"I honestly have no idea. though i can tell you that is had much less plantlife than we have here. it was mostly made up of tall hollow spires of stone. there were strange transparent barriers on them that smashed into blade-like shards if you hit them hard enough. and the gaps between the spires were littered with large husks...the noisy things humans ride on to move faster. jeeps. all the humans there were dead though...skeletons. like something suddenly came and killed them all" growled Fatalis as he remembered their time on the human island...

Banescale rolled around in the leaves he had bedded down in. He was sitting still in the grassy knoll he used as a lookoutpoint when hunting, only the current objective was to sleep, wich so far, wasnt going so well. He cawed out mutiple times, then sat back down silently waiting for an answer.

Eradicus lumbered through the jungle of Isla Sorna, carrying his kill, a juvenile iguanodon, heading back to his territory. His meal was caught only moments ago, and now he was tired and hungry, deciding to eat just before sleeping on the part of the sandy beach that he called home. Soon, he reached the beach, and dropped his dead prey in the center of his territory, before starting to eat away at the kill.

As soon as Inculta returned to the cave, Viridis stood up. "I'm going to wait for Siri at the half-boulder," she growled by way of explanation. "I'll come back with her and Astus later." Inculta hesitated, looking at her. Then he sighed and nodded. His daughter wasn't a hatchling anymore. She was old enough to make her own decisions. "Be careful, Viridis," he growled. "There are a lot of predators out tonight." "I know, father," the mottled green female replied, leaving at a fast trot. Inculta was left with Mwuaji, Silver, and the three hatchlings. He relieved Mwuaji of guard duty, and the tired young mutant staggered to a shallow scoop in the cave floor, which was lined with soft young ferns and moss. It was identical to the one Silver and her young were resting in, and the ones the rest of the pack slept in. He almost collapsed there, curling up and falling asleep almost at once.

Viridis climbed onto the half-boulder once she reached it and settled into a crouch. She looked around, searching for any sign of her mother. It was unlikely she'd spot Siri, due to her mother's dark coloration, but she liked to come out here and try anyway when her mother was late coming back from patrols.

Astus hummed thoughtfully. "Strange. But if you're just getting back," he growled, "why are you running around at night instead of resting?" His dark eyes were curious.

Banescale was having trouble sleeping, he kepting thinking of the comeing raid, and what it could mean for him. It could be a new pack, and the beggining of a new life, or it could be a trap. Weary and tired, Banescale drifted off to sleep.

"Sylicora's had an unpleasant discovery...I followed to make sure no harm came to herwhile she was alone. my duty as a pack leader is to make sure my pack doesn't come to harm...applies for each and every member. and right now, as you can see, being alone out here is dangerous. the rest of the pack is in shelter. Sylicora however, isn't" explained Fatalis, trying to avoid lingering on the issue of Sylicora's father too much, to avoid upsetting her too much. he had to try and keep out of the subject as much as possible...too much and his ability to persuade Sylicora would diminish...that was something he couldn't afford to risk...

Astus nodded slowly. "Makes sense."

"And speaking of shelter, we should be getting back to the cave before Viridis, Mwuaji, and Silver start to worry," Siri growled. She added to Fatalis, "It wouldn't be safe for you and her to go wandering about the jungle now, capable leader or not. Why don't you join us in our cave for the night? We only bite our enemies." She was aware of the glance Astus shot her, but ignored it. Fatalis had chased a spinosaur off their territory; the least they could to would be to give him and his companion shelter for the night.

Sylicora blinked several times, trying to get her eyes to clear, still unwilling to lift her gaze from the ground. She was reminded of her family, when she left them that night to free them from the burden of having an extra mouth to feed. She hadn't told either of her parents what she was doing; didn't even think how she was going to take care of herself. She had simply set out after they'd fallen asleep with only a quick farewell to her brother. All at once, she regretted leaving so suddenly, thinking, I... never even saw him before it happened... Never... got to say goodbye or anything... She ran a hand across her muzzle and momentarily squeezed her eyes shut, trying not to think of horrible fact, only partially paying attention to the other raptors' conversation...

"I appreciate the kindness..but we don't want to be a bother" hissed Fatalis as he eyed the two. "We'll do our best not to be a discomfort to you" he added finally. he was initially going to refuse, but then the thought struck him that in Sylicora's current state, going back to the cave would be a very bad idea. she needed some time to let things settle in her mind. to come to terms with what had happened...only then could he talk her into returning. "Come on Sy....you need some rest" he growled lowly to Sylicora, attempting to persuade her to come along, and to at least try and distract her from the thoughts of her father...it was obvious she was in alot of pain...letting her well in it for too long could have disasterous consequences...

Aircrest poked his head out of the jungle's edge, stepping onto cool sand and feeling it sifting away from under his feet. The sand was kicked up at the far side of the shore, where the newly returned dinosaurs laid before they woke up. When they did, they scattered the sandy cover, making craters and dunes all about the shore. Some of them were filled in by high tide, but still the disturbance was visable. There werent much dinosaurs still around at the shore though. Most dinosaurs woke up and were able to stalk off into the jungle. Some were killed and dragged away. What ever the case, he seemed to be alone at this stretch of beach. "So strange what a few hours could do to a place" Aircrest commented, stifling a sneeze shortly after. He grunted drowsilly. "No time for sight seeing" He reminded himself as he looked for a place to rest. He knew it'd be best not to go sleeping on branches in his condition. Waking up from a violent sneeze could throw off his balance and lead to...bad things. But at the same time, he wasnt used to sleeping on the ground. He'd try to find a fallen tree, it'd feel like he's sleeping amongst the leaves without the danger of actually sleeping high off the floor.

"Let's not stand here until we grow roots then," Siri growled. Giving the grieving young female a gentle nudge, she added more gently, "Come this way, young one. We'll get you somewhere you can rest safely."

"We haven't introduced ourselves yet," Astus realized out loud as Siri started to lead the way back to the cave. "My name is Astus. The golden-eyed raptor who was here earlier is Inculta - my brother. He's our leader."

"And my name's Siri," the black female growled, looking over her shoulder. "I'm the other leader of our pack. There are some other pack members I mentioned...Mwuaji, Viridis, and Silver and her hatchlings. You'll meet them when we reach the cave."

as Fatalis listened, the thought struck him. "By chance...is Silver a pale coloured Raptor with blue eyes?" he inquired lowly...

"Yeah," Astus growled. "You know her? We found her and her three hatchlings all but passed out from exhaustion on our territory, trying to make a den...she looked like she'd been walking nonstop for days."

"Yeah," Siri growled. "She said she and her pack went their separate ways...was she part of yours?" she asked, suddenly wondering if Silver had been looking for her pack when she'd been found.

The olive raptor gave a minute nod before starting to follow numbly behind the two leaders, silent except for her pattering footsteps...

The Thunder of heavy footsteps can be heard heading deeper into the jungles of isla Sorna. Gothmog was on the move, and seemed to have an aura of confidence about himself...

Old One Eye gobbles up what remains of her kill and heads off. She may be lonely and sad, but she still has the confidence to look around and return to her territory by the waterfalls...

Enria lifted herself up from where she had bedded down and shook the grass and insects off herself. She put her head in the air and inhaled through her nostrils, cathing the scent of a Lambresaur. But she wasnt hunting, yet she began walking to one of the highest points on the island, being carefull where she walked, for she was walking on a mixture of loose gravel, dirt and rocks. When she finally reached the bluff she steped once more, her left leg out front. She opened hear mouth, and loudly called out for a mate, three times before lying back down to rest.

Old One Eye turns her head towards the sound of rex calls. She continued towards her territory, but kept her head in that direction.

As the rain began pouring down on her, Enria realized, there may not be any suitiable Male's out there right now. Still, she was persistent, and she once again bellowed out a mateing call. She was getting hungry, but she wouldnt eat untill she had found a suitiable mate.
