I don't recall making fun of your idea...I just said it lacked anything to actually do. People would be making "wander" posts until they lost interest completely.

However, I agree with CS: Its a sign we really don't need any more RPGs. If you really thought out an idea, go ahead and suggest it, but DO NOT just suggest RPGs for no good reason.

Well CS did kinda make fun off it. I'm not saying that my ideas are great all im saying is that it seems that if I suggest a RPG my idea is always mocked. I'm not trying to argue thats not my intention.

Ok gonna try to make my own RPG here. If its requested by more than 3 people ofcourse. So heres the plot im planning:


The year is 2125 aliens came to take over the world and started to built a nuclear energy weapon. The humans tried to destroy the weapon but finally it was done. The alliens launched the nuclear weapon and mutated the inhabitants of the whole world. But the weapon was so powerfull that it destroyed all of the alien ships and made them adapt to the destroyed world. There will be 5 kinds of races, so yeah thats my idea. Sorry if its a little short.

Few questions!
Level of technology the humans have access to?
Advancement of the human race?
Level of technology aliens have access to?
Whats the alien society like?
what are the aliens?
and lastly, did the weapon only mutate everyone or did it destroy cities and stuff as well?

Well the level of technology the humans have is Modern day technology. races. The humans mutated into diferent races.


Human race has turned to barbaric rarely forming aliances. Aliens have acces to slime energy guns, and some more energy shooting weapons.


Alien society is agressive and hates humans ofcourse.


Aliens are bald headed green guys. Gonna change it a lil so as you suggested im gona make them in one race.


And the weapon destroyed every city and mutated everything.

Thats extremely limiting.
Why do they only have WW2 tech?
And if they have no cities and are really barbaric AND have outdated weapons, how the hell are they still alive?
Why are their different races of aliens just for different personalities? Can't one race have all personalities?

I didnt mention any nukes. Also messed up on the technology there. Sorry i was watching a program on tv about WW2. Humans have acces to modern day technology. Also originally planned to make humans into mutated freaks with their survival depending on who they kill.

modern day technology would mean that the whole event had started 125 years prior to the current events. i don't think any weapon is durable enough to last 125 years, even with regular repairs....

also, the aliens sound a bit....stereotypical for my tastes. they sound like something out of a 60s martian horror flick...

They actually are :). And as for the humans, umm what is the latest weapon we have created today? An automatic sniper maybe. Sumthin like that. If it doesent work out il come up with the humans own weapons.

So why do they only have modern day tech? That makes marginally more sense than WW2.

Do they have the means to produce weapons/vehicles or are they too barbaric?

And Kp, Who gives a crap if they couldn't survive that long? its only an rpg.

Well the thing is they produced weapons just before the world was mutated. And with the WW2 weapons thing i was distracted because i was watching a WW2 program on TV.

eh. from what i can see, there isn't much in this RPG that would keep me interested...green men with slime guns aren't too appealing....

I know I haven't been very active, and I know that it may seem a bit rude to just randomly come and suggest a roleplay, but if people approve this one, I think it would work out rather nicely. I'm not quite sure what to do other than post it here and see what the Admins and people say =/.



Description: The Shadowrun world is cross-genre, incorporating elements of both cyberpunk and urban fantasy. The game is set approximately 60 years in the future of present-day Earth, and includes an account of important events from now until the time of the game. As in many near-future cyberpunk settings, Shadowrun includes advanced computer technology and sophisticated cybernetic implants. Unlike in a purely cyberpunk game, in the Shadowrun world, magic returns in 2011. Among other things, this causes humankind to split into subtypes, and some people take the form of elves, dwarfs, orks or trolls. Likewise, some animals turn into the familiar monsters of fantasy, and both monsters and human magicians gain supernatural powers. By the second half of the 21st century, when the roleplay is set, these events are accepted as commonplace. Meaning that people look at a Fantasy Creature the same they would a person of another race. It's just become normal nowadays.

To create a character for Shadowrun, the player selects whether the character will be human or one of the human subtypes, and makes choices regarding body augmentation (cyberware), magic abilities, skills and gear. In this game, you are basically a Mercenary in a future where Technology and Magic co-inside. That, in truth, is the simplest way to put it. Please do not think that this RP is "Corporation Verses Magic." No, it is not like that.

You live in Detroit in the future, which has become the largest City in America, taking up over half of the state of Michigan. It is filled with large corporate buildings, and low scum filled shacks. It is a city with very little law, a complete and total criminal underworld, where everyone does what they can to survive.

Players will take the form of "Shadowrunners." This the term nowadays for elite Mercenaries who utilize both magic and technology to complete their contracts. Not all people may do this. In fact, most people can use no magic whatsoever. However, one way or another, Shadowrunners have come into contact with powerful magic artifacts giving them special abilities, which causes Employers to use them for their own personal gains, whatever it may be, although usually something illegal.

A note to all players, this game will be very gritty. To survive in the criminal future, you need to have, in all honesty, a bad character. Not necessarily evil, but you are a mercenary. You need to be conniving, on the top, you need to be able to kill when you have to, you need to be able to steal and lie and cheat when you must, you need to be able to make alliances when you see it fitting, and still be able to backstab them when the moment arrives.

All in all, to survive in the world of Shadowrun. . . You need to be a ****.

Plot: There's really no plot as of now, if people approve of this and I'm allowed to make it, I'll be glad to play as NPC's who hire people to do this or that.

If it's approved, I'll explain all the magic abilities and guns and races allowed and blah blah in the Profile Topic.
