"So let me get this straight," Ira said, running her fingers through her bangs. Yoruichi hadn't been back a minute before she'd hunted the younger teen down and launched into the story of what had just happened. "You and your friends ran off to talk to the alien and the speedy mutant we saw on the news. You found them, chitchatted your way into keeping the fact that an alien is practically using my backyard as a landing station a secret, and said alien twice destroyed something that was heading your way. And now said speedy mutant, alien and your sandy friend are off to find out who wanted to find you so badly, tear them up good, and then come back and give you the juicy, bloody details. Does that sound about right?" Her golden eyes were more than slightly surprised and disbelieving. When Yoruichi nodded, Ira shook her head. "I can't believe it," the younger demon muttered. "Did you accidentally fry your brain?" "No," Yoruichi said, resting a hand on Ira's shoulder. "Listen, the idea is not to stick out in society, right? If we tell someone we know where the craft from the news is, it'll be everywhere before sundown and we'll end up on half a dozen TV shows." The redhead was silent, knowing what Yoruichi said made sense. "If you stay quiet, we stay unimportant," she muttered. "Okay. Point made." Yoruichi took her hand back, saying, "Let's find something to occupy ourselves with until Gaara gets back, alright?" Ira nodded, turning towards the TV and gesturing towards a rack of movies. "Pick one if you like. Or head to the library. Or just watch TV. Or...do anything else that doesn't involve destroying anything." "How about we try working with our fire?" Yoruichi suggested. "When I'm injured?" Ira's voice was surprised and a little mocking. "Not sparring. Just...seeing what we can do." Yoruichi shrugged. Ira found the corners of her mouth pulling up into a smile. "Alright then. Let's give it a shot."
