Thundertooth now realized Rockscale's new strategy of switching between fighting on land and in the water. Given his already drowsy state, tiring further would leave him more vunerable to attack. Hesitating for a momment, he finally decided to accept defeat and swam downward, heading in the direction of an underwater cave that would lead to a sheltered area where he could rest, then plan on a different strategy to defeat the plesioth. Until then, it simply wasn't worth the risk of being put to sleep and then killed while he had no way of defending himself...

Sensitive eyes picking up the dark silouette of the retreating Lagi, Rockscale reared up, letting out a victorious screech. The young monster made his way back to the ocean, slowly wading into the shallows before leaping all the way into the deep and swimming off...

That was a very good fight, CS. You outwitted me by planning to have Rockscale keep going back and forth between water and land, which was something I hadn't expected.

Ya, it was a rather good fight, if not extremely short. There was less correcting going on, although the attacks were mainly definite hits. My advice for you, IK, is to, specifically for this Thundertooth character, avoid using the electricity shield as much, mainly for balance reasons, so its not unfair for your opponent.

Location: Desert

Saphire stares down his foe, his blue scales glistening in the desert sun. Saphire growls at the Rathian, allowing her to attack first.

Leaftooth snarled angrily at the Azure Rathalos, anger in her eyes. She had been getting ready to leave to hunt for food to feed her 3 young located in the cave several meters behind her, but she had seen the intruder land within her territory and her concern that this Los might kill them caused her to forget the hunt for now. Opening her jaws, the Rathian let launched a fireball at Saphire's head...

The Fireball slams into Saphire, sending him flying into a rage. The mighty azure Rathalos counters by charging towards her, his maw agape to bite her.........

Without a sound, Leaftooth leapt into the air, flapping her wings to maintain her current position as the Azure Los charged under her. Opening her maw, she launched another fireball at Saphire, deciding to suprise him by engaging him in combat in the air rather than the ground as she usually did against enemies...

Saphire's tail is skimmed by the fireball, catching the blue wyvern's attention. Looking up, Saphire takes to the air, speeding towards Leaftooth in an attempt to slash her with his venomous claws..........

Waiting until Saphire was getting close, Leaftooth launched a fireball at his chest, intending to see if the male wyvern would break off his attack to avoid the fireball or if he would decide to proceed with his attempt regardless of her projectile...

Saphire gracefully dodges the fireball, the flaming projectile missing him. Snarling, the Azure Rathalos fires 3 fireballs in Leaftooth's direction, hoping one hits..........

Leaftooth let herself drop down to avoid the fireballs, but she wasn't quick enough to avoid the first one, which slammed into her back and left visible burn marks on the scales and spikes. Snarling, the rathian launched another fireball, which collided with Saphire's right leg...

Saphire grunts from the blow, the fireball leaving a visable burn on his shiny blue scales. Hissing angrily, Saphire dives at Leaftooth, slashing at her with his claws.

Having been watching Saphire's movement carefully, Leaftooth dropped down further, although one of the claws did strike her at the top of her head crown. Hissing, she flew up higher, then turned around and suddenly flew forward, clawmping her jaws down onto the middle of the Azure Los's tail, her current position making it nearly impossible for her to be attacked...

Saphire screeches in pain, his head and tail flailing about wildly in an attempt to give him a clear shot at the Rathian. Being unable to do to her current position, he instead dives toward the ground, attempting to knock her uncontience, knowing he will not suffer the same side effects..........

Quickly opening her jaws when she saw Saphire diving downward, Leaftooth quickly flapped her wings and maintained her current position, allowing the Rathalos to continue diving toward the ground while she waited for him to pull out of his dive and see what his next move would be if he decided to attack right away...

Saphire manages to recover just before he plows headfirst into the ground. Looking up at the Rathian, he flies towards her again, firing a ball of flame at her belly.....
