Zombie Outbreak RPG

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

as Vergil bolted down the alley, arms burst out of windows, trying to get ahold of him, though only resulting in a few broken arms on the zombies' parts. Vergil left the alley, glancing right and left, spotting a couple of particularly decomposed shufflers eating a third, which was seemingly missing it's lower limbs, and had apparently starved to the point it was losing function in it's body. he didn't give them another glance as he continued, aiming for his safe haven...

John followed Vergil through the alley, making sure to avoid the arms coming out of the windows. One of them managed to grab his shirt, but it only succeeded in ripped the shirt and irritating John. That was my favorite shirt! he thought to himself. He kept moving to avoid not being left behind. When they came to the end of the alley and into the street, John noticed the two zombies eating another zombie. "It's a zombie eat zombie world," he mumbled to himself. He then continued following Vergil, hoping to get to his safehouse soon.

Vergil rounded a corner after a 3 block sprint, slipping into another alley, and stopping in a large gateway after another several meters of running. behind it was the area where numerous dumpsters were kept for disposing of the restaurant's typical waste output. Vergil let John in, slid the large steel bar into place, locking the gateway shut, then entered a doorway into the restaurant and closing that behind them as well, before hurrying into the kitchen of the restaurant, pulling a key from his pocket, unlocking a large steel door and getting inside, closing it right after John arrived sealing it shut with the makeshift chain-lock, holding the door firmly closed. the room was all but pitch black, no light getting in, the only alternative route out of the room being a ventilation shaft near the cieling of the massive freezer, through which, thanks to some modifications on Vergil's part, some light got in during the day time by way of numerous mirrors. it was the only way he could get light into his safehouse, and it had taken a considerable amount of time and effort to pull off, but the end result was worth it. it cast a light in the darkness that was his safehouse for most of the day, and at night, his inactivity insured him no unwantd attention was drawn to him. Vergil moved over to where the foam matress he took from a furniture store, was. it was little more than a 2 inch thick spongy mat, but in the months since he found it, he never once thought it was a mistake. he lay down, still breathing hard from the chase, almost positive he had at least lost the shufflers...

When John saw that they finally got to the safehouse, he was relieved. He was out of breath and gasping for air when Vergil led him into the freezer. I miss my old safehouse, he thought to himself. But at least this is better that nothing, he reassured himself. He managed to say a few words while out of breath, "I... I think I lost a few pounds from all that running." He said with a grin. He then lay down on the floor and said to Vergil," I can't wait to see how tomorrow will be like."

"Let's hope it doesn't involve us being turned into living chewtoys" said Vergil calmly...

As the charred remains of the two zombies were left sizzling right outside the building, the heavy metal door swung open, the Professor stepping out with two rubber gloves on his hands, cutting off a few chunks of the decaying, burnt flesh, dropping the samples into test tubes before dragging the charred bodies away from the building, a look of disgust on his face...

Charles looked around, once again hearing strange noises coming from above and around the police station. "Man I really hate being popular..." he said sarcastically, clenching the handle of the gun tightly...

the Reaper landed with a crunch, in an alley at the side of the police station. it's rattling hiss echoed loudly in the empty streets. Jose glanced around in the police station, weapon in hand, knowing the sound was coming from somewhere near the entrance, but not knowing where exactly...

A series of crunches could be heard on the second floor of the shopping complex, the cause being the massive beast currently hunting within the building. Nemesis was getting irritable. restless. now that he had had a true encounter with this human, he was determined to make sure it didn't live to tell of it. he had pursued it for over 3 city blocks in a flat out run. the human had escaped twice thanks to luck. once when his chase was cut short by the ground collapsing under his feet during a pursuit, and again when the human managed to get behind a surprisingly sturdy barricade. he didn't intend to let him escape a third time. upping the pace, Nemesis moved on, the crunches beneath his feet constant due to shattered glass and other debris from the shops at his side. however, as he passed the entrance of one such shop, something gripped his leg and almost caused him to fall, Nemesis going down on one knee to stabilise himself. a low growl came from him as he straightened again, turning his head to face the attacker, a kreature with one large arm, and what seemed a small worm-like extension or perhaps the remains of muscle tissue from the other arm. the creature swung at him with it's other arm again, the arm stretching strangely towards Nemesis, who sidestepped the swing just as a set of claws burst forth from the 3 otherwise normal fingers. the arm was drawn back, a noticable recovery time visible in the creature as the returning arm caused it to go back a step. Nemesis made use of this time, charging forward and ramming the creature, which was 2 feet shorter than himself, the one armed monster tumbling back into the outside display of what turned out being a Sports shop, slamming right into the display and crushing the mannequins inside, and falling into a hole in the wooden bottom of the display. the creature heaved itself up and swung it's arm forward again, but Nemesis was ready for it this time, sidestepping it with alarming speed for his size, grabbing ahold of the arm, his strength crushing whatever bone existed inside the arm, and pulling it towards him, the creature stumbling forward, Nemesis sending one of his tendrils out of his free hand, which he had positioned perfectly to meet the stumbling beast, the tendril stiffening as the creature fell face first into Nemesis' hand, it's head being impaled by the purple-ish grey tendril, coming out the back of the head tinted red, the creature in hand falling limp, the tendril being pulled back into Nemesis' arm as he tightened his grip on the skull and lifted the creature off the ground, and threw it sideways over the railing down to the first floor, crushing a table in the external cafeteria below with a loud crash, plates, glasses, the wood itself bein crushed under the creature's weight, the sound of it echoing loudly throughout the area. Nemesis let loose a roar, before proceeding with his hunt for the human...

Kieran looked up, hearing a faint roar from a different part of the building... he had to keep moving. He continued sifting through the junk and waste pilled into the old shop. The place had been looted thoroughly already, but he still had hopes. The mangled store was dark and dusty, even with his headlamp, visibility was poor at best. Stepping over a toppled shelf, he found a blood spattered gear bag, a trail of dried blood stains leading away from it... Someone had been clearing the place out and dumped their stuff before leaving. He quickly knelt down and unzipped the bag, rooting through its contents. Lots of nails, power tools and glue. He took the glue, throwing the power tools to the side, they were useless to him without electricity It didn't take him long to find what he had been looking for. A Hammer. He examined it a moment before twirling it and adding it to his tool belt, returning to scavenging through the bag shortly after...

after several minutes of slow, careful searching, Nemesis had found the scent trail. the beast moved towards an escalator which had seemingly been used to get to the lower level. not wanting to waste time with the rickety, dilapidated mechanical staircase, Nemesis leapt over the side of the railings, hitting the ground with a crash as he crushed a large table belonging to one of the many lower floor cafes, the plastic surface below shattered completely under his weight, Nemesis landing in a kneel, before standing straight, a low snarl being eminated from the beast as he began to pick up the pace, planning to corner and crush his quarry soon...he had no intention of letting it escape...'live' prey was hard to come by lately. he didn't intend on letting the other beasts roaming the city to get to them first...he'd slaughter them all if he had to...

Kieran heard the crash from outside, it was muffled, still some distance away... but now he was running out of time. He threw the bag under a broken shelf and quickly hopped over the counter, pushing the mangled door open and sneaking into the back of the shop, looking for a ventilation shaft...

Nemesis continued following the scent trail, going past a table that the Human had apparently rubbed against as he rushed for wherever he was heading. it wouldn't be long now...

Pushing his way through the stock room, Kieran soon found what he was looking for, a vent. He pulled out his Crowbar and slammed it against the top of the grate, anchoring it in place and levering it off the wall, the old metal coming away easily. He reattached the crowbar and ducked down, shining a light down the shaft before crawling in, barely able to fit...

the scent trail led into a shop not far from him, a bit of debris from the looted store in the doorway. Nemesis walked into the hardeware store, a rumbling growl echoing in the ransacked shop as he began his search. he walked over to one of the damaged shelves, not a single tool still hooked on the racks, some empty nail and screw-boxes laying on the floor in various places, other debris including buts of cardboard where power drills and other such tools would be attached. snarling, he swung an arm forward, a tendril ripping right through the shelf and coming out the other end, impaling the shelf behind it as well. finding nothing, he retracted the tendril, and kicked the shelves, sending it rumbling over and falling onto the shelf behind it, causing them to collapse onto eachother with a deafening crash. glancing around for a sign of life, and finding nothing, he snarled, moving further into the shop, again following the scent in hopes of finding his target, though the scent had been somewhat weakened by the dust kicked up from the shelves' destruction...

Hearing the thunderous crash from behind, Kieran picked up the pace scrambling forward through the vent, praying to find a turn quickly, he was making a lot of noise and the vent shuddered awkwardly. The first gap he found, he immediately tried to turn, his clothes getting caught off a grate below him, slowing him. He managed to unhook it before it ripped and continued on, launching himself into the next shaft...

looking up at the noise, Nemesis snarled. he couldn't believe he didn't notice it earlier. in the back of the shop, a vent cover lay on the floor, and an open vent was visible. the human had escaped through there! with a roar Nemesis charged forward, slamming a fist through the vent as several tendrils shot forward, zipping past where Kieran had turned off and imbedding themselves in the vent surfaces around them, before being retracted. Nemesis snarled in frustration. he ALMOST had the human. and now it'd escaped AGAIN...

Standing up slowly,The Leaper shook his head, before jumping out of the long broken window, landing in the small imprint of his foot that he had made from the impact of his many falls.Sticking his decaying nose into the air,he breathed in deeply, looking over any of the smells that hinted at the location of prey...

The wounded Komodo Killer heard the sound form the impact. It ran as fast as it could, leaving a trail of blood. It wasn't paying much attention to its surroundings and it ran into a dead-end. It knew whatever made the sound would be much stronger than it and would probably kill it, but it thought it still had a fighting chance. The Komodo Killer stood in the alley and waited for its eventual demise.

Smelling the blood,The Slasher let out a howl and chased after the scent.Turning into the alley,The Slasher slowly walked forward, before lunging with his blades, crashing into the creature and pushing them both down.

OOC:You can kill it. Everyone has permission to kill the Komodo Killers, but their pack leader, the Komodo Genocider, needs permission in order for you
to kill it.

The Komodo Killer felt the blades pierce through its scales, blood gushing out of the wounds. The Komodo Killer then let out an ear-piercing scream. It then bit the arm of the attacker with all its might. It knew it was no match for this creature so it had to wound it to some degree so its pack would have an easier time killing it. It would keep its hold on the arm until the moment it dies.

Grunting at the pain of the bite,The Slasher calmly positioned his blade right under the Komodo Killer's head.Roaring in it's face,The Slasher thrust his blade up as hard as possible, going straight through the brain and out of the top.biting it's neck,he took the entire head off.Eating it quickly,he impaled the body and began dragging it behind him towards his nest,a slight grunt coming from his serpentine mouth after every pull...
