The ships moved further through hyper-space, soon reaching where they picke dup the signal of the beacon before flying towards the planet itself. A rocket crashed into the vanguard's back, the projectile coming from one of the first merchant ships to reach the planet as Dyaln crawled towards a crate of weapons...

Geero snarled as the Vanguard was vaporized by the rocket, even if the explosion caught several merchants in the blast. "D*mmit, they brought reinforcements!" Everyone back inside, now!" Geero scampered back into the facility, the rest of the Eclipse mercs scattering and falling back inside as well. Their ships wouldn't do anything to them now. They'd have to go in and get them...

About two dozen extra ships erupted from the clouds, all of which had landed around the area Dylan, Jessica and the merchants were at. Dylan brought himself to his feet, watching as the dead mercenary with the flamethrower had his weapon removed by a fellow man, as squads of up to 8 merchants each gave Dylan's group a huge amount of reinforcements...

OOC: The Vanguard killed the flamethrower merchant...

Geero herded his men inside, through the initial, crate-clogged corridor. As he did so, they dutifully unlocked the tall crates, but did nothing else, leaving them closed...

OOC: Fixed it.

Dylan leaned against a shut crate of weapons, before saying, "ok, get ready to assault that base, guys. We're going to need a lot of fire power to bring it down, so I want some of you to take rocket launchers with the group! The rest of you, rifles or shotguns, got it?" The merchants nodded as most swamred back to the ships to get the weapons Dylan had requested, the group preparing to go attack the facility...

Jessica gets ready as well for the attack, having managed to get in cover in the last encounter......

The door into the abandoned mining facility was unlocked, but not open, waiting to be used again. No Eclipse mercs were nearby...

As everyone finished preparing, the ships cloaked while Dylan said, "Ok, let's go." Everyone began moving, a few aiming their rocket launchers at the mining facility's door, the rest soon stopping behind the merchants...

Nothing moved near the door of the mining facility, which projected a green, holographic rectangle from its center, obviously meaning it was unlocked...

Jessica raises her rifle up, cautiously approaching the door. "Hmm..... this doesn't seem right......."

Despite noticing the door was unlocked, Dylan commanded the ones with the rocket launchers, "fire! Bring that door down!" The merchants nodded and fired their weapons, blowing the door down like it was nothing, before everyone charged to the facility. The mercenaries that weld the rockets swapped them out for rifles and shotguns, sticking close behind everyone else...

The door now had a large hole blown into it, but was otherwise undamaged. It was big enough for the mercs to walk in, but only one at a time. The room beyond was a long, narrow corridor made even more cramped by the tall crates lined up along each side of the hallway. Only two people could stand abreast in the narrow confines. At the opposite end of the hall, which was about 50 feet in length, was another unlocked door...

Jessica, seeing that her rifle wouldn't be of such use in such close quarters, holsters her trusty weapon and draws her dual pistols. She says aloud as she enters as sees how narrow the hall is an the door at the end of the hall, "Maybe we should just open the other door manually? The mercenaries rpobably can hear the rockets......"

"We're out of ammo for the rocket launchers anyways," one merchant replied, climbing through the hole soon after, his shotgun at the ready. A few more followed, one at a time, including an engineer, who could easily hack around places if needed...

Captain Morleon watched the action through a security camera situated above the hallway, twiddling the gold necklace absently between his fingers. "This had better work, Geero," he muttered to himself, "Or it's your head..."

Jessica nods. Hopefully, they can win without having to fight too many mercs, or else this could become a death trap......

As more of thge mercenaries moved into the building, the lead one halted them by raising his hand, before glancing up at the ceiling. Soon, he noticed a camera up there, and blasted at it with a shotgun, partially to try and destroy it, the other reason to get the enemy mercs to come out...

Jessica stops as well, and sees the lead one shoot the camera. She was surprised..... she hadn't noticed it. But, now was nto the time to worry about things like that; they were on the verge of combat, and they all knew it...

The camera was damaged, but it was far enough away from the shotgun blast that it wasn't destroyed. Nevertheless, the trap was sprung. A shield appeared over the hole in the door behind the merchants, sealing them inside. At the same time, Morleon's voice came in over the facility's PA system: "I don't know who the hell you think you are, but you're not leaving this place alive!" As he said this, every crate along both walls opened, their tops sliding back and away from the boxes. From each crate emerged a LOKI mech, all of them armed with Shuriken machine pistols, and all of them pointing their weapons at the trapped merchants. They all opened fire at once from their protected positions, showering their unprotected targets with bullets, as if shooting fish in a barrel...

The few who were still outside when the shield covered the hole watched as some of the many merchants were killed, but the rest returned fire, blasting the mechs with shotgun shells and rifle rounds. One outside began contacting the waiting pilots, saying, "get those ships in the sky, and blow this door down!"
