"No..." Alec said, breathing hard. He put his book bag down and unzipped it. He moved his canned foods about and other miscellaneous objects that he thought could be useful until he got his scrap book. He opened it and flipped to a page- his plans that he drew up while in the school..."

Renfield slunk around to the far wall of the store, hoping to move around the Nemesis without being spotted. And, though he never had a chance to tell him, Renfield hoped Vergil would find the man he hoped he would: another human who had passed by Renfield's little "home..."

Vergil reached the loading dock, where a couple of trucks were parked, abandoned, the large storage compartments at the back being completely open, the doors opened and flat against the side of the trucks. he turned off to one side of the loading dock and turning after passing both trucks, hiding behind the second one and slipping off to the end of it, using the trucks to hide him as he reached the end and neared the corner to get him to the gates of the loading area...

Nemesis rushed past Renfield, hardly noticing the human hiding in the various racks of clothing, right towards the loading dock...

"Well that's just great...you guys were honestly trusting this station to last forever? No one came up with a back up plan?!" Charles questioned angrily, almost dropping the handgun, but caught it at the last moment...

"Hey holmes, before you go yellin' at us did YOU think of a backup plan?" retorted Jose hotly...

The Slasher snarled. It smelled something. Meat. Fresh meat at that. It took a few steps forward, then sped up to a full-on sprint towards the police station.

OOC: Obviously they are. Reading posts would be helpful, if you intend to react to them.

"Hey, I just followed Alec here. He had some grand plan for the station." Charles responded, annoyed with the entire situation.

"I did, plans change when you take up another into your group" Alec said, not looking up from his book bag. He only made a gesture for Charles to approach him..

Charles, confused, stepped forward, looking at the scrap book with relative interest...

Jose walked forward, wondering what it was Alec had planned...

Alec got up and showed the book to Charles, facing the wall. On the two pages of the book, there was a map of NewYork city, tattered and only showed Manhattan, Queens and a bit of Brooklyn. On it was a dotted trail of red lines- his original escape route. He whispered "This plan here goes through a very dangerous route, but its short. Ive been planning it since I was in the school. I was able to scout out the route up until here. From here on, its a big unknown. I do know however, a fire station some distance from here could be our next hold up. Thing is, alone, making the trip would be hard as hell. With you, I have someone to watch my a*s while not sacrificing speed. With Jose though...with that bag of tricks he has there...I dont think he'd fare so well on this plan..and time is against me to make ANOTHER...so..." Alec trailed off, hoping Charles would fill in the blank...

Charles nodded after a second of thought, glancing toward Jose as he approached, assuming he didn't hear Alec's whispered plans. Charles looked back at Alec, a serious expression on his face, silently expressing his uneasiness about the situation...

Alec closed the book and put the tattered covered tome back in his bag and zipped it up. He sighed. It was surreal to have to make such a descision. One that challenged his morals and ethics...

"Hey guys, what's with the sudden silence, eh?" he said, though he began considering their situation himself. two of them were wounded, though not seriously. they were barricaded in a police station that seemed to be nearly constantly being raided by one undead creature or another. calling it a depressing situation would be an understatement. they'd need to leave soon...

"Uhh...well...Alec was just trying to figure out what to do. Seems we're stuck here...for now at least." Charles said rather convincingly, noticing how Alec acted poorly in such a tense situation. It would be easier if they left without Jose even knowing...

"...So what was the paper and book part about?" asked Jose, curious...

Alec coughed "Yea..." To make up for his attitude, he lied "Today's the day I lost my pet a couple of months ago, he was a great dog, doberman, really hyper..a noctournal got him when it busted into the school I used to stay in, the bas*ard.." To answer Jose's question, he said "Those are some momentos I have of him...written accounts of life with that dog..the only company I had for a while..."

"Depressing, we can all agree on that. But I tried to tell Alec to get over it in private...we didn't need to broadcast his instability around, now did we?" Charles said, laughing somewhat nervously...

Alec simply nodded, eyes staring at the floor...
