"Maybe that's our mistake then. maybe we should talk to our food more often" growled Blade with a smirk...

"Let me know how that goes for you," Alira growled, flashing a smirk of her own.

"Chances are you'll get to see it first hand" growled Blade with a chuckle...

"I'm sure it'll be an interesting sight," Alira growled. With a quiet laugh, she added, "If your prey doesn't escape. Then it'll just be entertaining."

"Traumatizing a herbivore before you kill it?" Alira snorted. "Go for it."

"So I found Hellfire and I had my little trip around the island..." Aircrest growled to himself as he thought out loud. "Talk about killing two compies with one swipe." He said as he kicked a rock in his way into a bush. The plant rustled and shuddered as several of the small predators scampered out to find new cover. "So it all worked out in the end...not bad for something who hardly plans his next step" He blinked a few times as he thought about the word. "Plans...plans... plans...damn it" he thought. He still had to make up his mind about his future with his mate. He walked up to a fallen log that was a few feet ahead of him, stepping onto it and laying down upon it. He needed a place to think for a while.

Selena, with her own ferns in her claws, started towards Hazel's temporary den. "At times," she growled. "Those are the times when I worry that he's going to get himself killed. That I'll see my world taken from me again." There was the slightest hesitation before the last word, the mutant look-alike feeling the familiar sting of grief as she thought of her family.

"...Again?" Hazel growled, cocking her head. "You lost a mate before?" She asked, though she felt a tad bit uncomfortable that her curiousity was bringing up such painful subjects.

Aircrest bared his teeth as he came to yet another mental dead end. The issue with him having hatchlings, though it seemed minor from at first glance, was confusing him to no end. He loved Selena, he knew that. He wanted to be with her for as long as life permitted, but how would they fare in those days ahead? Would they stay as they were now, or would change come beckoning again, and he wouldnt be ready for it? What if the events of the past happened again? He clawed at the log and let out a frustrated hiss. All he ever got when he thought was questions, never answers. The only time he ever got things done was rushing into the task at hand full force, but he wasnt about to make a commitment he wasnt prepared for...

"No..." Selena growled. "I lost my whole family. My sister, her mate, my parents, my nephew..." She shook her head. "They were all murdered," she finished quietly.

"...I really should stop asking about those things" Hazel growled, bowing her head apollogetically. "Sorry for your loss, I really am...but if you really do fear losing Aircrest then...the only thing I could say is, well...tell him. I tried, but I think he'd listen to you better. You are his mate after all, Im just a raptor he hasnt seen in a few years" She growled, trying to help the tormented mutant look alike.

"This isnt going to work..." Aircrest snarled as he got off the log, his tail twitching slightly as he started off back the way he came. Something was obviously getting in the way when he tried to think about the future, himself. He's gone every day of his life with only an idea of what was to come as the sun passed over head. Usually that "idea" was wrong. Horribly wrong, in some cases. Him trying to think about years ahead proved too impossible a task. So in his quest for answers, theres only one other creature to talk to: his mate. Perhaps her insight on his dilema could finally lay his worries to rest

"But I suppose that's neither here nor there. It's not like I can change the past..." Switchblade growled in a soft, resigned tone after a short silence, but resolving never to make the same mistake again in the future. Haze's blue eyes roamed tiredly from one Lili to the other as she hissed, evidently saddened, "I'm... truely sorry to hear that... Such a waste of a life, and when friends of our kind are so few and far between..."

Rhojis' gaze flicked briefly to the green raptor. "You too huh..." He lifted a hand to scratch his neck idly, mouth opening and closing again before he decided to speak. "Y'know I... I'm not entirely sure if I want to say this, but... can I ask you something, running the risk it'll sound like complete nonsense?"

As the Rex hit the ground, he exhaled sharply, stunned. "...Ow..." Fury growled, slowly getting back to his feet. "It was worth a shot, at least..." he snarled, shaking from head to tail, making sure everything still worked...

Rapture, head resting on the ground in front of him, watched the other three Lilis passively. Their history together made his past seem quite boring...

Crusher's eyes narrowed. "I think that's probably the one lesson you never really learned, Fury" he growled. "You don't know when to fight and when to run" he rumbled, shaking his head slightly, the grooves from the bite by the younger Rex adding to his collection of scars...

"Like I said...one has to at least try to move up in life...no offense." Fury growled with a slight smirk.

"You might want to try and take on something you're up to par with next time" rumbled Crusher with a chuckle. "What you've been taught would be enough to put you at an advantage against most other predators your age. you have the skill that someone several years your senior would have. don't waste your advantage on someone twice as experienced" he growled. taking a sniff of the air around him, he realised Fury's scent had the remnants of the humans' scent on him. "I'm surprised something your size managed to get by me on the human island...and there i thought i had found every superpredator there" he growled...

Fury grunted, a puff of air escaping his nostrils with the gesture. "I've seen my fair share of humans...I did my best to make sure I wasn't noticed." he explained with audible anger...

Crusher grunted, amused. "Humans have things that help them see what cannot be seen. not even Carnotaurs can hide from them" he growled...

Thorn rumbled sadly, "Storm rests with our pack now. We'll see them all again one day." Lowering his head for a moment, he allowed the familiar pang of grief to take over. When he lifted his head, he turned to the other male Lili. "What about you, brother?" he asked, cocking his crested head. "Will you tell us about yourself?"

Howler nodded. "Go ahead. Don't worry, I'll warn you if it sound like nonsense," he hissed jokingly.
