It will also serve as a way for people to fight each other in a hypothetical situation with characters and what not, if they prefer to go up against a fellow member rather then the staff.

I blew up the fourth wall on a RP server in gmod

The ammount of players with sticks up their asses in that server was...disturbing, to say the least...

Anyway, what was going on is that some girl was having a fit about how I wasnt taking the RP seriously (and, common, I play DarkRP with TT every now and again, and Im sure Doc and KP would agree- you CANT take Gmod RP seriously. You just cant. I either piss off the cops and have an epic 80's movie esque chase about the map, or spam drugs and laugh at the caps spam that appears in the chat box) and that the admins would kick me from the game. Well, since all I was doing was making snide comments about the server in OOC chat (Like, as to why in every TV on the map, its a picture of GM_Construct), I said "Go buy yourself a sense of humor, kthnx" And then she said "Play the game right or GTFO"so I go "Keyword being play, as in, to have fun and not rage at stupid sh*t", which then, in her mind means that I can comprehend gmod, and she said so. So I go "...What? Theres a guy right next to me with the tool gun out for christ sake, trying to BUILD things for the server! You know you can do that in gmod right? Theres like, 999999999999 different gamemodes and you can do anything inside them, right?"

Her reaction in a nut shell "GONOS/NGSPpNSOG YOU LIE RP'ING IS THE ONLY TRUE FORM OF GMOD"

the irony of the situation was so painful, I disconnected

The only time's I've played on RP servers I've always locked myself away in a high paying job/room and then built a **** load of remote control drones with RT cameras attached... reminds me of SH rpg

never played a Gmod RP before....for one simple reason

same reason i haven't even bothered ATTEMPTING to make a true 3d, programmed game out of any of our RPGs [lack of funding for such an endeavour aside]: lack of freedom. in our RPGs, the only limitation is what the reality of said RPG dictates. where else but in our RPGs will you find a group of evil drones launching a condensed sun into another one to create a supernova? or a frog use a tennis racket like a light saber

? i dare ANYONE in the entire world for the next two decades to create a game that will give you that kind of absolute freedom. and i'll tell you this. without a Computer programming miracle, it will not only NOT happen in two decades, but perhaps not even for half a century!....thus...is the beauty of our site

I don't usually play RP servers because most of them are either too limited (As in, you have to say "I raise my gun and point it at your head". Its good for text RPs, not a f*cking game) or too loosely enforced (IE: People prop spamming to trap and kill others).

Those that are a happy medium are actually really fun though. Money printers ftw.
