"What happened to you, mother? Where are the rest of my sisters? what happened to our pride?" he growled in conscern. "Maovu....that's what happened" growled Maiara sadly. " After you were driven out, Maovu took full control of the pride. for several weeks, we were driven to hunt more than normal, Kubwa, Jino and Maovu eating more than their fair share and threatening anyone who challenged them with death. Jino and Maovu, at least. Kubwa seemed to behave in silence. as if he was not truely happy with what had happened. Maovu killed every male cub in the pride in an effort to prevent Shujaa's sons from posing a threat to him in the future. Jino ruined several of our hunts in an attempt to impress Maovu, successfully starving half of us to death in the process before he was stopped. Maovu killed several of the older females in the pride in an effort to cut down the pride's consumption so he would have food for himself. and at the end of that, Maovu started demanding insane things of the pride. he ordered the pride to hunt down an elephant that had made it's way into our territory. a lone bull. we challenged the order, but he struck me, knocking me out, and apparently used me as leverage to make my daughters listen" explained Maiara, noting Nguvu's expression had changed from that of conscern to one of anger, his lips curled up, his massive teeth bared as a low rumble began to eminate from the lion. "And what happened?" he growled in a forced calm. "Half the remaining lionesses were killed by the bull before it was brought down....several of my daughters among them" sighed Maiara. "We forced Maovu out after that, and would have killed him and the other two if they hadn't escaped across the border and into the jungle. since then i've lead the pride" explained Maiara finally. "I'm going to kill him. I'm going to skin him alive, then feed him to the hyenas" snarled Nguvu with a cold fury that he'd never believed he could ever feel. turning, he moved towards the border, Maiara stopping him. "Don't do the same to the other two. I've been watching Kubwa. he regrets his actions. the only reason he follows Maovu now is because he has no other choice. leaving him would get him killed. Jino only does what he does because he seeks recognition. he's a fool, but he's not evil" she growled, pleading for the two younger ones' lives. "If they try and stop me, i'll kill them as well. Evil or not. They did this to their family. Now they'll pay for it" snarled Nguvu firmly as he continued onwards...
"This is as far as i go. Find him. lure him back. and i will wait" rumbled Kuruk as he reached the edge of the jungle. the scorching sun was not something the bear was equipped to handle, and the exhaustion that would come from fighting in that heat would put him at a disadvantage. he wanted to make sure there would be no mistakes. after today, he didn't ever want to see Shadow or his brothers again. "Alright. Come on, Kubwa. let's go find our dear old brother" growled Jino with a cackle as he moved onwards after the scent...

"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
