"This is quite a trip to get to the bridge..." Spectre droned, his voice like a blend between a human and a machine, stepping onto the lift without another word...

One of the MagnaGuards replied in a deep voice, "The Malevolence is 20 kilometers long. It requires an extensive tram system to traverse effectively." The lift began to rise, beginning its journey to the top of the Malevolence's tower, where the bridge was...

Several Vong ships had massive holes punched in them, and they began to drift aimlessly, crashing into several more that couldn't get out of the way. Through the resulting debris cloud, the Vong fleet began hurling massive chunks of molten slag at the Vardian ships from the crevices in the ships' coral hulls...

"I see...quite a large ship..." Spectre droned, not seeing the need for such a large craft, when it was the guns that mattered...

"Indeed," was all the MagnaGuard said, before the lift stopped and the door opened, revealing the bridge. Grievous, standing on the raised platform in the middle, was watching the battle outside through the viewport, back to the lift, arms folded behind his cloak. The MagnaGuards stood at attention on either side of the lift, letting Spectre pass...

another volley was fired, this time being nuclear weaponry, each shell accompanied by 4 smaller ones, moving ahead of it. the Manticores steadily rotated around the area they were assigned to defend in a fluctuating clockwise formation, keeping them safe from enemy attacks...

This time, the Vong ships absorbed the shells with their dovin basals, rendering the attack harmless, firing a steady stream of plasma at the Vardian fleet. They couldn't dodge forever...

The TGDA fired more missiles, taking out a single civilian ship, but also hitting the frontmost craft, though this did little damage. The Vong fleet began releasing smaller ships in great clouds, the ships resembling giant tadpoles, with a hooked tail and "fins," with a single plasma cannon and eyelike viewports at the front. The troop transports began their journey towards Trandosha, too many of them to be shot all at once...

Spectre walked forward, toward Grievous, who his employers had identified. "General Grievous...nice to officially meet you. How goes the battle?" he droned to the cyborg general, glancing further into the bridge...

Grievous turned to face Spectre. "It has only just begun, Spectre. What is important is how it ends." Below and in front of the platform were many consoles, all of them manned by B1s. There was also a large tactical map in one corner, and several Security B1s patrolling around the bridge. The entire ship glowed an eerie red-orange from the glow of the consoles.

"give the Mantas the signal" said the Vice Admiral, the Bridge Commander giving the order to the Communications officer assigned to the Manta squadrons. the order was sent out, and the Mantas began to move...

In between volleys, the Vong fleet sent out Grutchins, which homed in on the Vardian ships, their thick shells protecting them from most attacks. They scratched against the Vardian shields, being blown back, though they kept charging forward mindlessly, weakening the shields in combination with the plasma volleys...

"Words to live by, General. I will remain by the lift with your droid guards...just in case your friends manage to board this ship." Spectre responded, folding his arms as he headed back toward the lift at the end of the bridge, not expecting the "Vong" would enter the ship...

"I'm more worried about those." Grievous pointed at the incoming troop transports. "We won't be able to take out all of them, so a ground battle is unavoidable. If it goes awry, I will head down there myself, and you will accompany me."

The Marines piled into a Pelican in the UNSC outpost's hangar, and one pushed his way to the cockpit, and soon the dropship was in the air. The robots rolled out into the hangar, watching the dropship fly off. One of them hissed hatefully, "You will not escape the Dalek Empire!" Its arm glowed ever brighter, then fired with such force, the Dalek rolled backwards a short distance, but the beam had the desired effect. The pelican, unshielded and rather slow, exploded in a large fireball, while the Daleks watched. "Back to the ships. They will not be able to send reinforcements..."

"Be happy you are not a general, then..." replied Grievous, watching as his fleet fired on the Vong fleet again, blowing dozens of transport into dust, and slowly chipping away at their larger ships, as well as the civilian screen...

"There's a hole" Piett suddenly stated.
"Fire!" Revan commanded. The Dark Lord of the Sith unleashing his order without any moment of hesitation. Within moments, The Annihilator unleashed its main Super Laser Cannon. The massive green beam shot through from the gigantic starship as it ripped through an open hole in the Vong defenses, piercing through several ships. Then suddenly in violent explosions, the vong ships were eradicated from the near unmatched super laser shot.
Having charged the shot was a smart idea and now the Imperials had their own openings. Hordes of missiles were fired...Assualt Concussion Missiles were primary missiles due to their speed and deadly effectiveness. While the Imperial's greatest strength was their overwhelming and devastating firepower, they werent as suited for stealth or firing with limited weapons...they didnt fight as effective at all.
The Imperial Fleet unleashed missiles and turbo lasers but to a limited extent. Hoping to avoid hitting the civilians.

The captured civilian ships suddenly began to move faster towards the fleet but more in particular...Trandosha. The Vong Ships began to slowly fan out but still remaining close to the civilian ships. Thousands of flaming astroids were sent ripping through space as they smashed into any ships in their way. The devastating impact could easily cripple a ship without any problem...

after every recoiling blow by the Grutchins, one of the powerful Plasma cannons would open fire, the heavy caliber guns blowing right through the targets, the shots sometimes coming from other ships in the fleet that weren't engaged. it wasn't long before the initial incoming attack was annihilated...

a hellstorm of incendiary and plasma missiles slammed into each of the Grutchins that managed to get passed the attacks, the Mantas flying past, literally thousands of missiles being unloaded from their missile pods at the enemy craft as they sweeped in from the sides, catching enemy craft in the crossfire and obliterating targets with little trouble, the Mantas making their pass and shooting off in opposite directions of eachother at high speed, stealth systems going back online to prevent being pinned down and shot at by the Vong craft...

The Vong ships continued to fire, the much larger, more powerful worldships turning to face the Vardian ships, seeing them as the greatest threat. The worldships' weapons fired such dense amounts of plasma, the Vardian fleet would have little chance of dodging.

The TGDA ships began sending out starfighters of every type, meeting Coralskippers in a vicious dogfighting competition. The Ssi-Ruuk ships were also assisting their Trandoshan allies, sending out expendable picket ships from their cruisers to bolster the TGDA's numbers.

The first Vong transports zoomed through the strategic gaps in the TGDA fleet's line, dropping like crates once they hit atmosphere. As they drifted to a landing, their plasma cannons fired, blowing away the small contingents of droids that attacked. A tube in the bottom of the transports would extend, dropping off a host of fanatical Yuuzhan Vong warriors. The hooks on their hulls helped the transports land, as well as lash against the newly-arrived droids that attack. The ground commander, Shedao Shai, stepped off one of the transports, spinning his serpentine Amphistaff in the air and howling a war cry...

the Vardian fleet returned fire, having seen the massive hole in the meat shield that was caused by the Vong's firing, a hellstorm of missiles, plasma shells and particle cannon fire ripping through targets viciously, the Worldships getting pelted with ordinance as the Vardian fleet spread out to make the most use of their weaponry, forming a massive wall of ordinance filling the gap between them. lightning-like energy arced along the Vardian warships' shields as the Compound Shields met the incoming plasma and magma based ammunition it was then that a blinding flash lit the battlefield up, it's source undeniable...

the H.V.M.S. Executioner drifted in from the side of the Vong fleet, the PSC being fired at one of the larger Worldships, the beam obliterating anything in it's path, an immeasurable number of explosions being caused on impact with anything unfortunate enough to be hit by the massive beam, as it's own Assault Fleet opened fire, Nukes, Neutron missiles and Plasma shells raining down on the Vong fleet in amounts too immense to avoid...

the Mantas were now picking off CoralSkippers anywhere they spotted them, their high speed and heavy armament making short work of their targets, the number of Mantas working together turning them into a lethal force to any fighter squadron they targetted...

TIE Fighters and TIE Defenders proceeded to move out to deal with the quickly growing number of coral skippers.
"Their numbers...I...I cant believe it" Piett slowly mumbled. Revan narrowed his eyes...they were seemingly no end to the hordes of Vong Ships. This was quickly becoming the largest Vong Fleet he had ever seen. The Annihilator along with several Mammoth Class Star Dreadnoughts held the center as best as they could...using their overwhelming and devastating firepower to blast at the core of the Vong Fleet. They were holding their own but the Vong were coming in from every angle as if they were attempting to smash through the combined fleet and towards the planet itself.
"This is Revan. Initiate Attack Plan Alpha 01. Obliterate those Vong Ships, their civilian shields are falling part, their taking random courses" Revan staed as he continued to watch.
"Their heading towards the planet! We have to take out their transports!" An Imperial officer shouted, communicating with the other Imperial ships.
"Red Leader take out that ship on the right and proceed to cover..."
"This is the Interceptor, were taking heavy damage, requesting assistance!"
"Incoming! Their now using the civilian ships as battering rams and smashing them against anything in their sights. Their completing mass suicide!"
The Dark Lord of the Sith listened to all that was going on, things were looking bad and it was obvious it was easily becoming worse. [/i]

Most of the weapons fire was absorbed by the dovin basals, which combined with each other to form a nigh-impenetrable wall of black holes. The PSC managed to break through, but it did little to the immense numbers of Vong ships. The same was true with the Coralskippers, which were equipped with their own dovin basals. The only way the TGDA starfighters could break through was to pepper them with low-powered laserfire, which was absorbed, then immediately follow it up with torpedoes, which served to blow many to pieces.

The ground battle was going significantly worse, though. The droids' weapons did little damage to the Vong's Vonduun Crab Armor, and the aliens swiftly broke through Grievous hastily-made defenses. Grievous, full aware of the debacle, hissed, "Spectre, IG-102 and 103, come with me. We'll be dealing with the Vong planetside ourselves. Let's see just how tough they are."

A single, massive Vong ship moved to the front of the Vong fleet, resembling a horrid weapons tower of immense size. The Kor Chokk Grand Cruiser, Tsavong Lah's Legacy of Torment, was nearly 30 kilometers tall, releasing a massive hail of plasma from its 400 Plasma Cannons at the Imperial ships, blowing them apart with ease, cutting a massive, bloody swathe through their ranks. At least a dozen worldships assisted the grand cruiser, in pitched combat against the TGDA fleet.
