Nightbane smiled. "I think it's about time i told you two my name" he growled, his mind working furiously, the lion feeling as if a hundred voices were arguing in his head over whether or not to reveal his true name...

"Huh? Your name is Nightbane though, we both know that," Red Claw grunted, confused of why Nightbane would tell them his name again. "Did you hit your head on a rock or something during the fight?" Red growled, still confused.

Whitetip was just as confused. "Are you feeling okay?" she asked the male, cocking her head.

Nightbane chuckled at the confusion, finally deciding that they were close enough for him to reveal the name to them. "The name 'Nightbane' isn't the name i was born with. nor is it my real name. It's a nickname i was given by one of the young males i roamed with in my early days as a loner. He called me that because he noticed i preffer night hunts and because i was a vicious fighter. I liked it and decided to use it as the name i introduced myself by. it helped me forget the sorrows of my past" he explained...

"So then, what is your real name, Nightbane?" Red Claw rumbled, wanting to know a little more about Nightbane, or whatever his name was. She would still call him Nightbane, but not as frequently as she would with his real name.

Nightbane sighed, giving himself a few moments to let the weight of the word settle. "Nguvu" he growled. "My father named me Nguvu" he rumbled, his mind weighed down as the memories of his cubhood returned...

"Well, thats a pretty good name, unlike mine, it's just a nickname, I don' have a real name," Red Claw growled, mad at the name she had gotten during her day as a newborn. Even though the name sounded cool at first, it quickly got boring for the lioness, not having a real name, just a nickname to pose as a real one.

"That's a fitting name," Whitetip growled, turning to her sister. "Then why don't you name yourself? You could be called anything you wanted."

"Like i did with Nightbane" growled the lion, adding to Whitetip's words...

"The name actually fits for me, unless I come up with something better later on in the years to come," growled Red Claw, smiling at the two.

Nguvu thought over the issue silently, smirking inwardly. "I could give it a shot....see if i can't come up with a name for you" he growled...

As Titanis ripped out a large hunk of meat and ghewed on it, a sudden scent struck him, one that he knew ment danger. The scent was that of a Jaguar... The thylacine turned to face the direction of the smell, his fangs barred as he tried to locate the beast...

From the bushes, a large male Jaguar emerged, with a large scar running down his face. His fur was pitch black, and he was roughly Titanis's size, though he weighed twice as much. "I thought I smelled something familiar around here..." The jaguar growled, his yellow teeth visible to the THylacine...

"Ok, give it a shot, Nguvu," Red Claw rumbled, calling Nightbane by his real name for the first time. She continued to slurp down more water from the river as she waited for Nguvu to reply.

Nguvu chuckled. "Alright alright, gimme a while to think. first i need to remember what my father told me about those names. they all mean something....Nguvu means strength" he growled as his brows furrowed in thought, trying to remember what he was told as a cub about naming...

"Ok, just nudge me on the shoulder when you think of one, I'll be getting the taste of blood out of my mouth while you do," Red Claw growled, replying as she took in another big gulp of water. She started to dig into the dirt below her paws as she continued drinking from the river.

Nguvu remained for several moments, thinking over the details. after a while, a smile graced his features. the Lion rose and went to take a drink, gulping down several mouthfuls before raising a paw and dipping it in the water, soon doing the same with the other, before grooming his slightly injured flank. "How does 'Amani' sound to you?" he growled as he eyed Redclaw...

"Ok, but does the name have any good meaning to it like yours, Nguvu?" Red Claw growled, not knowing if the name had a meaning at all.

"Amani means peace. When you were talking about how your family cared for the animals around them, it got me thinking. i think it's kinda fitting" growled Nightbane with a smile as he lowered his head to drink...

"Thats pretty good actually. I'll take it!" Red Claw growled, smiling at Nguvu. "Well, White Tip, do you want a real name, considering your 'real' name is a nickname just like mine was?" Amani grunted, asking her sister.

Whitetip's eyes widened slighty. "I'd love one," she growled, glancing at Nguvu hopefully.
