The crab like machine within Grievous's fortress suddenly stirred once more, receiving all information collected by the spy. They weren't stupid...they wouldn't assume the Imperials would simply call off the invasion, and Grievous had to be warned. "General...we have miscalculated...The Imperials are heading for Geonosis...An unknown ally of theirs is setting up an attack as we speak...We must discuss their plan face to face..." a voice in the cyborg General's mind suddenly said, taking advantage of the cybernetic parts of the droid general to communicate...

Grievous stopped mid-blow, listening to the message. He stepped back from Galen, growling, "Stay here, human. I'll finish with you when I've dealt with some business..." He walked through one door, heading down the corridor as the door shut behind him, not worrying about the possibility of Galen escaping, considering he was trapped in the arena. Just to make sure, however, he made sure a few B2s watched him, who marched in through a couple other doorways. Grievous walked into the command room and up to the machine. "I don't see why you worry, droid. Geonosis, Trandosha, it doesn't matter. I can easily take care of them either way."

"Don't underestimate your enemies, General...This unknown ally has proved formidable. Our previous spy was uncovered by what we assume was one of their agents...a Marican sentinel." The machine droned simply, a small hologram playing the short attack sequence that the spy drone had captured. "A second was sent...it gathered information about the invasion. Something called "The Cypher" is launching an attack as we speak...they are cloaking themselves, and will attack simply to confuse your forces...But that is not all. The Imperials are assisting them with hyperspace blockades...that means they will trap the resistance on Geonosis, and prevent any aid from the outside." the machine droned, closing the hologram quickly. "Something called "The Myro" is creating the shroud...find it, destroy it, and the unseen attackers will be reveled. Otherwise...the massive Imperial fleet, including the Battlestation, will be heading for Geonosis with the intent on destroying it..." the machine droned, trying to give the cyborg General as much information as he could...

Grievous narrowed his eyes, thinking. The Maricans were his allies, or at least on peaceful terms with him. it didn't matter now, though. His main problem was this "Shroud..." After awhile, Grievous said, "I will send the Malevolence and a portion of my fleet to Geonosis to defend it effectively. I'm guessing the Shroud is somewhere near Geonosis as well?" He planned on dealing with that personally, if he could.

"A distance from the planet, to surprise any fleeing resistance, I'd assume, but still acting as an anti-escape measure. We were cut out of the conversation before the Cruisers creating the blockade were launched...it may be too late to hyperspace to Geonosis." The machine droned, trying to aid the General as best as he could. "The only other travel I can foresee is simple space flight...which will take time, of course." the machine suggested.

"Geonosis isn't too far away," said Grievous. "We'll beat the Cruisers easily." He turned away, sending an order to OOM-6: "OOM-6, get to the secondary flagship! I will commandeer the Malevolence. Keep guard over the Trandoshan orbit, while I handle some extra business." He looked over his shoulder at the drone. "Keep an eye on the human in the training arena. He shouldn't be too hard to find, but he seems very keen on resisting incarceration. Kill him, if necessary."

"As you wish...Shadow Haven will aid you as best they can during the battle..." the machine added, having heard what his superiors' plan of action was, be refused to relay such information to the General. The crab like machine scuttled off toward where the prisoner was held...

Grievous stalked off, muttering Trandoshan curses to himself. Apparently, the Empire didn't enjoy even a moderately fair fight. Then again, neither did he...

A few minutes later, and Grievous had landed in the Malevolence's hangar bay, taking a maglev train across the gargantuan craft to the Bridge. He had simultaneously ordered several dozen Brawlers and Providence-class Destroyers to follow him to Geonosis. The vast majority of the fleet would stay at Trandosha in case the information was false.

A list of contacts streamed down the Myro's list of things to do.... The imperial cruisers they had requested. It added them to the shroud easily enough. Instantly, the cruisers disappeared from all digital sensors... the data being edited and edited over and over again...

The Cypher's voice reached each ship master simultaneously. "You must move quickly. Head to the prescribed co-ordinates. They lie between Trandosha and Geonosis, randomly spaced. These locations should put you in effective range, yet out of the way of stray shots. Do not fire at enemy, unless you are being fired at. Deception is crucial to this manoeuvre. May your gods be with you. "

Another message reached Revan "Do not be alarmed. We shall return to your Cruisers to you once they are out of danger. For now, you shall see no more of them."

He quickly reverted his attention to what was happening at Trandosha, one of his Longbow's long range optics observing the planet, watching grevious's fleet leave...

He sent a final message "Squad 3, Long range weapons charging. Report location"

A digital marker quickly arrived in reply, marking the squads units as dispersed around Trandosha, at distances varying from within a parasec to nearly 4 parasecs away... the Myro's Amplifier for the squad was located somewhere around the 2 parasecs mark, currently floating in the middle of nowhere..... all as it should be...

Grievous stood on the Malevolence's bridge, staring out into the void of space. He had a bad feeling the Maricans, or whoever was helping the Empire, were one step ahead, and he didn't know just what they were up to. He snarled, "Next time I run into those d*mned Maricans, I'm going to vaporize every last one of those cowards..."

A group of objects rocketed through space, moving at extreme speeds without hitting hyperspace. They were given the coordinates from the conversation the spy had detected, heading toward that general area to dismantle the attackers before the invasion began. Each object was surrounded in black, almost liquid-like smoke, the smoke itself black as the space around it. The things themselves were hidden beneath the smoke, only the trails of flames behind them visible to an onlooker, moving toward the target area at a rapid pace...

Alex watched the Vardians get back into their vehicle, taking a pair of sun glasses out of his pocket and putting them on. He turned and walked back towards the Arrow, his escorts following. The ramp began retracting the moment they stepped onto it, quickly disappearing into the chunky ship. Its hover jets roared into action, pushing the craft into the air. It turned smoothly and and accelerated away from the Spaceport, heading for the Vardian's testing area....

The moment Alex entered the ship, the change in the air was obvious. The smell of vast quantities of alcohol and a hazy mix of conflicting air fresheners... Unphased, he turned right out of the airlock and headed into a dully coloured corridor which curved around the main hanger. The common room was above the hanger, where the majority of the crew would be. He grabbed a ladder and quickly clambered up onto the second deck, the dull thump of music from the common room reaching his ears. A Trandoshan with a strange robotic attachment over one eye stumbled out of a dorm suddenly, clearly hung over from last nights party.

Alex instantly grunted "Stik, you were supposed to be in the hanger an hour ago. Sober up and get to work, on the double" The Trandoshan coughed and replied croakily as he passed "Sure thing... Sorry boss..."

It was always like this when Alex declared the ship off duty. Everyone had a big party, used up all beer, ruined any relationships they were in and then spent the rest of the off duty period recovering....

The room was silent when suddenly there was a faint beep and the comling speaker blared with the captains voice, CERO! Gets your a** up here! There was a groan as the Ahzil rolled off his bunk. Alright, alrigh,t jeez dont need to shout. Cero walked over to the com-unit and flipped a switch. Whats up captian? There was a split second of silence before the captian began yelling. Whats up?! WHATS UP!? Whats up is who the hell is flying this tin can, we got the logic drive installed for a reason! Cero rubbed his ear feeling as though he had gone deaf for a moment before he flipped the switch again. I put us on a detour captain, it'll take longer to get to the client but in the mean time we shouldnt have any trouble. Suddenly the ship shook and ornaments and antiguettes fell from there shelves in the Ahzil's room. As it stopped shaking the speaker blared again. So i suppose you wanna go outside and tell that to the pirates. Without a moments hesitation Cero grabbed a brown and grey jacket off the floor and ran out the door of his quarters sprinting down the hall at full speed.

Sara do what you can to keep the engines from going up! Captain Badon's voice echoed. The female engineered responded quickly, Aye captain, but there wont be much to save if we dont lose those guys. Badon, snarled under hsi breath, I'm getting too old for this. A male voice suddenly interrupted, Rear deflectors are failing dont know how long we can hold. Toby your supposed to be the one figuring out how to fix that problem thats what i hired you for. Badon bellowed. Well i cant do anything else, i've already transferred power from weapons to shields and even that was a longshot after having to cut all that power to acces the terminal in Cero's room. Toby said his glasses barely hanging off his nose from panic. A pale blue haired girl stood off to the side with another, violet haired, girl beside her.

Suddenly with blurring speed a figure shot past the captains chair and leaped over the gaurdrail into the pilots seat below. Took you damn long enough! Where the hell have you been, get us the hell out of here! The captain was interupted as sparks began to fly from the circuits. With the flip of a trigger Cero slammed forward on the thrust control giving the ship a speed boost. He flipped another switch and pulled the thrust control back out before slamming it in again as the logic drives suddenly flared in bright light causing the ship to vanish before the pirates eyes...

The Cruisers moved swiftly, proceeding onward towards their destination..fully aware what they had to do. A few cloaked TIE Defenders served as escorts and due to their status as the most elite and deadly star fighters the Imperials had, they would be able to defend the cruisers from other enemy cruisers and other starfighters. Going up against capital ships wasnt their focus..it was just to make sure the cruisers were safe. The cruisers themselves were much smaller then Star Destroyers which while it had disadvantages, they were obviously alot faster..

Revan slowly nodded. "Understand..do what you must, their under your command" Revan responded to the Cypher as he narrowed his eyes..every fraction was racing to give them the advantage at the moment..

The small group of Grievous' ships made their way to Geonosis, but not at sublight speed. At least, not completely. They constantly made mini hyperspace jumps to speed up their pace. Grievous didn't want to simply head their directly through hyperspace, or the Imperial Cruisers would just force them back into realspace before they had a chance to set up an attack plan at their destination. The cyborg general was in a hurry, but he wasn't careless. He wanted to get there in one piece, but also with a plan...

The Cypher didn't reply. There was no need. Everything was set now and it was only a matter of time... He needed to trap the malevolence between two blockades where they could be pounded from all sides....

Then there was the flood of contact data. Grevious's fleet as well as some unknown targets rapidly approaching one of the blockades. Only spotted with boundary sensor, so it was possible that they were a cluster of asteroids.

The start of the pre-strike couldn't begin until the Malevolence was trapped and the rest of the fleet blocked off....

The smoke covered machines slowed their speed to almost a complete stop, arriving in the general area of the target location. As the machines stopped, more of their features became apparent. Hidden by the smoke, the machines had fairly long necks, ending in a head filled with razor sharp metallic "teeth", massive stiff wings pointing out far on each side, lacking arms of any kind, but instead had two powerful legs, resembling wyverns in design. Their tails, which extended past their previous length now that they had stopped, ended in a single jagged spike, which curved at the end, usable as an anchor. The smoke itself disguised them as space itself...making radar and sensory equipment believe they were simply nothing but the black space around them. The machines spread out, searching the area for enemy presence...

The captain sighed falling back in his chair for a moment before bolting upright again. You idiot what the hell were you thinking turning off the communications terminal! Cero didnt look at Badon and simply replied, I deserved a break... besides you owe me some gratitude, remember im the one he "acquired" the logic drive for us. You mean stole, and from a military convoy its high grade tech you brought not many ships have the capability of moving faster than the limitations of hyperspace travel much less rift-space you know its designed as a tunnel and one impact with the walls in rift space can send us crashing and burning. the captain argued. Cero scoffed, dont lecture me old man, i know what im doing. Cero flicked a switch and the tunnel shape of rift space faded going back into normal space, silent and endless. There happy now we'll be in Airoghyl in a few days... im goign back to sleep. Cero commented walking away.

Before the captain could speak the pale skinned girl spoke silently in an innocent tone of voice. You have great responsibility... leaving your station without warning can have mass consequences. One day not even your silly stunts wont save us. The girl looked up with forelorn eyes. Yeah well until then we dont need to worry, Cero growled before walking through the door leading down back the direction he came from.

That boy is a pain in the a**, Badon groaned as he slumped back in his chair. You of all people captain, should be able to deal with it, after all you hired him to fly this cruiser and he has gotten us out of a lot of scrapes... he deserves some respect. Sara looked up from her seat once then turned back. Oh! Who asked you?! Sara and Toby simply started cuckling under there breath.

"General, Geonosis is only a few million kilometers away," reported one of the droid pilots, to Grievous' satisfaction. He didn't detect anything out of the ordinary, so he immediately contacted the Geonosian Archduke, Sun Fac. Sun Fac's hologram appeared on one of the consoles, saying, "General Grievous? This is unexpected." Grievous nodded. "So are a lot of thing.s Prepare for a possible attack. Set up the planetary shield, and get your fighters and capital ships in the sky, but keep them hidden behind the asteroid field until I give the order." After a pause, Sun Fac nodded. "Very well." The hologram switched off, and Grievous watched as the orange planet grew larger as they grew closer. The asteroids would confuse even the larger ships in the Geonosian fleet as oddly shaped asteroids, so they were a useful ambush in case things went awry...

"We've confirmed the enemy flagship has left Geonosis and has been occupied for a moment but the point is, were still dealing with a large enemy fleet..but that doesnt matter, the battle-station only needs a few moments and with the fleet were bringing, it doesnt matter.." Draco responded..the elite and ruthless ARC Trooper Captain responding to the Dark Lord of the Sith who nodded. The Sith looked around..thinking and waiting..he was just waiting for repairs to be done for the Annihilator but then again..he perhaps wanted to change direction in this one and personally engage the enemy in his Star Fighter..
