EDIT: this particular fight got rated because.... Kp told me too? I'm glad he did though.
Good fight guys, one sided though. while through attacks and general combat, you were even, EE vastly out manoeuvred you Gira, and had the tactical advantage. Some characters utilize their environment, the Phoenix changed the Environment to suit itself. The Dark mist was a very good idea, I enjoyed your style EE. However, I felt the Phoenix's ability to warp was un-necessary and went a bit too far. With the cover of the mist and some good speed, the Phoenix should have been able to maintain the same effect.
Gira, your lose was pretty inevitable from the start. EE's style of fighting was based on control, manipulating the battlefield as well as you in order to give him the advantage. Control is one of the best ways to win a fight, because if you can control the enemies options, you can plan counters easily.
seeing as your first move was to let the Phoenix attack first, you played right into the hands of this tactic. Offence is crucial to control. This is why they say offence is the best defence. While defending, you are always reacting, the enemy is dictating your actions. Waiting for the enemy to attack first generally only works if you have anticipated all possible attacks. While you achieved this to some extent with anticipating the ranged darkfire attack, it put you at more of a disadvantage than an advantage in the long run. You gave a way a valuable advantage.
This was an interesting fight over all. Many fights result in over aggression, such as combo spamming, which is eventually it's downfall, in this fight however, there was very little direct conflict, it was much more tactical.
A breath of fresh air.
I do have a few particular things I want to mention though, post wise;
The Phoenix was visible in the PQ's eyes for a brief moment; the bird seemed to be aiming for the head of the Queen, until, seconds before impact, it disappeared, warping, and appearing below the PQ once more, smashing it in the chest, and sending it flying backwards into a wall...
I didn't like this attack. it lasted too long. PQ should have been given an opportunity to move during that. Your move would have worked against a slower character, but against PQ, it leaves too long a gap which assumes the PQ is sitting on her *ss.
The Phoenix, using its telekinesis once more, caused the piece of ground the PQ was standing on to crack off, and lift up, carrying the PQ. It tilted and slammed backwards into the wall, sandwiching the PQ in between...
EE again, I thought this was over the top. Being able to pick up the PQ using Telekinesis is going too far. God modded IMO.
The Parasite Queen, seeing her chance to strike the bird, fired off another sub-sonic blast, this one blasted the oncoming flames away, then spiraled upward, striking the Phoenix in the back, forcing the bird to crash land on the ground, where the PQ could see it
Gira this time. This was unfair. You can't just say "oh it hit the ground." Thats assuming The Phoenix lost all control, underestimating it's capabilities. From what I saw of the fight, the Phoenix would have been well capable of recovering from the strike in mid air. Remember that it's largely up to the defender to decide the extent of the damage.
EE, I you were singled out twice simply because of the complexity of your strategy, it was much more open to abuse, and I say that with all credit to you.
2nd Edit: While I'm at it, wtf is with acid+fire causing explosions?
