The raptor yawned as he roused himself from the brief rest he had been taking. Maloriak stood up on the branch he was on, listening to his surroundings for a few seconds and sniffing the air to catch any scents. When he heard only the droning of insects and smelled no other scents in the air, he dropped down off of the branch, landing on the ground below. The raptor stood back up to his full height before heading north at a casual walk. He was thirsty and intended to quench it sooner rather than latter, for if he waited, the area of water he might find might have a creature drinking from it and it would possibly be one that he would prefer to stay away from...

For a few moments, Sylicora could only nod stiffly, though with less reluctance than before. Slightly shocked at herself, she hoped Aircrest wouldn't see how hard she was trying to stop her eyes from clouding again. It felt wrong to be that emotional in front of a raptor she had only met briefly a few days ago. Not wanting to risk breaking down again and doing something else she'd later consider dangerous and rash, the olive raptor took a couple of silent, steadying breaths as she stepped around a fern bush, vaguely wondering when she should turn back. Her own shock seeming to help Aircrest's words sink in, she finally spoke, her voice barely above a murmur. "It would... definitely have been even worse if he let me go on thinking for years that our father was alive somewhere... If someone told me he'd been lying for that long-... Guess I really would just... prefer the truth..."

Siri nodded as Thistle, who had been stalking Siri's tail, pounced. The little off-white raptor let out a delighted squeak as she landed on her target. Carus and Steelclaw were playfighting nearby, under the leader's watchful eye.

Aircrest let out a stifled sneeze, his head held low and his eyes closed. He pushed past the bush as he stumbled forward a few steps, raising his snout again and sniffling. "Truth hurts" He grunted. "But its the best thing you could want. What doesnt kill you makes you stronger...in an emotional sense I guess" He looked to the raptor and growled "I...cant say anything about your father. I cant say anything that will lessen the blow this must be to you. I can only offer advice. That advice being...move on. It might be hard, but lamenting over his death wont do anything but make you miserable."

Bloodfang's eyes snapped open. The pain was back. The burning, the searing, the heat. It had stopped bleeding, and scabbed over, but the pain he felt from it. The pain was driving him mad! He clawed at his wound and tore the scab off, and began growling and hissing in frustration.

Enria bared her teeth and bellow in victory. She had stumbled across this gametrail she hadnever found before. By the scent of it, the only other predators in this area were a male Rex. She felt safe and continued digging into her kill.

Occ: Somone slap me if I call Bloodfang by a different name!!

"Hey, hey, take it easy!" Viridis growled, startled by the male's actions. She took the bloodstained moss she'd used to stop the bleeding earlier and pressed it against Banescale's thigh wound. "If it gets infected, it'll take a lot longer to heal. I don't think you'd like that any more than you like your current situation."

Bane stopped suddenly as the wind changed, a new, unfamiliar scent washing over him. He lifted his head, his eyes narrowing. He started walking toward the smell, which was that of raptor, somewhere near his own arid location. He was in a dry plain, somewhere in the northwest section of the island, with sparse crops of vegetation littering the land. Far up ahead, he could see woodland, scattered across the horizon, getting deeper and thicker as it got further from his location...

Bloodfang slapped his tail onto the ground and sat back in the corner, nawing on a iguanadon bone. "If it were so easy..."

Enria tore the shoulder off the dead stegosaur and continued nawing her way through it. Her eyes were focused on her meal and for the moment, she felt safe.

As Fatalis neared his target, he picked up another scent. that of the Raptor they had met on the human island. Aircrest thought Fatalis. seems coincidences were plentiful as of late. the loner was sick judging by the scent, and Fatalis knew it was impossible he was the only one who noticed it. there was nothing predators liked more than preying on the weak. saved them trouble. Aircrest had proven he was the kind who rapidly built a list of enemies, so Fatalis decided he'd need to take precautions. leaping, the Raptor disappeared into the canopy, the disturbing silence of the action making detection impossible, the Raptor comfortable in the fact he was now downwind from them. he wouldn't be detected...

Crusher slowed as he neared the Northern tip of his border, at the end of his patrol, picking up a scent. The Patriarch narrowed his eyes suspiciously, looking around, inspected his surroundings. the scent was tinted with the smell of pine-like foliage, the surprisingly fresh scent of blood mixed in. snapped and grated tree branches, bark viciously scraped by something large and relatively flat, though having a jagged surface. large footprints in the dirt, almost the size of his own feet. the Rex grunted. It was a Giga. Young. Healthy. Heavily mutated. A bull. From the Northern-most tips of the island. Roughly 55 feet in length, give or take, with an oddly thick, armoured hide. Most recently having hunted another Carcharodontosaurid - A Mapusaurus. The scent of the blood was extremely fresh. and he was sure this Giga didn't live nearby...meaning it either killed the Mapusaurus for food...or fun. Crusher chuckled almost malevolently. Hmmm...A badass, are you? walking into others' territory and taking what you like?.....we'll see about that. this being the end of his patrol, the Rex decided he could spare the time to hunt down this predator...it was time for some entertainment...And punishment...

The beast trudged through the jungle terrain slowly, confident in his strength, fangs dripping with blood and saliva as the creature picked up the scent of two Rexes. A male...and a female. they were not his true targets...pests. distractions. he decided he'd pass them by...but not before giving them a bit of a scare with his presence. with the scent, he detected the scent of Stegosaur blood. perfect. by the time his scent reached them they'd be so full of food they'd be slow and sluggish. scare the life out of them, without even needing to be there...

He was on a march. He had a target...to crush everything that kept him from the top. He knew there were powerful creatures out there...but he didn't care. He had strength that no other creature could hope to rival. He was armed with weapons granted to him by his master...The one who showed him a source of immeasurable power. The one who led him to The Lake...The promises of power given to him by The Lake. It spoke to him. It spoke of might beyond challenge. Irrefutable command over everything around him. The guaranteed vengeance for his late...great...father. Now it was just a matter of time...He would pick apart the creature that he loathed most...and then...he would crush the creature who showed him this power source....so that he would be able to keep the power....to remain unchallengeable. Yesss....You and I will be the masters of this island.....very...very soon...

Enria was happily tearing the apart the stegousaur and gulping down the large herbivore with the essance of a killer.
She was reaching her fill, when the wind chagned direction. Her head snapped up into the air, and she bellowed out loudly. A giga, a big, bull giga. But there was something strange about this animal..... something she hadnt ever smelt before.. She thought nothing of it, thinking a giga woulda be mad challenge her for her kill, and continued gorgeing herself.

Eradicus, soon reaching one of the highest points of the mountain in his newly claimed territory bellowed out a challenging roar to any predators that tried wandering into his home that he had taken from a tyrannosaur so easily, making him believe he was quite stronger than he really was. But the carcharodontosaur knew better than to think that of himself, but held tightly onto the thought that if he scared off a tyrannosaurus rex like he had earlier, he could take on anything. Chopper barked in joy and saddness for his brother when he saw the destroyed nest, but saw that his own was torn apart aswell, the unhatched chicks and the newborn all missing from their home, except for Snake and Wolfe. He felt angered, but realised what he had done without even thinking about it - he had saved his only childeren, the newest generation of their family, from a terrible fate that could've happened because of what ever had came into his territory and destroyed what they could before they got back...

Silverquill walked up the dry, sandy path, he thought to himself. Hmmph. One second I’m with my pack, having a happy meal, the next, I’m here. I can’t seem to-. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw a shiny, glinting rock on the ground. Crouching down, he took the object in his hands, and observed it for a few seconds. He dropped the object from his grasp, then preened his feathers, and gave a wallow in exclamation. Hissing for a moment, he continued walking down the path. I can’t remember. I don’t know what happened. What did happen? It was a mystery he was determined to figure out. But as he turned the corner, his breath was swept straight away from him.

As far as the eye could see, there was sand, and stretching just as far as that, herbivores. Big herbivores. He pushed out his claws from their sockets, and flicked his toe claws to their attack positions.

There’ll be a time for search. Now it’s time to kill.

Eventually, Hazel got up from her spot, her joints cracking with the movement. Her maw parted as she let out a yawn, having dozed off for a short while after laying down. The spot was comfortable and she decided to make up for the sleep she missed out on the night before. She arced her back and flexed her claws, loosening her body before she growled to Rose "Had your fill of that Dryosaur yet?"

The blind young raptor nodded, standing as she passed her tongue over her lips. She turned her face towards Hazel. "Yes. Just waiting on you; are you sure you're fit to travel?" Concern softened her sightless gaze. "You must be quite tired, to doze off like that."

Before Viridis could reply, Astus' familiar bark sounded rom the treeline. Inculta rose to hs feet, barking a reply as Mwuaji came into view, growling with effort as he dragged a young para by the neck. Behind him were Silver and Astus himself, dragging another. The dominant male padded forward to help Mwuaji with his burden. "Well caught," he praised the hunters. "These will keep everyone fed for a few days." The hatchlings hopped around excitedly, already chirping for their share, as Siri tried to keep them from getting under everyone's feet.

"Dont worry, Im fine" Hazel replied. "I was just resting after the hunt, and catching up on some sleep" She explained before looking to the sound of crashing waves. "Besides, Switchblade isnt too far from here. We should get a move on, before she moves off" Hazel growled, walking to Rose's side.

the predator continued moving, closing in on what he identified as one of the Rexes. the female specifically. for a few moments he considered going all the way and attacking and killing her...but he quickly pushed the thought aside. he had more important things to do...and besides...it'd leave him with another source of entertainment later. to his knowledge, this one wasn't affiliated to his enemy...there were others who were...

"Ah. Aircrest. How's your health?" hissed Fatalis as he emerged from the trees...

Aircrest's head perked up, looking to the source of the voice. He recognized the voice, and when he got glimpse of the raptor's coloring, knew it was the leader of the olive raptor's pack. Come to think of it, he saw the raptor once before, a while back, even before the move to the human island. "Well that explains how he remembered my name..." He thought. "That should be blatantly obvious, Fatty. A pack leader shouldnt waste his breath on such stupid questions" Aircrest growled, purposely sniffling loudly after with a smirk on his face. He improvised the nickname, using what he remembered of the leader's name. He gestured to Sylicora with his snout and added with a bark "Looks like you lost something"

"Careful not to sneeze too hard. you might blow your own brains out" hissed Fatalis with a smirk. "Sylicora?" he growled as he eyed his packmate, a look of conscern in his eyes...

Sylicora stopped and finally looked up from the ground, jerked back out of her thoughts by Fatalis' sudden appearance. She was so distracted, she hadn't picked up the slightest sign that he was approaching, not that she normally could anyway, she reminded herself. Claws once again curled around her wrist, she glanced fleetingly at her leader, looking both surprised and lost at the same time, hissing quietly, with a note of mild confusion, "Uh, hi... Fatalis... I wasn't... expecting to see you here..."
