As the creature dove, the symbiote lashed out with an arm, the axe blade sinking into the dragon's natural armor, the force of the blow knocking the creature slightly off course, its wing lowering to the point of contacting the ground, causing the dragon itself to tumble a few feet before stopping. Havoc yanked back on the embedded axe, dragging the larger creature across the ground, hurling a massive spike at it as it neared. The spike pierced the dragon's armored chest, causing it to shriek in pain, the symbiote trying to shield itself from the sound with its free hand. Taking advantage of its stunned state once again, the dragon pulled the axe free, yanking the limb toward it, flinging the symbiote forward, a clawed hand smashing into the alien's head as it rocketed forward, sending it soaring back once more, the ancient creature, still holding the limb, hacking the axe blade off with a single swipe, Havoc crashing to the ground a few yards away, the mangled limb retracting wildly...

"Its settled" Galaak said solemnly. "Ill...get back to the ship"
"What're you talking about?" SpeedFreak asked absent mindedly. He was thinking of what to do. "Im going to use my ship's weapons-"
"Uh...how about...no?" SpeedFreak snapped suddenly. "The holes in the tree tops were a good enough demonstration!"
"Do you have any alternative?" Galaak replied matter of factly.
"Ive got a few ideas!" SpeedFreak retorted.
"You act on them. Im calling my ship in-"
"What about unintended damages?" The hero asked.
"Ill just have to be careful as to how I shoot" the alien snarled. He put his bolt gun down and got to the device on his wrist. It projected a holographic sphere, just like the one back in the craft's controls. Galaak put his hand inside, moving his fingers about in intricate patterns. Before long, the ship had appeared, its cloak falling. The entrance spiraled open and the bright light shone down from within, the Ascatian taken up it.
"Hey Gal, do me a favor" SpeedFreak said finally. "What is it?" Galaak replied. "Dont do anything rash. Not yet anyway" The teen hero said as he walked to the break in the roof. He crouched down and pried some loose bricks from the damaged building. Lining up the dragon below, the hero's arms became blurs as he launched the bricks at Ridley, one slamming into the back of his head, the other smashing into his back...

Gaara nodded. "Better. you need the heat to be even all over it or else it'll shatter as soon as it takes a bit of temperature change. one winter and all you'll have left is an overly colourful pile of glass" he said...

The Hornet stepped through a pair of automatic doors, the scientists in the room beyond looking up at his entrance. He held up a roll of paper in one hand, saying "Anyone feel like doing some shopping?"

There was much more on the list than he needed to repair himself with, but he had a project in mind...

One of the scientists turned away from the many work stations in the bright white room. He walked over to the hornet, his partially undone lab coat threatening to fall off. He was busy working with his collegues on a project that was obviously taxing him, but with a good natured smile he took the list and said "Yes, yes...Ill send this down to inventory and have them ship the parts as soon as possible... good thing about having various branches in machines and electronics"

"That would suck," Ira deadpanned, her gaze following her phoenix as it gave a high twitter and its feathers flared a little more. The circles it was making around the sand phoenix became tighter, the bird angling its body for more controlled turns.

the sand phoenix spread it's wings widely, an impressive amount of detail visible in the sand creature, each feather notable, the base morphed to resemble fire, as the edges of the wings were filled with bluish grains of sand and crystal to give it a final blue tint, the phoenix's beak opened, wings spread and raised, making it look like the known Birth of the Phoenix pictures that many associated with the creature, the sand phoenix finally ceasing it's movement to allow complete treatment by the fiery bird swirling around it...

The hornet nodded and then asked "Could you give me a tour of the base's laboratories and workshops?"
He got right to the point, he still didn't really trust this place and had no intention of letting his guard down.

The flame phoenix let out a trill as if in approval and sped up a bit, its long trailing tail feathers fanning out. "You're an artist," Ira commented, impressed by the detail in Gaara's sand phoenix.

"Right then" The scientist replied. He stepped out of the Horent's way and made a gesture towards the many tables in the room. Other doctors worked hard, meticulously handling tools and small machinery. There was a low lying murmur as they all spoke to their collegues. "This is one of the labs in Nexus. We like to call them 'Think tanks' because while we're experimenting here, we're always thinking about how to better our capabillities. From here, advancements move down to the build hangers. I believe you've seen one when you came here?" He asked

The hornet dipped his head, nodding and replied "How many others do you have? Out of curiosity..."

"Over 20 spread out throughout the facillity. When this facillity was first started maany years ago, it was small. Inevitably, we needed to advance, and we needed many minds working on the prospects of the future" The scientist said as he walked to the white and silver double doors. "We've made great strides if I do say so myself" He added as the doors split open...

Gaara smiled. "I doubt it takes anymore effort for me to do that than it does for you to do the same with fire....up to you to judge how difficult it is" said the redhead...

Ira's lips quirked in a half-smile. "Not too difficult, then." She felt Yoruichi shift and stopped leaning against the older teen, not wanting to push it.

The dragon grunted from the blows, its natural armor keeping the damage minimal. A stream of fire spewed from the beast's mouth, reducing the incoming projectiles to ash, the flames reaching some distance into the air, to the point where the hero could feel the heat. The creature stopped its assault suddenly, shrieking in pain as the axe blade it still held dissolved into corrosive acid...

Two more bricks flew through the air, slamming into the dragon's mouth. SpeedFreak crouched down, taking another set of bricks from the damaged roof. "Can you say, hallitosis!?" The boy called out. "It'd be funny if it just replayed my voice" He thought as he prepared himself to move when needed...

as the sand finally turned to glass, Gaara said "Drain the heat from it, quick". at this point, the heat actually had turned the sand phoenix into a lookalike of a true one, the glass form glowing in shades of white, yellow and red...

The circling phoenix cooled to blue fire, then the normal golden-orange as it circled a few more times, and then soared away to fly in a lazy pattern over Ira's head, trilling a soft song.

"Tactical arms and vehicles" Was the man's answer as he walked down the semi vacant hallway to an elevator. He pressed the button on a silver panel and waited for one of the two elevator doors to slide open. "Tell me, what are your thoughts about the Nexus LKT, er...van?"
