Vergil moved in after Renfield, listening carefully for any sign of something else here, aside from the weeping. he wondered what foolish woman would choose a place like this to cry about her luck....then again....there was no guarantee this was a woman. back in the corridor, another louder, more violent bang rang out, the door being seriously distorted from the Nemesis' assault...Vergil doubted it'd last for long...

Renfield looked around carefully, turning the corner, and freezing, staring straight ahead. Down the aisle a thin, frail-looking woman sat, slumped over, her stringy hair covering her face, crying softly. She paid no heed to Renfield or Vergil, or even the Nemesis' violent attempt at entering the corridor, but Renfield stood stock-still nonetheless...

It wasn't too difficult to see that whoever or whatever was ahead of them was trouble, and Renfield's apparent fear was more than enough to tell him it was likely dangerous. "We need to get around-" he started whispering, an unholy bang cutting him off as the door blocking Nemesis was blown completely off it's hinges, tumbling to the floor a few feet into the corridor, an infuriated roar being heard as the beast charged down the corridor, rapidly closing in on the two...

Renfield suddenly snapped back into reality. Waiting until the Nemesis had gotten close enough, he dove to the side, shoving Vergil with, letting the Nemesis sprint past the pair and towards the frail woman on the ground...

Nemesis swung a massive arm into the zombie ahead of him, swatting her sideways and into a stray table, the monster skidding to a hault and turning around, staring at the two humans, a low snarl coming from the beast...he knew the zombie he had hit wasn't the ordinary variety...but it was unimportant...he'd eliminate it if it interfered...

The seemingly frail woman leaped to her feet, looking no worse for wear, and shrieked angrily, her eyes glowing bright orange and her fingers, which looked like elongated knife blades, splayed outwards. Charging towards the Nemesis, the Witch leaped onto the monster's back, slashing through the flesh like a hot knife through butter...

the low angered snarl was all that was heard before Nemesis slammed himself back against a support pillar, using the force to dislodge the zombie before twisting around, clamping a massive hand onto the creature's head and almost instantly swinging himself to one side, using the momentum to hurl the creature right at the survivors...

Vergil dove out of the way, barely evading the hurtling creature as it went past and slammed into another support pillar. looking back at the monster, he saw it was now facing all three of them; the two survivors and the female zombie. a low infuriated snarl came from the beast as it began to move forward...

The furious Witch sprang back to her feet, charging once more at the Nemesis, and slamming into it head-on, stabbing her clawed fingers into the zombie's gut.

Renfield grabbed Vergil and tugged him along, leading him to the ext of the store, which fortunately wasn't between the them and the battling zombies...

A foot fell through the darkness, slamming into the darkness. The Slasher paused, sniffing, then continued on in his trek towards the old police station...

The Leaper shifted around a bit more, then bolted up. It's arm was regrown, after much waiting. It was now three fingered, with small dull spikes going up the back which can be used to climbing by hooking, but not much else. The three fingers are each about two times the length of an index finger, with an almost tentacle look.

The Leaper examined it's new arm, then uncoiled and bounced away into the darkness.

The Witch's movement had lasted an instant before Nemesis got a grip of it's neck, crushing it completely in his grip, lifting the smaller creature off it's feet and grabbing one of the legs, before viciously ripping it in half, an enraged roar coming from the beast, as he began to walk towards the exit...

hearing the roar of the massive beast back in the shop, he said, as quietly as he could to let Renfield know without attracting even more zombies, "I think it's after us again!"

Renfield continued pulling Vergil along with out talking, leading him into a clothing store across the way, towards the back of the store, trying to ignore the behemoth of a zombie pursuing them...

Nemesis walked out of the shop, a low snarl eminating from the beast's throat as it began to pursue the two. he had had enough of these games...

There was a low snort as the Slasher continued on his trek, occasionally stopping to examine the area for anything unusual. Or rather, more unusual than... Usual...

The Leaper quickly arrived at it's little den. It did a 'running' jump, grabbing the bottom of the windowsill with one of the spikes and the top with it's arm tentacles.

*Pop*

Victor pops his head out of the trashcan, and looks around. He sees the horde looking elsewhere, so decides to make a break for it. Running as fast as his legs could carry him, he sprints to the nearest building and dives for it, skidding to a halt. He gets up, and walks inside the building. It appears that it was an apartment store, since clothes were lying all over the floor. Tired, victor settles down by a counter and lights another cigarette.

"Fun times were had by all, but personally, this place seems to have become the local zombie hangout." Charles said to Alec sarcastically, leaning against a wall, breathing deeply. He still held the large firearm in one hand, though, thinking the danger had passed, he held it loosely, his hand numb from the tense moments they had experienced...

More scream's echoed through the mall. Kieran punched the vent away and crawled out into the small bathroom, stifling a cough and wiping his eyes. He stood up straight, taking a deep breath and stretching his back... He never wanted to see the inside of a vent again. He pushed open the door cautiously, glancing out and checking for danger. the light beam from his torch cast around the room, revealing it to be... McDonalds, of all places. It was desserted. The commotion in the other side of the building had lured them all away. He stepped out into the restaurant and made his way out back into the lobby. He glanced around, noting the different shops and features he could see around, then took out his copy of the building plan, which he'd ripped off the sign earlier. It only took him a few seconds to work out where he was. The department store he was looking for was just here! He looked around again, unable to see it, until he realised it was one of the un-named shops, the sign having been torn off. He grinned, thanking his luck, and set off at a jog towards it. He needed that tooth brush. Big time.

"Hey holmes, Know of anywhere else we might be able to barricade ourselves?" asked Jose as he looked up at Charles and Alec...

Elsewhere, a crunching sound could be heard as the reaper fed on a zombie it had pinned down. it had decided the fight with the humans wasn't worth the reward, and had decided it'd satisfy it's need for sustinence through consuming the occasional member of the undead hordes instead...

With one last loud footfall, the Slasher stopped about 10 yards away from the police station. He began to sniff loudly, occasionally kicking up dust.

Renfield dragged Vergil to the back of the store, saying, "There is a loading dock back there that leads out of here! Go now if you want to live!"

Vergil rushed off, not wasting time asking questions, rushing towards the loading dock, though being very careful not to overlook things in his path, knowing there was no guarantee that his path was clear. meanwhile, Nemesis charged into the shop, a low rumbling snarl coming from the beast...
