The drawing is cool. For some reason, when I saw the spots on his neck frill, I thought he looked like he could be an amphibious creature.

yeah I get the same feeling though I don't think he'd actually be very good at swimming just that he was adapted to being near water

not surprised. he was designed with alot of inspiration drawn from marine life. the spots are based on lionfish patterns. his lowers pair of horns, the pair that form his ears, are based off conch shells. his chest scales, now that i think of it, resembles seahorse chests to a degree

he also likes the water alot. he can swim fairly well. surprisingly fast considering his size and structure. the patterns all across his body, runeic or natural, are bioluminscent, like deep sea fish.

as a side note, there is a very large amount of detail in this dragon. look carefully. you might find things there that you didn't notice first time around....

yes I'll admit he does look very much like an aquadic creature but when I look at his feet and talons they look more like a mountain based dragon thats idept at catching something on the fly maybe he lives by a cliff off of the sea or a lake

glad you think so. currently digitalising it. this will be my first digital picture [though i may put it on hold in favour of a simpler pic for TT as practice...either way, i estimate a couple of weeks or so before it's done], and i intend to save the various stages so i can come back in the future when i've gained more experience in it. if they end up being successful, i may eventually proceed to do a full series of digital rank pics for the site. that may or may not coincide with a change of rank names as well...but that'll depend on popular opinion and staff consensus...

The detail is amazing in the picture, KP. I agree that it gives out an aquatic feel to the dragon.

Septimus is gonna take a while to finish. so in the mean time, i thought i'd show you guys [specifically the FRPG players] what my character Andruil's sword, the Gladaman'tair, looks like.
Image

still a work in progress, but that's what's been done so far. further digitalisation will be done over the course of the next few days. if i'm lucky, i'll probably be able to finish it in a couple of days or so....provided the Laziness Virus doesn't strike me....again...

Reminds me of an elven longsword form LotR. Your inspiration I'd assume?

the grip is based off Sting, Frodo's short sword/dagger. but the rest is just taking the theme and applying it to my own design.

Cool. I think it came out good, but the sword looks a bit short to me when I examine it closer.

it's based more on a falchion than a long sword. though i think the reason it looks short is because of the extension of the hilt over the bottom of the blade [it has a functional purpose, but I'd prefer to keep that as a surprise for when the time comes to use it]. imagining the blade without it shows you it's actual length. this blade is designed to be devastating at close range, and capable of holding an enemy at a moderate distance if needed.

That sword... I MUST possess it! TIS MINE!

Anyway, it looks very nice, KP. For a second, I thought that thing was real... 10/10.

Considering the current events in FRPG, i thought i'd give you guys a look at Septimus' dad Arashi. the Dragon currently duking it out with UR's 'Huergah'
