The OWL dropped to the ground, swipeing out with its taloned feet, missing the cyborg by inches. They slammed into the ground drawing up sparks. It spun around, claws dragging through the tiled floor. Above its eyes, its dual disintergrator's slid out, the barrels interior lighting up. It opened fire, the guns projecting twin lines of bright tracer like bolts. They hammered into the ground at Grevious's heels, smashing against the rock he he was taking cover behind as well, blowing chunks of it apart and scattering dust into the air

Grievous rolled out of cover while the OWL was focused on the hill, firing a charged blast from his blaster at one of the machine's disintegrators, before he kept running, eventually hiding behind an undamaged boulder.

The charged blast was blown apart in mid air, colliding with the disintergrater bolts. the shots tore through the ground around the cyborg, blowing chunks out of the boulder. The weapons stopped firing, smoke and steam jetting from their sides. The OWL's two large wings rotated around until they were vertical and then the jets roared into life once more, lifting the gunship into the air. Two panels slid away from its chest, just beneath its wings. Six barreled gatling gun like missile launches sliding out. It simultaneously fired two rockets, the missiles arcing around, aimed behind the boulder, each having the explosive force of a grenade...

Grievous leaped on top of the border, then leaped up at the OWL, the explosions from the rockets behind him propelling him even higher and allowing him to land on the machine's top. Driving his sabers into the OWL's armor, and began working them back and forth, trying to gouge a hole in the machine before it managed to dislodge him, his taloned feet digging in to give him extra purchase...

The OWL's armour melted underneath the lightsabers, unable to stand up to the blades for very long... It pulsed its thrusters, sending the machine rising into the air quickly, slamming against the roof and trying to crush the Cyborg

Wrenching his Lightsabers free, Grievous rolled down the OWL, using two sabers to hang onto its side as the machine slammed into the ceiling. Putting two of his weapons away, Grievous pulled and EMP grenade from his belt, then used the other two sabers to launch himself onto the top of the OWL again, this time dropping the active grenade into one of the melted cracks the cyborg had made in his foe's armor. Grievous leaped off the OWL and sprinted back to cover, waiting for the grenade to explode...

Some parsecs from Transhoda, dark, yet massive shapes moved between various space debris, snaking through the blackness of space with surprising speed. The Devastators began to take positions around Transhoda, surrounding the distant planet from afar, well within their firing range, however. More, thicker shapes began to drift toward the planet from various sides, the Tarantula sentries gliding through space like enormous crustaceans...

Thrawn narrowed his eyes. The Imperial Fleet above the planet were identifying some odd ships approaching. He wasnt sure exactly what and figured that maybe the Trandoshans or Vardians would deal with it. "All ships rally to me...we may be dealing with something" Thrawn commanded. The massive Executor Class Star Dreadnought sent out messages to the spread out Imperial Fleet. A coordinated military strike was usually a common Imperial tactic but it was highly effective due to the overwhelming firepower. It was better to be safe then sorry considering they were not exactly familiar with Grievous and his businesses.

The Malevolence, flanked by the Invisible Hand II and an unmodified Brawler, moved forward, near the Imperial ships, simultaneously alerting Lissarkh to the the presence of the new ships...

"Looks like we've got a problem," hissed Lissarkh as she watched the Engineer stare curiously at the hologram of OOM-6, who had delivered his message. "Commander, send them a message asking what they want."

OOM-6 did as he was told, sending the requested message to the distant ships...

A single message was sent to the TGDA: "Blood."

Suddenly, a high-velocity shell crashed into the tip of the nearest Star Destroyer, the force of the explosion that followed forcing the craft downward, toward Transhoda, while its shields were obliterated in the process. The shell's origin seemed to point at one of the advancing Tarantula sentries...though in actuality, it came from far behind it.

Suddenly, one of Trandosha's planetary turbolasers fired at the origin of the shell, the massive beam of energy slamming into the Tarantula sentry and nearly vaporizing it. "This is your only warning," OOM-6 responded. "Leave now, or be fired upon."

the Vardian ships individually locked onto the incoming craft, preparing to engage, as the Revenge sent messages back and forth between the other factions' flagships to find out if any of them knew what faction these ships belonged to. the numerous Manticores, Collosi, Sovereigns and the Revenge had their weapons armed and ready to fire...

The Tarantula sentry's shield held off the attack as best as it could, lessening the actual damage to the machine. Around the planet more of the gargantuan turret-like machines began to appear, surrounding Transhoda and its occupants, though they did not fire. From seemingly all sides, high velocity shells crashed into the fleets defending the planet, as well as the planet itself on unguarded fronts, the plasma shells crashing into their targets in a precise order, forming a ring of explosions around Transhoda. Vardian, Imperial, and TGDA ships alike were hit by the attacks, the shells crippling lesser ships and obliterating the shielding of others, though no specific ships were targeted by the assault. The tarantula sentries moved forward as one, converging on the combined fleets, firing their enormous turbo-laser style batteries, hammering the defenders from seemingly all sides...

The Tortoise's forces watched in interest as the battle developed around them. The drones kept watch for incoming stray shots but wouldn't fire back unless the aggressors made a notable attack against them. The 4 perimeter Longbows meanwhile, occupied themselves by tracing the origin of the long range shots, out of curiosity more than anything else.

"Perhaps this is a clear indicator that Grievous is dead and it seems his killers are here for even more blood. Scan their ships and identify them at once. I want names. But the primary goal is simple... All ships open fire, show no mercy" Thrawn demanded. The tall alien Grand Admiral narrowed his eyes. He thought about every possible they had encountered so far. Thrawn began to narrow the list down...he would need to discuss with Revan, perhaps he knew. The Admiral then nodded as the Imperial Ships were hammared. The result was withdrawing power from the engines which would end movement and have that energy increase firepower and shields. The Imperial Ships begun at once as they had no choice but to fire back. Turbo Laser batteries opened up sending countless bolts of devastating power in the direction of the attackers. As the Imperial Fleet battled with its foes here...information was being sent back towards the vast Imperial Capital of Courscant.

the shields sparked wildly across the Vardian ships' hulls, the smaller ones losing their shields temporarily while others were damaged with various degrees of intensity. the Revenge sent message back to Vardian satellites, which sent it back to the Vardian high command on the Capital Planet. the Manticores traced the shots back along their original paths, returning fire with their numerous long range guns, almost light-speed ordnance of various types being fired back towards the enemy ships as the Vardian ships began rotating in orbit around Trandosha, completely intact ships coming to bare as damaged ones went behind cover to give time to recover their shields, a hailstorm of weapons being launched at the attackers. meanwhile, the Revenge remained over the capital city's tower, Vassek, in orbit, now slightly below the altitude where the rest of the ships were, to allow them to pass over it, it's own guns locked on all targets within sight on that hemisphere,it's numerous weapons ready to fire the moment they attempted attack, it's 6 PSCs charging as the directional turrets rotated to target the ships in sight, supporting the turrets already locked on them...

Meanwhile....

"After the whole lightsaber impalement incident...well, let's just say High Command wasn't happy with it. so the order was given out to acquire all known saber-resistant materials possible. we've got alot of them, and cross studied them to find out the properties that were matched in all of them, hoping to find the key to their resistence, and synthesize an artificial material with similar properties" said Aragren as he walked through the dark grey room with Serephir. "That must've taken ages" responded Serephir. "Well, to tell you the truth, it tok longer to actually make it than it was to find the property. no matter what they tried, they couldn't seem to find a material that was pliable AND resistant" responded Aragren. "So, presumably, anything artificially manufactured would also be non-pliable?" responded Serephir. "Precisely. they're working on a solution for that as we speak, but according to them, it won't be ready for a while. several months, at least" said Aragren. "So what is it you wanted to show me then?" asked Serephir. "Well, we said it was non pliable, but we DIDN'T say we couldn't make it with such fine parts that it was as good as pliable" said Aragren with a smirk. they walked into a small branch of the large lab, where a black and silver wet-suit like armour was kept inside a tall glass container, the shoulders covered in a series of armoured plates molded to fit. "Impressive" said Serephir. "This should be considerably safer than your current armoured suit. it's been completely geared with life support systems should something manage to get through. however, it's still experimental. by that i mean it won't be as high performance as your current armour. it's at least twice the weight, and considerably less flexible, meaning you won't be as fast moving in it. while it allows for standard movement and maneouverability, but you just won't be able to attain the same blistering speed you usually have. you'll probably still be several times as fast as your average person, but not quite up to par with how you are now. simply speaking, it's probably something you should only use if in a situation where speed just doesn't help" explained Aragren. "I'd preffer you keep it here until you've perfected it. so what if it takes several months. a year, two. keep it here. you'll be able to work much more effectively with this thing in the lab and accessable to scientists, that you would if it was in a completely different star system in the middle of a war. when you've finished constructing it and perfecting it, and have something at least 95% the pliability of my current armour, and less than one and a half times it's weight, THEN you can contact me about it. until then it's better you keep it here to continue research with a model you can work with up close" said Serephir. Aragren nodded. "The other thing i wanted to show you is a new weapon we have acquired from a group of weapons merchants..." he explained as he walked away from the display container...

As the OWL had its back pinned to the roof blocking the hole, the grenade hadn't entered its body, only sticking onto its armour. With a burst of light, the EMP grenade exploded, lightning bolts casting off the gunship's electrically shielded armour towards the ground and roof... The OWL hovered away from the roof, seemingly fine for a moment before its left wing began to fail, the jets of flame petering out at time, electricity crackleing around a number of sensors mid way along its length, other arcs jumped around the OWL in different parts, the EMP having found its way through various badly patched parts of its armour. The gunship barely managed a hover, sliding through the air, head glancing around searching for the cyborg. It could easily see him by reflecting its sensor beams off the walls and covering the entire room, but the EMP combined with the changes made to its threat evaluation program were confusing it as to what was the primary target...

After a few moments, its rocket launchers slid out again, beginning to spin. They both rotated around independantly tracking different targets, then begun firing, missiles firing out from each one in turn in rapid succession, blasting random boulders other obstacles...

The tarantula sentries continued their assault, closing in on the fleets as they did. The lead sentry, battered from various attacks, latched onto the nearest ship: An Imperial Star Destroyer. Its massive legs sunk into the unshielded vessel, crushing its surface defenses, which did little to puncture the invading machine's shields. The sentry continued to open fire from its current position, all missed shots by its enemies now striking the Star Destroyer under it, damaging it further.

In the distance, the manticores' shots collided with a few asteroids, their fire somewhat random and inaccurate, the Devastators positioned on false asteroids yet again, making them invisible to even high level sensors, excluding, obviously, actual vision. The machines were all cooling down from their original barrage, not yet attacking...

The TGDA fleet scattered, widening the gaps in their formation and making it harder for the indiscriminate fire to hit them. In the gaps, planetary turbolasers fired as fast as they could recharge, each beam finding its mark on an enemy ship. The TGDA ships joined in with their own weapons fire, which was weaker, but greater in volume, overwhelming even their foes' weaponry. Even so, Lissarkh was irritated. If only the turbolasers could fire a bit faster...

Grievous dove from behind a rock just before it was hit by a rocket, running towards the OWL. The cyborg jumped ad slid to dodge the craft's projectiles, before leaping onto the OWL's side, using his two sabers to slide up to the damaged area. Pulling out his blaster, he fired rapidly into the holes, blasting at the OWL's exposed innards, his Lightsabers holding him in place...

The OWL shook to the side, some of its thrusters failing. Now focused on what was the real threat, it barrel rolled around and swung one of its taloned feet up, managing to snatch Grevious, with a powerful tug, it tried to rip him off its armour, intending to try crush him...
