"I just followed the stream for some food. Didn't know you were here," Amani growled, lifting her head out of the gazelle's flank, blood covering her snout. "This place sure is a beauty," the lioness thought, glancing over towards the waterfall. She then got back up from sitting down and continued eating into the gazelle, before grabbing the liver in her mouth, and walking back the way she had come with it, leaving what was left of her kill for Nguvu, Uzuri, and Kubwa, also leaving three pieces of the liver behind...

"If there are lions around," Night growled slowly, choosing her words carefully. "It won't be safe to be on your own." She paused. "You can stay here for a little while I suppose...at least until that lion leaves."

Uzuri gave a chuckle, starting to walk around slowly, checking the place out more thoroughly. "It really is beautiful here," she growled, almost to herself. It's almost too perfect, she thought.

"Well, thanks," Sharp growled, not wanting to exactly be on his own with lions around in the jungle. "The last thing I'd want is to be face to face with a lion," the wolf continued, still watching the clouds lazily drift by...

"oh" responded Kubwa somewhat sadly. he had seen how uncomfortable Uzuri was when Amani left. he had hoped that she would change her mind, but it seemed she was still set on living alone for a while. sighing, the lion walked off, to search for decent materials to make himself a comfortable resting spot...

"I hope you like it....I have a feeling we're going to be here for a while" he growled as he turned back towards the entrance to start gathering something to make a comfortable resting spot with...

Amani, hearing Kubwa's voice have a tone of saddness, suddenly dove into the river with the chunk of meat still in her mouth, and quickly swam over towards the other side. "Maybe I could just stay and visit for a while?" she growled, looking at Kubwa, a soaked peice of meat clamped down on in her jaws, as she trotted over towards him...

Kubwa smiled. "We'd really like that" he growled, voicing his own feelings on th matter as well as what he knew Nguvu and Uzuri felt. "We have a large den now, behind the waterfall. I'm getting something to make a resting place for me out of. Nguvu and Uzuri said they planned on having you....Night....and Lusa, i think they said....they planned to have you all there in the future" he explained...

Uzuri began nosing around the cracks and crevices in the cave walls, looking for the moss that she knew grew in damp areas. If they tore it up and squeezed the water out, it should be enough to begin to soften the stone up. Moss probably wouldn't be enough though. Ferns, she knew, made good bedding too. Once she'd found what she was looking for, she'd go looking for some.

Night growled, "You think a lion's scary? When they're angry, sure. But try facing down a determined bear and then come talk to me about being scared out of your pelt." Her wound, which hadn't been too bad in the first place, had mostly healed over, leaving pink, fresh scars where the bear's claws had hit their mark.

A small smile spread across Amani's face as she dropped the saterated piece of meat from her mouth, before continuing on towards the waterfall. "Uzuir and Nguvu sure will be surprised to see me here," the lioness thought to herself, trotting to the back of the waterfall, then walking into the entrance of the cave. "Uzuri! Nguvu! guess who's here!" she suddenly growled, walking into the dimly lit cave.

"I've encountered one before, a few month's back, actually. Clawed me right across my snout, the reason why there's a scar on my upper jaw," Sharp grunted, recalling the bear he had fought a while back, knocking a rock off the cliff with his paw in the proccess of speaking. "D**n thing nearly sent me flying, after that I just ran for a while, to make sure it wasn't still on my tail," the wolf continued, remembering the bear that made him lose his previous home, a fine cave, before he moved to the ditch that he called home...

Nguvu stopped as Amani entered, surprised. "Couldn't bare to keep away from us, eh?" growled the lion with a chuckle as he eyed Amani, before looking back at Uzuri...

"Just came to visit," Amani rumbled as she continued into the cave. "I caught a gazelle on the other side of that river out there, saved some of the liver and what was left of it for you all, but kubwa probally got to it already, but if he didn't, there is still enough of it left for the three of you," the lioness growled with a chuckle, recalling how Kubwa was. She then laid down on the rocky surface, resting for the moment, beofre asking with a low grunt, "So, how long are you gonna live here?"

Uzuri dropped the moss she'd managed to find, her head turning so quickly that her neck gave a stab of pain in protest. "A-Amani!" she growled, shocked and happy that her sister was back. "Back so soon?"

"Appearently so," Amani growled, getting up, her coat of fur still drenched in water, slightly pulling her body down before she started to shake it off, soaking the cave walls nearby her. "I'll just stay her for a couple of days with you guys, I suppose," she rumbled, laying back down on the bumpy floor, full of rocks and moss...

"I'm hoping to make this a long term home for us" growled Nguvu. "I mean, the den's spacious, fairly warm and secluded, we have the lovely scenary that Uzuri enjoys so much, there's plenty of prey, it's close to our friends. it's practically perfect" he explained...

"And not too far from me either. Just follow the river until it breaks into a fairly small stream, then head right until you find a ditch thats covered by a tree, that's where I'll be living for a while," Amani growled, glancing up towards Nguvu. She then rumbled, "it's not as good as this, but it does have a good water source like this, it's close too you three, Night and Lusa, and some suitable prey is around there, but they're usually in burrows or caves."

Uzuri let out a happy purr before going back to collecting moss, knowing they'd need a lot of it.

Nguvu made a low thoughtful growl. "Sounds to me like you'd have better shelter here" he growled...

"Maybe," Amani growled, thinking about the situation of where she picked to live for the next few months on her own. she then raised her head off the rocky surface of the cave after a long pause to think, and rumbled, "I guess staying here with you three won't be as bad as staying alone in a small ditch covered by a few leaves and branches," as she got up, and started pulling moss out of the small gaps in the walls of the cave, and placing them in the spot she was originally resting in, before heading out of the cave to get some grass and leaves piled on the ground outside, picking up small bundles of plants too.

Uzuri felt like she was walking on air. She had a wonderful mate, her sister was back, and they all had a wonderful home close to where Night and Lusa lived. It was so perfect it was almost surreal. She dropped the moss in one of the dips in the ground, and started the task of squeezing the water out of and tearing it apart with her claws. Was she going to wake up and find this had all been a dream? She hoped not.

Night shook her head. "All creatures would be better off if bears weren't so bad-tempered," she growled.

Nguvu walked out, growling "I'll be back in a bit...going to find something decent for bedding". as he walked out, he cought sight of Kubwa, walking right past the gazelle outside, bedding materials dragged along behind him in the form of a few long thin vines, many thin soft branches covered in small, fine leaves. "Where'd you find that?" growled Nguvu curiously. Kubwa simply pointed towards where he came from using his tail, continuing onwards, Nguvu amazed at the fact Kubwa didn't even take a bite out of the gazelle. he was obviously serious about what he promised. to go against his own nature for the good of the rest of them...where Kubwa was conscerned, that was an achievement. that said something. smiling, Nguvu walked into the treeline to get more of the fine, soft bedding...

Roughly an hour later, Nguvu looked at their collective handiwork. his and Uzuri's perch in the back of the cave was thickly bedded in the vines, mosses, and several large moist rubbery leaves. in addition to that, Kubwa had gone the extra distance to set up spots for each of their companions, helping Amani with hers, in addition to his own, and two for the two friends, though both were rather large, Kubwa not knowing who they were. Nguvu chuckled at the sight, and was inwardly pleased with Kubwa's willingness to help. "I think this is probably the most welcoming little den i've ever had the pleasure to be in. we do good work" growled Nguvu with a smirk, Kubwa smiling at his older brother's approval...

Uzuri murmured her agreement, looking around. The way it looked now made her not want to ever leave. She could live here, with her sister, Kubwa, and Nguvu, and maybe even one day...she quickly glanced at Nguvu out of the corner of her eye before going back to admiring their work. Maybe after we get settled, we'll raise a family here, she thought. It looks like there isn't a shortage of prey, and there's certainly no need to fear there won't be enough to drink. There's shelter too. Uzuri pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind. Now wasn't the time to be thinking of cubs.
