Fatalis smiled at Sylicora's reaction, growling "First rule of life with me....always expect the unexpected". as if on cue with his words, a terrified squeek was heard from below as a Compy shot out of a bush, trying to run between the two Raptors, only to be pinned down by Fatalis' foot, Fatalis bringing a claw to it's neck and beheading it, before picking the compy up, eying the bush it came from, seeing a Staurikosaurus eying him coldly, before rnning off, having lost it's meal to the bigger predator. "Hungry?" growled the Raptor before pulling one of the Compy's legs off using his free hand to claw the muscles off, holding the mostly intact carcass forward, offering it to Sylicora as he gnawed on the leg he had, the Raptor seeming almost too casual about the odd incident, as if he had already surrendered to the fact that randomness dominated his life...

Aircrest grunted as Fatalis killed the upteenth compy that thought escaping a set of jaws by running towards an even bigger set of jaws was a good idea. "Expect the unexpected...is an over used expression" The green loner rumbled. "The best you can do is abide and react to life. Trying to be on top of everything is a task so impossible, it can shred your very mind" He added with a shrug

"Adaptability is a Loner's most important skill" responded Fatalis, his voice being muffled slightly by the food...

"Just making sure" hissed Fatalis with a smirk...

Enria was growing weary, the only thing she could smell was blood and predators around her. She stopped eating, placed her foot ontop of the kll and bellowed out in rage, she was confused and angry.

"I already had one teacher to test me on things like that, I dont need another. Especially one who's a near complete stranger" Aircrest hissed to Fatalis, though he was not kidding around.

Sylicora blinked, almost smiling at the odd situation. If only she could just forget everything that was still clouding her mind... Even so, she had to admit... it'd been a while since she last ate... "Uh, thanks..." she murmured, reaching out to take the carcass and turning it over in her hands, surveying it for a moment before giving in to the hunger that she'd suddenly noticed for the first time that day. Stripping flesh from its remaining leg, she stood in silence, half-listening to the other raptors, half drifting in thought...

Silverquill started to scamper down the huge drop. He slid down a steeply inclined rock all the way down to the ground.

After walking for a few hours, he stood on the ground contemplating his surroundings. He turned around and-

Whoosh!

A Pteranodon flew straight above his head. He eyed at it for a few seconds, contemplating its color.

"Ay! Where's the rest of your pack?"

The voice was the most deep and gravelly thing he had ever heard in his life. No, not quite. He had heard a voice deeper somewhere, he just couldn't remember...

"They vanished. Dead. Injured. I don't know."

The voice responded, "That's too bad. Cause hunting out here, we're gonna need all the hunters we can get."

Silverquill looked up and saw a big, male raptor, and he could easily tell he was an expert in his field.

The male was battle damaged, bearing the scars of a rough and tough life. He was gray all round with a sort of smaller covering than he had over his own unusual body.

He scampered up to him, and greeted him.

"My name is Ghost. We're gonna be hunting here. Care to join us?"

Shyly, Silverquill managed to hiss out "I've... um, never been on a hunt before."

"Hmmph. Inexperienced, you say? Well you'll be learning from the best."

Indeed, he hadn't seen such a hunter ever before like Ghost. No that was not quite right, he had seen one, even more fearsome than Ghost, He just couldn't push his claw into it-

"Do you accept?"

With a shy grunt, Silverquill nodded. "Yes."

"I'm just messing with you, Aircrest" he growled as he eyed the Raptor. eying Sylicora, he smiled. "You're welcome" he hissed, though there was the faintest hint of conscern in his tone, barely noticable to one untrained to do so...

Aircrest simply grunted in response to that and shrugged, saying nothing. It was funny how things went from somber to light hearted chat. He was glad for that. He wasnt comfortable trying to relate to a raptor he met just a few days ago, her pack leader could handle the situation a lot better than he could. After all, Sylicora did say someone from the could pack helped her brother along. For all they knew, it was Fatalis who was behind that. He hoped his words had an effect for all they were worth, though.

Silverquill walked akwardly with Ghost and the other members of the pack. He couldn't help but wonder what hunts Ghost had been on to acquire such an injury. He was not one to ask though. He continued to walk along with the pack, toe claws clicking the dusty sand beneath their feet.

"So tell me, Silverquill, which pack are you originally from?" asked Ghost.

The voice had caught him off guard. He replied with a blunt hiss at the beginning as he cleared his throat, "I am from pack Ripclaw."

With a grunt, and without a trace of warmth in his voice, he spoke, "Losing your home pack is a bad thing. A very bad thing."

"I can see that..."

Another raptor suddenly popped out from a bend.

Panting, the exhausted thing managed to hiss out, "Leader! The squad has found an Edmontosaur! And he's... huge!"

With a pause between each word, he managed to squeak, "Its the biggest yet seen..."

Ghost's quills suddenly perked up, and he snapped his snout up towards the raptor. "Where?!"

The pack member pointed at an angle to the right.

Ghost thundered towards the bearing, his pack barely being able to keep up with him. As a surprise to Ghost, Silverquill managed to almost keep up with him.

“Ghost! Where are we going?”

“To drop my claws into meat, Silverquill.”

Bloodscale's eyes slowly opened again. What was happening? He couldnt sleep right, the pain in his leg infuriated him, he couldnt stand being crippled like this.

Crusher was less than a kilometer behind and gaining on the Giga, his blood pumping at the prospect of an actual challenge...

"Well as much as I'd like to keep...wandering, I really should be heading off" Aircrest growled some time later, glancing from tree to tree. "Best of luck to you two, and your pack....would one of you be kind enough to point me towards the coast from here?" He added afterwards, looking from Fatalis to Sylicora

Sylicora shot a glance automatically at Fatalis, letting thoughts of the past subside for the moment as she hissed to Aircrest, "Uh... I really couldn't tell you... I'm not familiar with the area... Just came here by chance, really..." she trailed off, wishing she could be more helpful to the raptor who, despite being a near-stranger, had helped her...

"Eh." Aircrest grunted with a shrug. "Nothing you can do about that I guess" He added with a growl, looking up to the branches that stretched out overhead. His eyes narrowed as he pinpointed a limb, priming his legs for the leap. "Ill be taking my leave, you two keep yourselves well. Dont do anything....rash" He barked, shooting Sylicora one last glance before he shot up into the trees, springing off the branch seconds after landing. He was heading higher up into the canopy, intent of getting a bird's eye view and finding his direction from there.

"Head South East! you'll find yourself on the shore in no time!" barked Fatalis as he glanced up at the Raptor, sidestepping a thin strip of bark that was shaken loose from it's precarious perch on several twig-thick branches in the canopy...

By this time, Blackscale was sound asleep deep within her territory, still full from the stego she had taken from the other two Tyrannosaurs. The sounds of the conflict between the other female T-rex from earlier and the Giga were but faint against her ears as she slept in peace. Roughly 20 meters from her was the now mutilated corpse of the Stego she had stolen. Lurker was tearing away at a small scrap of flesh still attached to one of the mammoth sized ribs of the dead creature. He had followed his nose to this kill, and with Blackscale asleep, he could eat what was left...
