once Nightbane had had his fill of the meal, it's remains nothing more than several broken, mostly stripped bones, he stood, licking his lips, sweeping through his whiskers as he did so, before beginning to walk, not having any particular aim or plan...

After thinking for a moment, Redtail swallowed a final chunk of flesh and trotted after Nightbane, knowing the lion could provide some easy meat for the time being...

After Silver Tooth was dead, Razor layed down under a tree, and hissed to Jane *Tommorow we are moving away,we will need a safer territory*. Razor slept trought the night thinking about what he has done. Millions of bad thoughts ecoed trough his mind: Maybe the lion would come back and kill him? Maybe Silver Tooth is still alive? Maybe the tiger that was living in this area would wander right into his territory? When the morning sun arose Razor and his pack moved out of the clearing and went into the forest. After experiencing no dificulties in the forest they walked in to a huge area, that was all koyote teritory. The wind was blowing almost not shaking off the heat, but making it worse. Razor hissed *Maybe we can see if we can find food up on that hill*.

Titanis pulled his head from the carcass, blood splattered all over his face. Now full, the Thylacine headed off deeper into the scrubland...

When they reached the top of the hill Razor and his pack looked down. They saw a small cave where some jackals nested. Razor decided it was worth the try. He ordered * I shall handle these on my own all of you go try get that antilope down the hill* Razor closed in listening to the jacklas laughter and conversation. Suddenly he leaped up with his huge claws forward. He pinned one of the jackals heads making him sniff dust. Then he swated him out of the way with tremendous power making the jackal roll off the hill. Then the other two jackals charged at Razor. He turned arround and ran. Then Jane rushed in ramming the first jackal. The impact making the second one stumble as well. Jane bit the second jackal by the neck while Razor killed the first one. Both of them where dead. The rest of the pack had not been able to catch the antilope. Jane barked to Razor *Next time you try to do things on your own please let me come with you*. Razor and the pack found a small openning between a small patch of trees. During night Razor was still awake thinking about how the lion rejected his offer. He did not want to show his head out of the cave, thinking that Nightbane would rush out and grab his neck.

this sounds good so far, don't mind if i join, do you? :)

Name: Torn
Age: 4
Species: Lion
Length: 4'
Height: 2'5"
Weight: 70 lbs
Personality: Agile and usually quiet,he is more of a scavenger because he nor his brother, Scythe, can hunt and their pride was hunted down to just the two of them until the came inside the reserve, calm and caring, he tries to support him and his brother, though they go to sleep hungry some nights, and he is completely headstrong when threats come around
Description: He has roughly golden colored fur except for dark brown parts at his paws, and his growing mane, he also has amber eyes and his claws are strangely longer than other lions, trait shared by his brother. Soot has a scar around his ankle from a hunter trap, in which he lost his closest friend who saved him.

Name: Sycthe
Age: 2
Species: Lion
Length: 1'7"
Height: 8"
Weight: 20 lbs
Personality: Young, curious, and cautious, Scythe has learned much from the hunter experience and from his older brother that you must fight or run to survive and uses this knowledge to stay away from larger predators or to raid bird nests for small prey
Description: He s like a clone of his brother, Torn, but he hasn't started growing his mane, he has light tan paws instead of dark brown, and his eyes are icy blue. Scythe doesn't have scars like Torn but he has more sense when to run or not.

Dashing through the savanna grasslands, Scythe was running for his life, but never looking back to see if the jackal was still chasing him or to see if Torn had scared it off. Fear was running his mind, he couldn't even hear his feet thudding on the ground cause his heart was pounding so hard. He stared death, in the form of a hungry jackal with razor sharp teeth, in the face and he didn't flinch until the teeth were almost in his around his neck. And too late did he see what he was about to run into something, and run into it hard. At first he thought it was a tree, but when he looked up he saw a massive creature looking down on him, he completely forgot about the jackal and feared this creature so much, he thought he turned to stone right then and there, his body didn't move, inside nor out. It was then that he realized it was another lion like himself and the look coming from it made Scythe think he was dead. Then he came back to fear, he turned around and cried louder and harder than ever before, trying to get away from the fearsome lion.
Looking back makes you oblivious of what you're about to walk into...

The more you keep your head in the clouds, the higher you are when you finally fall...

Leaping from branch to branch, Darkfur moved through the tree tops quickly. He had grown bored lately and now that he thought back to the time he had annoyed the tiger, felt like doing it to another predator. The black Leopard thougt:"It will only last for awhile if the creature I annoy actually shows enough annoyance to keep me amused. If I do not get the ammusement I want, then I'll go search for another creature to provoke, although not enough to annoy to the point to want me dead."

Night pressed herself to the ground, her eyes fixed on her target - an adult gazelle, foolish enough to stray from the grasslands into an area it didn't know. The elephant Nightbane had brought into her cave had lasted for a little while, but now it was little more than a pile of bones too tough for her or Lusa to crack them open for the marrow. Now she found herself hunting to feed herself and a rapidly growing pup. Speaking of said pup...Night's gaze flicked from her prey momentarily to scan for Lusa's black pelt or the gleam of amber eyes. There. This was a first for both Night and Lusa - Lusa's first real hunt, and the first time in a while that the adult wolf had hunted in a team, however small. Granted, Lusa was a bit young to start hunting, but they'd spotted the unlucky gazelle while Night had been watching Lusa explore, and had invited the pup to try her luck at helping to catch it. Returning her hungry eyes to the gazelle, Night flattened herself as much as she could, careful not to rattle small stones or cause the thin, almost leafless bush she hid behind to rustle. Lusa was supposed to drive the herbivore towards Night, so the adult could surprise it and hopefully get a good grip on its throat. A flicker of black fur let Night know that the young wolf was about to make her move - she braced herself, ready to spring out as soon as the gazelle was close enough.

Nightbane walked through the long grass, hearing the distant rumbling roars in the distance; lion roars. it sounded like a Lion was trying to remind those in the area he was there....that meant that there was at least one other lion in the area aside from the one roaring, planning to take over....seemed like an interesting sight...perhaps he could get a pride out of this...if he played his cards right...

Lusa burst out of hiding, her shorter legs pumping so fast they were almost a blur of motion. Her black muzzle was wrinkled, upper lip pulled back in a snarl that rumbled from the back of her throat. The gazelle startled, most likely more out of being caught off guard than actual fright, and took off, its skinny limbs quickly outpacing the sprinting pup. But it was heading unknowingly towards a bigger threat - the hidden white wolf. Night's lip curled, baring her teeth as their prey came closer. Lusa was tiring already, tongue lolling out of her mouth as she panted and struggled to keep running. The gazelle was still running, now some distance away from her, keeping the pace easily, its stride self-assured. It thought it was going to escape. Night would make sure it didn't get the chance. She launched herself forward, jaws opening wide to snap shut on....the loose skin just below its jaw. She nearly snarled in frustration. This was a mediocre grip - if she didn't correct it, their meal would be lost. The surprise had caused it to rear up onto its hind legs, but it was going to start kicking at any second. Night quickly let go and lunged again, this time securing a better hold on its throat. Now she had to wrestle it to the ground and keep her grip. Then, all she'd have to do was wait.

Redtail mumbled something to himself, but reluctantly followed, albeit at a safe distance...

Rogue was still on his mud island, ripping away at the remains of the Cape Buffalo to keep any scavengers from getting to it...

Red Claw was out on her second hunt for the day, she wasn't hungry, but she didn't want to end up like that. She had spotted a zebra herd, and went for the weakest adult. Red Claw was charging with all her strength put into her legs so she could make the kill faster. She roared and scattered the rest of the herd into a river so she could make her kill. But, before she reached the zebra, she caught a glimpse of a male Barbary Lion, just like her.

She slowed to a complete stop as her eyes focused on the lion. Red Claw was wondering if the lion had a mate or not, so she could have probally found a mate for her, and a family too.

Nightbane's eyes suddenly shifted towards the source of a new roar, noting the zebra herd that had just stampeded towards a river in the distance. glancing to the source he spotted a lion. a female, if his sense of smell told him right. odd. it wasn't usual for females to hunt alone, much less when there were invaders in their territory. moving towards the source, he kept himself as low as possible while moving in a slow trot. with a bit of luck, maybe he could find out more about the intruders here...it'd equip him better to deal with them. as he neared, he let out a low growl, to get the lioness' attention, the rumbling tone alone a sign of power...this wasn't a lion to be trifled with...

a rumbling snarl came from the elder male as he paced in front of his pride. the male was heavily battlescarred, trophies from previous battles. his golden mane showed he had been poorly fed as of late, and wasn't at the peak of his strength, though the tips of the main's fur were tinted pure black, marking that at one point he was extremely well nourished, a fact that was likely one of the causes for his success at this age. but the times had changed, and life had caught up with him. he now stood before 3 intruding males. he could hear them in the distance, roaring and bellowing, making their presence known, disrupting the prey in the area and making the family nervous. his defeat would mean the deaths of his children....and he was too old and weak to try and take over another pride, let alone take back this one if he lost. things were looking bad...

Two of the males had just tackled a wildebeest to the ground on the other side of the territory, and the third was slowly walking their way. "It's been too long since we had such a good meal" snarled Kubwa, the bulkiest of the trio. "Yeah...but those territory markers smelled weak...not only in frequency but health too...so what's the lion's problem if the food's so plentiful?" growled Jino, the slimmest and fastest of the trio. "He's old, and weakening from it, that's what" growled the third, Shadow, a large, strangely black lion, black and gold streaks visible in his mane. he was the leader of the trio. he wasn't the bulkiest, but he was the oldest and the most physically capable overall. he was the middle ground between his two brothers. little did he know there was a fourth male in the territory....one that was not so unfamiliar...

Red Claw wasn't in the mood for a fight, but she just needed to talk to the male lion, so she crept forward, not wanting to get too close though. She moved cautiously, watching her surroundings, so she could feel safe when she reached the lion. "Maybe he is alone," Red Claw growled silently at herself. Her instinct told her she could trust him, but she was starting to have second thoughts. Still, Red Claw's curiosity got the best of her.

Nightbane's eyes narrowed on the lioness as she neared. once she was close enough, he stopped. "Are you part of the pride in this territory?" he growled lowly, wary. the fact occured to him that this could be an ambush by the male of the pride....using a lone female to get his attention, then go around and attack from behind...he remained wary...just in case...

"No, I have been living alone for serveral years after my brother was killed on our last hunt together," Red Claw growled to the male lion. She just wanted to live with him, since she has been on the run, without a territory or family for years now.

"Hm" growled Nightbane, considering the explanation. he was wary, but didn't let on he was unsure of the story, for now. "What do they call you?" he growled...

"We need to do something" snarled Fervius, the elder male that lead the pride. "What can we do? there are three of them. males. we can't risk getting injured. the young will need us-" responded one of the lionesses, being cut off. "If you don't risk it there won't BE any young to care for. they'll be killed by the newcomers!" responded Fervius furiously. "I need six of you to help me. the rest of you can stay and watch over the young while we deal with the intruders" he finished. 6 of the pride's more powerful females stepped forward. "We'll help.....but you know what happens if we lose you" growled the eldest of the six. it may have not been fair, but the male had hardly been fair to them during his time ruling the pride, so he deserved no sympathy. still...for the sake of the cubs they had to at least try and defend the pride. it wouldn't be fair if they lost their lives simply because their father wasn't the best of leaders. reluctantly, the sevon lions moved off towards the source of the intruders...starting off with the unknowing Nightbane...
