first officer responded.
"Well the Death Star worked but I heard that Revan is going to personally help fight off the invaders..sounds interesting" The second man said.
"Eh..you've seen some executions and when he fought Jedi..looks like the flagship is bound to be re-taken"
"But not before heavy damage has been done..You cant be an army killer..even if your a Jedi"
"The guy's a Jedi Killer" One of the officers smirked before walking off..realizing more reports were coming in. The two proceeded back to their posts, noticing as Kaine spoke to another officer about more reports from the thousands of probe who spreaded themselves all across the galaxy..

Mal'Ganis was once again enjoying a strange meal on the planet, the ship still not ready to take him elsewhere. He wondered if he could make the current planet a residence of sorts, seeing as the Empire not yet pursued him...But it was risky on both ends. If he moved around, it would make him harder to track, but he might end up drifting into their territory. Staying on this outer planet would bide him some time, but he might be found eventually...

Crowley listed the species off his fingers. "There were the San' Shyuum, or Prophets, who were the religious leaders. I don't know what happened to them after the Covenant dissolved. Then there's the Sangheili, who you know of. There's also the Jiralhanae, or Brutes. Nasty guys. Same goes for the Kig-Yar, or Jackals. They also had Lekgolo worms, who formed colonies to make Mgalekgolo, which we called Hunters, and were sort of like living tanks. The Yanme'e, which we called Drones, were another, and there were also Unggoy, or Grunts. They weren't that bad, by themselves."

"Alot of those names sound familiar. i think they were involved in the encounter with the Sangheili back on Geonosis. same encounter in which we met the Koult, the Flood. i think the Brutes and Grunts were involved. can't really remember"...

"Well, Brutes are basically big, tall, hairy apes, and Grunts are even shorter than we humans are, really squat, cowardly, dumb, and they wear specialized equipment that allows them to breathe on a planet with a non-methane atmosphere," said Crowley. "Not very smart, Grunts, but they can be vicious when they have a Brute or Elite leading them."

"Admiral..we've had a lone gunship stray off from Imperial Territory as three Star Destroyers were in pursuit of the ship. The Star Destroyers were attacked, two fled but one was not as lucky..we know of the last known location on some random planet..Revan and his men intended on following but in turn, stopped and changed their plans..the Annihilator proceeded to go with the Death Star to obliterate an enemy controlled planet" A young officer stated.
"You tell me this now?" Kaine asked, rather angry that he wasnt aware of this.
"We..were just informed, we were currently focused on the battle itself, we almost forgot about the gunship. Records from Revan indicated that a..Jedi took control of the gunship and fled..pursuit was halted upon entering enemy territory" The officer responded.
"Ready my ship..the Jedi must be caught!" Kaine ordered.
"Admiral, we cant issue such an order, Revan is dealing with that situation!" The officer countered.
"Dont take me as a fool..I'm aware however, that Jedi must be caught..Revan will be quick to ready himself..we only need to set a blockaid of the planet and make sure none leave.." Kaine ordered. The officer had no choice but to agree...

The Reaper was coming..

Mal'Ganis's vision suddenly blurred, feeling yet another explosion of what seemed like pain. Yet, nothing was wrong...but the feeling of dread did not leave him. Deciding to ignore as best as he could, the Jedi continued eating his strange meal, which was actually rather good. He began wondering about the planet itself, how it was still free from control. With such powerful military factions in the universe, this system seemed like a prime target, the residents having no kind of defense from what he could see. There had to be something he couldn't see outright...and whatever it was, it was working...

The Reaper and eight other Star Destroyers began to head away from the blockaid and instead, face the empty face that lay before them. They werent even sure if the Jedi remained where he was but they still had coordinates. They tracked the Jedi to that unknown planet..if there was no Jedi, they could take over..if there was a Jedi, they would capture him and then proceed to also take over the planet. It was a win-win situation but they werent sure about enemies that wanted control but no matter, if needed..reinforcements would arrive. This newly added territory would only increase the size of the Galactic Empire but while they held countless planets, they needed to destroy foes along the way. Soon enough..Grevious would be attacked.

Kaine stared dead forward..there could be no mistakes..he was using his command to make his own orders, something without Revan's permission. If things were done right..the mission would be preformed without problems. The small task force then hyperspaced away...heading towards the mysterious planet..

Mal'Ganis was once again hit with the strange feeling, shaking his head to regain his senses. Deciding to try and walk it off, he threw away the disposable plate, heading off down the street in an attempt to stop the sensations. Finally regaining his sharp senses, he relaxed, but did not return to his room...
