despite the eerie sights of the group, the Wyvern never showed. it seemed it had disengaged them...

"Ah ****" The simple thought must have ehcoed through the minds of every pilot in the area. They had no choice but to accelerate...move beyond the speed of sound and see if those auras would disappear. They had no effective way of fighting these types of dragon and they had to move fast and think if they wanted to make it out alive...

The chooper continued to fly through the air rapidly...moving as fast it could as they attempted to get to the carrier as soon as possible

"What the hell is going on..." Frank commented to himself, leaning back on the chair, noticing the scrambled nature of the ship he and his team were now resting within. Some of the others took notice, too, and began talking amongst themselves, wondering if the ship was at risk of an attack, even in such numbers...

Out in the pacific ocean, a huge, reptillian head emerged from the water, the liquid dripping off the blue and white scales that gave the creature it's color. Azure spine began taking air into his lungs, the 3 hours in which he could hold his breath had been coming to an end and he felt the feeling in which his lungs needed oxygen. Once he had finished taking in fresh air, the amphibious dragon's head submerged beneath the water again, his tail moving from side to side like a crocodile's to push him through the water as he now began to hunt for any marine creature that looked like it would be worth his attention...

As the American fighters moved away, the cloud above Tus'Shin seemed to break apart into a hand of gnarled smoky fingers. The wispy tendrils stretching out, one for each jet, slowly gaining speed.

Meanwhile, back at the lab, Jacob clambered out into the compound around the base. Rubble was everywhere, ash and fire still coating the ground from when Tsu'Shin blasted his way out. He looked up, watching the nightmarish cloud reaching out after the fleeing jets, tiny dots in the sky from this distance... He pulled himself over the edge of the fissure torn into the pavement but stayed low. Numerous wispy dragons were zooming above the compound, occasionally dive bombing the top of the control tower. He looked up, squinting. Trying to make out what they were attacking. The control room looked completely destroyed, where Davis had been talking to them from... But on the roof, something was moving around. Some sort of strange orb with a dish on one side, rotating and following the various dragons, as if attempting to track them all. Then it clicked into his head. They were distracting the defence system, preventing it from getting a shot off. Thats what had the goblin dragons paniced... The defence system was the only thing keeping Tsu'shin at bay normally. Even though they had reactivated it, the damned mirror images were rendering it completely useless...

He turned on his radio and said into it desperately, not caring about the Shadow Dragon's intereference "Someone! Anybody who can hear this, we need to get rid of the dragons above the compound. The defence system is our only hope of shooting this ******* down! It can't target him with the duplicates swamping its sensor!"

Having been resting on his perch for a few hours, Shaded Flame surveyed his surroundings for a human settlement close to the Rockie Mountains to attack. With tremendous force he leaped into the sky above the clouds and began soaring, looking for his next target.

OOC: Yo Doc, I hope you still dont mind in this thing keeps going

"Roger that, Jets inbound" A pilot responded back to Jacob. The response came delayed but after arguments through the air, it seemed the LT Commander managed to settle things on. Several jets began to stray off from the battle field or at least try to occupy the duplicates as a trio of jets swarmed in towards the compound.

"Tito, Echo targets locked on...Fire" John swiftly said as his jet accelerated towards the compound as his advanced air dominance fighter unleashed several missiles from both wings as they swarmed in towards the jets at the compound as well the two side escorts fired their own missiles as they sped above the compound, hoping their combined attack would do something..

the chopper's radio began to crackle out of focus, becoming static, steadily getting louder and louder as the beast's presence became evermore powerful. suddenly, a large gash tore through one of the chopper's doors, almost beheading Max in the process, ripping into the back of the passenger compartment as a rattling roar echoed through their minds, a crippling wave of pain tearing through the pilot's mind as the sky ahead seemed to darken, suddenly becoming pitch black, as the craft's electronics went wild. "HOLY ****!" screamed Max as he saw the slash in the door seem to bend, the bent metal seeming to morph, a face forming in it, the other two shuffling towards the other side of the chopper in an attempt to get away from the creature...

Meanwhile, the jet squadron moving to to chopper's position were suddenly hit by a wave of static, radar systems going wild, radios scrambled to the point they could only hear a warbling static, and visuals being lost fast, a thick black haze engulfing them, two massive burning red orbs appearing ahead of them, the creature's eyes staring at them with murderous intent, the head seemingly several hundred feet across...

The duplicates attacking the controll tower were torn apart, blasted into flaming bits and destroyed. Jacob leapt to the ground, shielding his face, the thumping sound of the missiles detonating above shaking him to the very core, along with the whistling howl of the jets. He risked a glance, only to find the cloud above Tsu'shin to be twice the size it had been just moments before. Around it, space itself seemed to be compressing, squashing everything in towards the cloud, pulling it closer. It's image distorted in the air, as even light was pulled towards the horrible mass. It was focused on the targeted jets, Tsu'Shin above, drawing his clawed gnarled fingers back towards the cloud, the jets being pulled towards it. While they still travelled beyond the speed of sound, the space behind them bent relentlessly, dragging them towards the cloud.

It formed some horrible controlled singularity and was only growing in size. The dragon itself was impossible target. It was hardly physical, Radar waves just went right through it. It was a creature which epitomised mind over matter, sacrificing it's body in pursuit of mental power.

Suddenly, the duplicates over the sensor reformed, each joining together into a single entity, forming a corporal black dragon, oozing purple ichor pouring from various scars across it's body. The zombie slave dragon released a bellowing roar, talons extending and bursting into flame. It accelerated forward, wings beating and begun throwing fire balls towards the jets, bits of it's flesh falling away towards the ground.

"Move pilots move!" John urged his pilots as the Jets continued to accelerate as they only had to deal with one target however they couldnt gain a lock on this one at all and its odd abilities were increasingly deadly against them as they had no choice but to create further space between them and the dragon. The pilots urged their fighters as they pulled away, twisting and turning and trying all sorts of maneuvers. Many of the pilots were prepared to leave the battle entirely but if they did, they would have left Jacob and his men all to their own so their only choice was to try and hold on and hope that whatever the ground forces were working on, it would somehow be able to defeat the odd creature that was now forcing the elite pilots to move.

John banked left and switched the fire capabilities in his fighter as suddenly the duel rail guns upon his fighter appeared out of their secret compartments. They couldnt use their missiles due to the missiles in ability to track the dragons however they still had weapons they could fire off manually and the weaponry aboard the futuristic super fighter in John's lead aircraft was being prepared to used in action but still John's hopes were still mostly on the ground forces. Even he wasnt sure if things would change in their favor should he manage to get his shots off.

Elsewhere

The chooper shook violently to whatever was attacking them but the pilot struggled to regain stablity as he tried to hurry the piece of machinery back to allied territory. "damn!" The pilot could only shut, communications at the moment were fired and calling in for help was just about out of the question.

As for the jets they could only watch wide eyed and tried to communicate with each other but with that failing, the pilots had no choice but to spread out. The sight of the creatures eyes nearly sent them into panic as two of the jets nearly slammed into each other out of order. They accelerated and began to scramble, each heading off in different directions with the hope they could regain their visuals and radio contact as well as get off the dangerous situation they were now flying in..

The gargantuan zombie beat its wings, hovering above the sensor array on the control tower, following John's fighter as it banked around. The beast flung more fire balls, the projectiles ineffective against such quick enemies. It began to pursue the jet, slowly... Jacob followed it's progress from below. This dragon wasn't another spectre, it was real alright, or mostly real anyway. Desperate, he actually started firing at it with his rifle, the bullets sinking into it's flesh more or less harmlessly, the beast not feeling any pain.

Above, Tsu'Shin was oblivious to the commotion below in the compound, focused one thing only....

The singularity suddenly pulsed, the cloud beating like a heart. One of the jets was suddenly pulled back into the storm like mass, disintegrating in an instant without so much as a whimper, gone. The cloud pulsed slower and seemed to grow, another of the tendrils, speeding up after another jet, the other tendrils moving as well...

"Jesus Christ what the **** is this thing!?" John looked back as he accelerated forward, slowing down meant suicide and he had no intentions in dying. John worked fast as turned to the mini computer that was within the cockpit of the jet. He armed two missiles, one on each wing. Had this been another fighter behind him or a dragon that radiated a positive radar lock, John's advanced missiles would have been capable of a lock and actually be able to target despite them being right behind them. This was due to the QAAM feature aka the Quick Maneuver Air to Air Missile, missiles that were designed to be not only powerful but extremely accurate and was technically supposed to remain on a targets 6's until the missile either exploded or the target evaded it long enough. John took note as several jets were facing serious trouble from the odd foe they were facing. Having no chance at the moment and hoping it would work...John dropped the two missiles but they stayed afloat in the air, having not been locked on. But the creature behind the Lt Commander closed in, flying into the stationary missiles...

out of the darkness, one of the jets was suddenly hit violently on one of the wings, a distinct 3 claw slash going along the wing, the Wyvern having landed on it and hooked it's claws in, dragging along it as it used gravity when the jet was knocked sideways, the wing mangled, the Wyvern kicking off the wing with a loud rattling roar that seemed to dig into the pilots' minds, the static of their communications going wild, ear piercing electronic screeches tearing into their headsets, as the attacked jet was launched towards another, spiralling out of control from the force of the blow. amidst the static, the occasional word could be made out, though at the moment the words were too blurred by the static to be identified completely...

The missiles slammed into the zombie, blowing apart it's shoulder and chest. The vicious blasts ripped through it, scattering decaying flesh into the compound, one of it's limbs coming use and splattering heavily through the roof of one of the smaller buildings. The dragon let out an angered roar and managed to glide backwards, to land back onto the control tower, barely able to hold on, using it's formidable size and bulk to block the base's sensor.

The zombie dragon clutched onto the building desperately. It's only purpose for existing was to distract the base's weapons from Tsu'shin, who was too preoccupied with the main enemy force. Just a little more time, just a while longer, and Tsu'shin would rip these humans apart in an instant, and maybe, it would finally set the zombie's tortured soul free.

Jacob watched the dragon, but was interupted with the howling of jet engines above, as another jet was ripped into the singularity and consumed, another jet already being pulled towards it. He radioed desperately "Someone knock that b***ard off the tower or were all done for!"

"All units keep moving and hold on just for a little longer!" John urged as he noticed his six was free. The pilot accelerated forward before pulling hard on the stick and preformed a hard left turn. The advanced thrust vectoring of the fire allowed the advanced super fighter to turn quickly and soon the american pilot found itself heading back towards the control tower with the zombie like creature right in front of him. "EML activated, target spotted...Fire!" John announced as the duel mini rail guns onboard the jet fired. The projectiles found themselves accelerating out and flying right into the creature that lay on the control tower. The projectiles were far superior then regular bullets as they slammed heavily into the creature main body with heavy force and explosive impact. The easy to aim weapon employed long-range ultra high velocity munitions and one clear shot was enough to down an enemy fighter or do heavy damage to dragons whose large size made them easy to hit.

The pilots under Johns command all the more kept flying and dodging at whatever they can. All they had to do was to distract whatever was attacking here and hopefully the ground forces would led the support needed that would down the creature for good.

Elsewhere

"By god...what the hell is coming in over there" The young man swallowed hard as he listened to the voices of the pilots, struggling to deal with whatever had attacked them. The man looked towards his senior officer who had no response...they wanted to risk help but at the moment, their safety was more important, they had no idea what they were dealing. The small fleet of american ships held its ground off the coast of Ireland as the forces inland preformed their duty.

The chopper within the struggle continued forward towards the fleet. The pilot hesistated at first but the creature seemed preoccupied with the jets at the moment and he had to take ever single advantage he could. He knew where to go...where allied ground was, it was just a matter of getting there. The jets themselves who were being targeted continued to fly, desperately trying to fly out of the storm they unwillingly flew into.

"I....WILL....KILL.....YOU" tore through the static, barely identifiable, formed through the warbling pitches of the static itself, as another jet was knocked off course, forced into a nose dive, the Wyvern materialising on top of the craft, had looking down into the cockpit, a demonic grin on the ferocious creature's face, as one clawed paw swiped into the top, tearing it off, the Wyvern ripping the pilot out and thrashing him apart, before kicking off the jet as it hurtled to the ground, flying off into the shadows as a massive explosion engulfed the fallen jet on impact with a lighthouse, the building shaking from the blow, beginning to lean to one side, flames beginning to engulf the structure, the mangled, barely recognisable skeleton of the fighter half imbedded in the structure, the other half sticking out, jets destroyed, a massive gaping, fiery hole all that remained of the engines...

One of the rounds caught the zombie dragon in the head, the other in the ribs. The creature's head was thrown to the side, jerked by the force of the impact, the dragon falling off the tower in a spray of blood. A few moments after it cleared, the sensor swivelled around, locking right onto Tsu'Shin above.

The technology developed by the isolated scientists didn't need a radar lock. They were the same men and women who had developed the much welcomed dragon dart missile system. The base's defence system made the dragon dart look like a child's toy. The sensor system locked onto the magical presence of Tsu'Shin, detecting the immense amount of mana in use.

An un-assuming turret in one corner of the compound begun loading. A large mechanism prepping what looked like a railgun. Loaded, the turret raised up on it's mount and pivoted around, aiming at the Shadow Dragon. A safety system on it's barrel unlocked and slid out of place, a loud hum emanating from the weapons battery packs. With a low pitched boom, the weapon fired, recoiling back from the force of the shot.
The shot impacted within the second, the shell initially going right through the Shadow Dragon's incorporeal form, before exploding in a bright flash of blue flame. There was a roar of surprise, and the dragon was suddenly engulfed in a huge flash of blue, a powerful shock wave rippling out of the blast.

When the glow died down, a thin, weak looking dragon was revealed, quivering in the air. So bereft of muscle, it's chest looked like part of it's neck or tail, deprived it's cloak of shadow and energy, Tsu'shin was finally revealed for what it was. The dragon's head tilted down, looking at a clean hole through it's stomach, where the shell had entered, blood leaking out of the wound. It let out a low, wailing moan and fell back, plummeting out of the sky, finally landing just outside the research compound, at the edge of the forest, thumping with a loud crack The singularity cloud above dispersed weakly, the duplicates and the zombie's corpse melting into nothingness...

The meek corpse of the once powerful shadow dragon already began to disintegrate. The beast had been almost nothing but energy, which had been ignited and destroyed by the compound's defence system.

Jacob ran to the wall, watching the gurgling monster die.

"Jesus christ! haha! and thats why the people pay their ******* taxes woo!" John shouted through the radio as cheers filled the radios. John at the moment finally unleashed every bit of pent up emotion inside of him as well as every pilot did. The jets above circled the area and it seemed clear. "Yo Jacob, I owe you one there bro, thats was ******* awesome woo!" John radioed back to the ground forces just as the cheers slowly died. There was still the occasional chuckle but the pilots knew they had to relax and not get ahead of themselves. The roar of the engines begin to rather slow down as the jets themselves decreased speed, nothing was chasing them at the moment. John chuckled, waiting for a response but in the back of his mind that as successful as they were right now..he had once again lost some good pilots..

Back elsewhere

Any remaining jets within the cloud at the moment were doomed to die. They continued to fly and fly but no matter what, it seemed that no matter they did..their fate had been decided. Whatever was in this cloud or whatever the creature was, it would not stop until each of them were dead.
The thought was mind boggling but the pilot of the chopper lowered is head as he continued to fly forward...there was no looking back. He held back tears but he had no time for that, he had to bring some people home but despite having seeing it time and time again, the thought of having fellow pilots die in order to save others was just something he could never be immune too.

for a moment, the Wyvern materialised before the chopper pilot's eyes, glowing red eyes glinting, before streaking off, a red trail visible behind the eyes, their owner moving at startling speeds for an animal, a gunshot being heard in the back of the craft, Mike having put a bullet through the face of whatever it was that had possessed the metal of the chopper's door, leaving a small bullet hole open to the outside...

Meanwhile, ahead of one of the jets in the psychic mist, the Wyvern appeared, a seeming glowing visible in it's mouth, though oddly formed of two fiery orbs...

Jacob grinned, jumping over a broken piece of concrete and radioing back "Roger that, Captain. I owe you a pint on this one. Damn good work." He watched the dying dragon completely melt away, leaving nothing but it's silhouette burned into the grass. He looked back over at the crater, fires still burning around the concrete, remembering the rest of his team... His racing mind finally slowed down to think about what had actually happened down in the dragon's lair. He had been running on instinct and adrenaline since. He paused. It call came back instantly... Dynamo had his leg cut off, Rock was flung into Juliane, Juliane got a fully grown man to the face... Adam missing his arm. He jogged back over to the crater, leaning over it. He switched channels on his radio and asked "Anybody there? Guys? What's your status?"

Juliane had only just come too recently. She groaned and reached for the radio, replying "Yeah I'm here Jacob. Status? Were in ****. Rock's out cold. Dynamo was bleeding out but I stimm'd him an-" Jacob cut her off "What about Adam?" She answered back "It's not good. You should come down here. We'll need a medevac"

Jacob replied "Roger, good work." He switched channels, trying to contact the americans "John, think you could raise our choppers and call them in for medevac? they're outside our range."
