"THAT WAS IT!" Aircrest growled. "The other raptor's name was Rockhead!" he exclaimed. "Wow, isnt that ironic. He got killed by his brain dead brother" He hissed. Hazel growled "I have a feeling that you have a lot more stories like this. Stories that need other stories to be told in order to be understood. Because I am lost" She shook her head. Aircrest grinned.

The thundering sound of heavy footsteps rings through the small area near Gothmog, the monstrous Giga on the prowl again for prey.....

Kronos spots a weak spot in the stego herd, circling towards it before rushnig it. The herd breaks up, as Kronos begins to give chase to a slower one. Lehra waits in the shadows near a worn out building, waiting for the trap to be sprung........

"Now that I think about it...yup," Selena growled, grinning at Hazel.

"Great..." Hazel growled, smiling back while still trying to make sense of the misadventure. "I always have a story to tell, thanks to my...liberal life style. Like this one time Megarpators tried to kill me. Thats my favorite story thus far" Aircrest growled. Hazel raised a scaly eyebrow and growled "Why would Megaraptors want to kill you?" her voice showing her disbelief. "Ill tell you. I dont think you heard it either, did you Selena?" He growled to his mate

"No, I haven't," Selena growled, curious now.

"It was some time before I even met you" Aircrest began with a bark. "I was just laying around in the jungle, resting, when out of the blue this megaraptor just appears and starts going on about helping him kill someone. He gets pissed when I say no and tries to well...kill me. We fight and I rip one of his eyes out and he goes running off. That apparently, wasnt enough to get him to leave me alone and he got a few friends to help him kill me. I run, they chase, and after a bit of running through the trees I wind up on the head of that really big T-rex, Crusher. It turns out thats who they wanted to kill for some reason. I got away, they probably got eaten, alls well that ends well" Aircrest growled. Hazel blinked a few times, before snarling "Ok, now I know that didnt happen"
"It did!" Aircrest barked. "I wouldnt believe it either if it hadnt happened to me but it did!"

Selena let out an amused hum. "Crazy stuff happens to you a lot, it would seem," she growled.

"Crazy is my life. Im used to it. I wake up every day basically waiting for the crazy" Aircrest growled in a monotone. "Does that seem crazy to you?" He growled, looking back at the two females for a moment, before snickering

"Yes, it does, come to think of it" hissed a familiar voice in the trees, the black and orange Deinonychus leaping out of the trees and landing with a light thump not far from the trio, the Deinonychus taking several steps towards the Raptors...

"Absolutely," Selena deadpanned, glancing at the Deinonycus in mild surprise.

"And have you happened to see anything crazy coming this way by any chance? Im still waiting" Aircrest added jokingly

"Well...aside from a suicidal Gorgonops that was running towards a fresh human scent...not really, no. Knowing our luck, said suicidal Gorgonops will probably be charging through here in a few minutes screeching like a raptor chick" hissed Hellfire with a smirk. "That or a random compy flying by and getting lodged in a tree" he growled...

Selena snorted. "That WOULD be just our luck," she growled.

Several footsteps were being heard on Sorna. Several big footsteps. Grunting. Snorting. All the typical signs of an adult, but grouchy, Stegosaur. He was traveling on a side of the island that not many were actually near at the moment. ((This is Sorna.))

Being alone was something this Stegosaur was familiar with. Hence being so.. grouchy. His original herd had dispersed a time ago. Nearby there was a Velociraptor, looking like he was almost making a burrow. The maroon carnivore simply looked up at the behemoth passing and scurried back into his large hole in the ground that must have taken weeks to dig out. He sighed again with a grunt, knowing he would probably be investigated by the ol' jokester. While he was annoying toward Kujo, the little red, maroon raptor was indeed smart and clever.

He passed.
A burst of red shot out from the hole.
The annoying thing was coming.
Ugh.

Not the first time, either. Ripto continually annoyed the adult, grouchy Stegosaur whenever he was seen. The thagomizer swung back and forth behind him, perfectly balanced, almost acting as a complete warning to the little red raptor. His plates flushed red to show his annoyance. Only one thing was clear, to the raptor, right now: Back off.

But Ripto was more clever than that. The Stegosaur, after all, does have a brain the size of a walnut. That is, of course, assuming he's stupid.

He crossed to the other side of the mega Stegosaur and caught the grouch by surprise. Again! Could that walnut sized brain process anything?

But this time it wasn't so easy. Kujo's eye focused in on the raptor now, practically zeroing in. A louder grunt and snort was heard. He turned sharply and charged at the Velociraptor. He was in no mood. Especially not for him. Atrocious little thing.

Ripto knew he had once pushed his "victim" of his attitude a tad bit too far. He saw the charge and ran at top speed; well, at least he had that advantage. He leaped up onto a tree, clawing half of the bark off where he had gone up to the branch. Kujo looked up and immediately processed the thought of slamming his front feet on the sturdy tree to shake it up, at the very least. He slammed his feet, knocking the Velociraptor temporarily off balance. Ripto knew his objective. He was really steaming this time!

Ah, mission yet again accomplished. The small red antagonist simply annoyed Kujo when he was bored; it provided stimulation for the both of them, didn't it? Ripto needed to figure out how to annoy him then to avoid him. Kujo needed to figure out where he was, and how to chase him! A perfect game of tag. Only, Ripto saw it as a game. Kujo saw it as being angered.

Another loud bellowing noise from below. Ripto balanced on his thighs, in a crouch on the large branch. His goofy face looked down at the angered Stegosaur, only taunting the creature more. He slammed his side against the tree in obvious anger, his plates glowing red because of his blood pumping.

Ripto had sure gotten away this time, but not always. There had been times of Ripto's spine nearly being crushed by his front feet. If only he had succeeded, the annoying little bug would be gone now. He had an advantage over Kujo: flexibility and speed.

He continued on his way, looking for any particular food or water source. He was a tad picky about what ferns or plants he'd eat; he preferred certain meals.

Sheila saw some of the action from the safety of the giant burrow the 5 raptors had dug; she called for her sister Elora so the two could go out and find their father together. Rhynoc and Bentley were still in the burrow, or den, with only their heads peeking out to watch for any other creatures. The two young females wandered along, seeing the angry herbivore in the distance. So Ripto was probably around here somewhere, then..

Ripto was on a generally low branch of the tree, just high enough to get away from the large Stegosaur. A bush was under the branch, and because of the weight being on the particular branch so long it began to snap. He watched it crack, crack.. crack.

He went down with the branch, into the bush. He stuck his head out, Sheila and Elora looking a tad surprised to see him sticking out of a bush. Ripto nudged them, and scurried off toward the burrow. Finally reaching it and settling down again, his body ached, and didn't feel like being bothered. He curled up and quickly dozed off, blocking the entrance to the burrow with his body to protect his four chicks.

((If there's any issues with this post, do let me know.))
To keep track:
Amynta - Apatosaurus
Ripto - Velociraptor
Sheila - Velociraptor
Kujo - Stegosaurus

"Yes. Fresh Human scent" growled Hellfire, knowing the implications of it. where there was one human, there were ALWAYS many, many others, close behind....

a low, satisfied hiss came from within one of the run down dusty stores that could be seen along the human paths in the massive city. Ripper had decided to explore the city more thoroughly, and had come across some interesting things. currently, the object of his fascination was a former jewelry store. the dust caked the various shelves heavily, and initially there was nothing particularly attractive here. however, a sneeze had changed all that. as the dust settled, the sparkles and shines of various items of jewelry caught his eye. cocking his head, he reached a clawed hand for a ring, curling a finger once he had it on one of his claws to keep it from falling, before lifting it to his face to see it's details more thoroughly. "What use could humans have for these?" he hissed curiously. glancing towards one of the corners of the shop he noticed a box full of what looked like more of the strange objects. he walked towards them, hoping that perhaps looking at others would help him figure out their purpose. a soft splintering crunch was the next thing to be heard, the Raptor falling face first as his foot slipped through a hole in the rotten floor. with an irritated groan he struggled to his feet, eying the fallen rings across the floor, his head having landed in the box. the Elder crouched, examining the objects carefully, before noting his reflection in a dusty mirror next to him. something was off though. walking over, he snorted, the dust being blown away from the mirror, the Raptor taking a step back in surprise. everything seemed normal...until he glanced at his quills. adorning them were several of the odd objects, gold and silver rings on several of his quills sparkling interestingly. an amused hiss came from the elder as he continued into the store, his eyes settling on something else of interest...

"So...they returned again?" Hazel growled, scuffing at the ground uneasilly. "Looks like it" Aircrest barked, lips curled slightly. "Lets get to the creek and see if we can avoid them for as long as we can." He growled, looking to Hazel, Selena and Hellfire

Pulsar lifted his head, bringing it up to search for the new voice. He sweeped the area, his eyes coming to rest on Razorwing's minuscule form, before looking at the rest of the new arrivals as well.
"Hello," he growled warily, not having seen them before.

At the same time, Renegade looked at Pulsar quizzically, the same questioning tone and look evident on his face...

"You go on. I'm going to see if i can't find Ripper. knowing him he'd love to find out about the humans" growled Hellfire...

said Elder Raptor was now walking out of the human den, several small rings addoring the numerous quills on his head, neck and tail. around his neck was a somewhat tight silvery chain, at the end of which dangled a blue stone. a contented hiss came from the raptor. he'd make sure to put the chain somewhere safe when he finally finished his little adventure around the human island and found a place to rest. for now however...he wanted to enjoy his little prizes. I suppose sometimes thinking like Aircrest CAN be useful thought the elder with a chuckle. speaking of which...he decided to hunt down the Raptor, leaping into a tree, confident his little decorations were safe, having firmly pushed them onto the quills...
