"Nightbane, maybe you could release that snake now? he's basically useless now since we found White Tip," Red growled with excitment due to the fact that she could be with her sister again. Red started to get annoyed by the rain, as it drizzled from the sky, and limped over to a tall tree. The snake struggled in Nightbane's mouth, hissing everytime it saw one of the lions. It opened it's mouth, showing it's fangs, ready to bite Nightbane, Red Claw growling at it.
"What's the plan?!" - random soldier, Mud and Blood 2.

"Zip it snake. i could 'accidentally' bite you in half. you won't grow THAT back" snarled the Lion, before swinging his head to the side, letting go, leaving it to fly off a few feet. as he turned he whispered to Redtail "You can have it if you like...as far as i know, it's not poisonous...might help fill that bottomless stomach of yours". meanwhile, Whitetip followed her sister, noticing the limp. "You're limping. what happened?" she growled, before glancing at Nightbane, then back to Redclaw. Nightbane walked over, shaking his head, water being sprayed from the lion's chocolate brown, almost black mane, the mottled streaks of golden fur in it shimmering from the water that covered it...

"It was a spitting cobra, got me when I wasn't watching my surroundings, but I should be fine within a day," Red Claw grunted. When she finally reached the tree, she lowered her body to the ground and started to rest, waiting for the storm to end, and go back to the place she was calling "home," the place she had to call home.

As he neared the lions location, Titanis slowly began to drop down toward the ground, using the tall grass to camoflauge himself. Now, he could see three lions only about 300 feet before him. Titanis kept himself as low to the ground as he could, the THylacine crouched down near a large bush. As he watched, he noticed that one of th elions seemed to have a limp in her leg. So there were two female lions and a male... not a big pack, but atleast he didn't have to worry about being overrun. As far as he could recall, lions weren't the best of runners, and Titanis himself could outpace most lions, especially if he had a head start. For now though, he just sat back, camoflauged, and watched the show...

"Are you sure? Snake bites don't usually just go away by themselves" growled Whitetip, conscerned. "She'll be fine. usually victims of that snake drop really fast. Red here, hasn't. And if I took a grown King Cobra bite and survived, i'm sure a near miss by a spitter shouldn't be too much of a problem for Red" rumbled Nightbane with a reassuring smile. Whitetip eyed the massive male for a moment, considering what he said, still somewhat conscerned. "hm.....i dunno"...

Redtail, busily chewing on the snake Nightbane had dropped, mostly ignored the conversation, taking in his new surroundings...

As Red Claw rested, waiting for the storm to pass by, she noticed Redtail chewing on the snake. "Who needed that worthless scaly rope anyways?" Red growled to herself as she watched Redtail eat away. She took note of her surroundings, watching out for any predators that could be stalking the four, as a bird gently landed on a branch above her, causing some leaves to float down. Red started to dig into the soil as more droplets of water came rushing down onto her face.

Nightbane yawned as he glanced across the rain-soaked surroundings, the glow of lightning in the distance catching his attention, a few moments passing in silence before the crackling boom of thunder tore out overhead. "I love storms" he growled randomly as he watched the dark cloudy sky beneath the shade of the tree, very few rain drops reaching him and the others from his position. "Why's that?" growled Whitetip, somewhat bewildered, sharing her sister's hate for rain. "It's soothing. living in a dry savannah for months on end and only getting water from watering holes and rivers can really dull my mood.....seeing the sky go dark, seeing the water soak the earth around me....give me a change from the scorching sun...that's a change of atmosphere i'd gladly see more often. part of the reason i go to the jungle areas from time to time. they get more rain around there. usually the savannah near it gets a fair amount of rain too, but not as heavy as the jungles. it makes crossing all that ground worth the effort" he growled as he lay on his side, watching the dark blackish grey sky above, light appearing behind one of the clouds for a second as another distant boom rumbled above...

"The only reason I like the storms is because they replenish our water supply," Red growled with a grin. As she glanced over at Redtail for a second time, she noticed the snake was almost gone, and didn't even bother trying to get it. "White Tip, how long did it take for you to finally find a way out of that mash up of grass and bushes? Me and our brother only left because we thought you died in there or something, seeming like that as we waited for about two days for you before finally moving on," Red growled, wondering why her sister didn't come out of the high grass with the gazelle.

"Ah" started Whitetip, looking at her paws kinda uncomfortably. "About that.....i...kinda got lost during the hunt. lost track of your scents completely....ended up surviving off the gazelle i killed and a small watering hole...been looking ever since" she growled...

"Oh, well, I'm very sorry for leaving while you were in there, we should have come in the mess of that green vegatation looking for you. Well, atleast you survived in that stuff, trapped like your being cornered by predators," Red growled, eyeing the jackal, as he had finished the snake. The rain started to finish coming down, as Red Claw pulled herself up, stretched, and got ready to head back to the tree she was living at. She started to limp along the ground, following the river bank back to the tree, the only possible thing to lead her back there, even though they didn't head out to far.

Nightbane headed forward ahead of the group towards the spot. most of the scents of the area had been taken over by the smell of wet foliage, the rain having washed the scents out of the air. White tip followed close behind, catching up to her sister. "Who is that Lion anyway?" she growled in a whisper, making sure the lion couldn't hear her...

"Him, he's Nightbane, he let me stay with him due to the condition I was in, being alone for several years was terrible, yet, I still survived, just like you. Also, the jackal is called Redtail, he's annoying, but you'll get used to him," Red Claw replied with a growl. She grinned at White Tip as the group headed off towards tree, barley giving off a scent that they could remember, as it was basically all wet and mucky now, except for a few areas. A eagle swooped over their heads as it dived for the water, plucking a fish from the surface. She watched as Nightbane continued towards the scent of the tree, the rest following close behind.

"Ah" responded White tip. as Nightbane neared he slowed his pace, checking the air for any fresh scents to hint that something was nearby. nothing. "You should..." started White tip quietly as she tilted her head towards the lion, as if hinting towards something...

"You know..." growled Whitetip quietly, trying to get Redclaw to realise what she meant. she was cut short as Nightbane stopped at the base of a large tree, one of many in the nearby area...

Red Claw started to think hard about what her sister wanted her to do. She was annoyed that White Tip kept cutting herself off to look at Nightbane, and replied with a growl, "what do you want me to do, White Tip?"

Whitetip simply chuckled. "you're completely clueless, aren't you?" she growled. not waiting for an answer, she shrugged it off and lay near the tree. "Nevermind. What happened to Ndugu?" she growled, inquiring about her brother...

"He's dead, I'm sorry, but he got trampled to death by a stampede of wildabeasts, and died quickly afterwards," Red Claw growled, with a saddened tone. She didn't want her sister to know, but she had no other choice just then.
