As Spencer entered the cove, he caught sight of a couple of piercing, glowing yellow eyes looking down at him from a large rock near the back of the cove. "You summoned me?" rattled the creature. Spencer simply looked at the creature. "What's the status of Brimstone?" said Spencer. the creature's eyes closed, a low thump coming not far from him, further down the walkway-like ridge that went along the side of the cove. "The New York Branch was burned to the ground. apparently nobody made it out alive. I'm still trying to find out who did it" hissed the creature as it stood in front of Spencer, easily half a foot shorter. "I want you to find out who, and let me know as soon as you do" said Spencer. "Sure, sure. you're the boss, uuh, Boss" hissed the creature. "I also want you to find out what else is going on in New York. see what's going on with the Castes and find out what that Demon Lord there is doing" said Spencer. The creature simply chuckled. "Boss, New York's a warzone. all hell's broken loose there. Vampires against Demons. Demons against Demons. Assassins against Demons. Random fucks against Vampires AND Demons. Werewolves against Vampires, Demons, random fucks, Assassins. It's chaos. Since Brimstone's influence on the area disappeared, it seemed like every damned Demon, Vampire and Werewolf in the state went rabbid. they're crawlin' outta the fuckin' woodwork, Boss" hissed the Creature. Spencer nodded almost abscent-mindedly. "I want you to get me the names of all the biggest Supernaturals in New York. the ones really running the show. add that to the list along with the one who destroyed the Brimstone Stronghold" said Spencer. "Don't worry, Boss. i'll get on it" hissed the Creature, before walking towards the entrance of the cove, the moonlight shining on it, revealing it as an extremely ugly, distorted looking Demon, with spikes sticking out of it's shoulders and down either side of it's spine, a long, thick, reptilian tail writing behind it like some kind of snake. the end revealed itself to be a double bladed club, the Demon swinging it sideways against the wall of the cove, two deep, jagged gashes appearing in the rocks. with a hiss, the creature faded out of sight, seemingly dissipating. Spencer reached into his vest pocket and pulled out an oval cigarette container. he twisted the top and pulled it open, tapping it on the bottom to make one of the cigarettes jump loose, before pulling it out and putting it in his mouth, returning the container to his vest and clicking his fingers, the suddenly stone-rough fingertips sparking a flame which flickered on his index finger. he brought it to the top of the cigarette, lighting it, before clenching his fist, putting the flame out as he turned to walk out of the Cove. he didn't look forward to telling Drake about Brimstone...alot of his closest friends worked in that particular building...
Drake chuckled. "Energetic. mind you, they're alot younger than we are. maybe that's why" he said with a smirk. he knew that wasn't the case. aging with Vampires didn't work the same way it did with normal people. it was more often than not the exact opposite. as he reached the door he pushed it open. "After you"..
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
