Nyx buried her head in the pillows again. She groaned and felt a bit better about it.

"now, get rid of that bad mood and cheer up. it's not worth the hassle of going around in this kind of mood. too stressful. save it for the real threats" said Drake as he lowered himself so that he could whisper it in Nyx' ear...

A shiver went up and down her spine as his warm breath tickled her ear. She whimpered and sank farther into the pillows.

Drake sighed, simply keeping a gentle, reassuring hand on Nyx's shoulder. if she wanted to lay there, he wouldn't stop her...

Nyx sighed and turned to him again and smiled slightly. "You're right as usual and I shouldn't let them push my buttons so easily," she said and sat up this time.

the next evening Drake was looking at a global mapping program on his laptop. "Nik, Vincent, come over here for a second" he called...


meanwhile, Mike and Spencer were heading for a car dealership in the city. due to the little space problem, they had to get another vehicle...

Nik and Vince took either-side of Drake. "Yes?" they asked simutaneously. But looked at the map as well.

Diana and Nyx were packing their clothing and essentials. Both laughing at each others' style choices.

Drake pointed at a main street marked with several skyscrapers. across the street to one of the largest was a small shop marked Jack's Bar. "see that? Jack's Bar. it's located almost in the middle of the city of Chicago. if by chance we happen to get split up on our way there, that's where to meet up. a Brimstone agent with our profiles memorised will be waiting there. as soon as any one of us arrives there, he'll meet up with us. i was told he goes b the name of Jack. as you can guess, he owns the place. a little meeting point for Brimstone Agents. Anyway, He'll tell you what to do next. now, while you guysere sleeping, i slipped into your car and programmed the GPS to show you the route we'll be taking" he explained simply. he then clicked a minimised window, which showed the face of a guy seemingly in his mid 30s. fairly muscular, with fairly long hair and a beard. he looked like he'd fit as a biker. he didn't look it, but he was one of Brimstone's top agents, having at one time been neck and neck with Drake where records were conscerned. Vince and Nik nodded. "We're familiar with Chicago," Vincent said. "And the route looks easy enough," Nik added. "Alright, looks like we've got everything," they said.

Nyx and Diana came down with their suitcases, each trying to pick out down feathers from their hair. "So are we gonna get this show on the road?" Diana asked. Thanatos looked up from the couch and snorted at the girls. "What kind of show is what I'm trying to figure out," he said.

Drake shut down the laptop, putting it in a small carbon fibre case along with a few of his less vital weapons, what little clhen packed into the Land Cruiser beforehand. "As soon as Mike and Spencer get back with the cars, we'll go"


at that moment, the black Land Cruiser and a silver Mercedes Benz ML 63 AMG, drove up in front of the house, latter SUV looking practically brand new. Mike and Spencer exited their vehicles and headed for the house...

Diana and Nyx whistled as the cars pulled in. "Sweet ride Mike!" Nyx called. Vincent and Nik rose their eyebrows as well. "Ok so are destination would be...?" Diana asked.

Velkor and Wisp looked out the door at the vehicles, already packed up. "Two words," hissed Velkor. "Kick. A**." He raced outside, Wisp beating him to the SUV and flying through the wall of the vehicle to curl up on the back seat...

Drake stood up and headed for the door. he'd made sure the building was locked up and returned to the state it was when they first arrived. once he locked up, he headed for the land cruiser. "OK. Here's the deal guys. the Land Cruiser has UV protection. anyone who can't handle Daylight is to ride in that. after they're in, anyone else who wants to join me is welcome to join in. whoever's left rides in the Benz. Nik and Vincent, you have the Porsche-damn i sound like some luxury car dealer here- Anyway. Desh and Korso will be riding in the Landcruiser with me. Spencer and Mike will be in the Mercedes" he explained as he walked towards the Land Cruiser, pulling out his M4 and putting it in the side panel of the door. Spencer headed towards the Mercedes with Mike...

Nik and Vincent nodded and strolled to their vehicle. Thanatos watched. "If everyone doesn't mind I think I'll ride with the twins," he said. Nyx and Diana looked at him with incredulous looks, but he only shrugged and went to join them. "Don't worry, you're cute when you do that," Nyx said to Drake kissing him on the cheek.

Drake smiled. "So long as you liked it, i guess it's enough for me" he said with a chuckle before climbing into the SUV. "now, let's go. everyone in the cars" he said before closing the door...

"Check!" Vincent called through the window. "I'm in," Nyx said taking shotgun. "We're ready," Diana said for her and Desh. "Let's get this party started!" Nyx said cranking up the radio.

once Drake was sure Nyx, Diana, Desh and Korso were in, he revved the engine and moved. "Ya *******! you were gonna leave me there, weren't ya?!" hooted Tony as he poked his head out of the area behind the back seats, currently standing on a large cooler with various drinks, including two or three bottles of blood for the Vampires riding with them. "No Tony, i wasn't going to leave you. unlike that dilapidated shack i left you at last time, this place is too heavily built for you to break out of. you'd sit there and vegitate until the next Brimstone Agent moved in. as much as i enjoy irritating you for my own amusement, i'm not that cruel. besides, i knew you were in the vehicle before i even got in" responded Drake. Tony ruffled his feathers. "YOU-......what? how'd ya know?" he hooted, cocking his head in confusion. "You serious? a loudmouth like you? it'd be impossible not to know you weren't in the house when i locked up. oh, and your feathery *** looks nothing like the leather upholstry of the car" responded Drake with a smirk as he looked at the Owl through the rear-view mirror, enjoying the sight of Tony ruffling his feathers again. "*******..." responded the Owl/Demon simply, Drake chuckling, as Disturbed's Indestructible began playing...

Nyx and Diana giggled at Tony as well. "Don't worry Tony, we still love you," Nyx said looking back at the owl. "Speak for yourself," Diana said. Nyx didn't reply only bobbed her head to the music.
