Aviva let out a soft hiss. "He would kill his own flesh and blood, simply because you couldn't use magic?" she growled. "Were it not for the fact that this battle isn't mine to fight, I'd tear out his throat myself." The assassin ran a calming hand over her shoulder.'And now?' Arsenic asked, cocking his head to one side and giving the newcomer a wary look. 'Do you feel you'll be ready to face him when the time comes?'

"Ah, Tetto'eko. nice to see you found your way here. This is Aviva and Arsenic" he rumbled as he gestured to the two. "Once things finally settled and i prepared to leave, One of the elders on my mother's side led me aside on my way to the exit from the caverns, and led me to a side chamber. he cast the runes on my arms, and said 'Make sure you live to prove him wrong'. I do not intend to waste the opportunity. his gift enhanced my ability to store mana until my own reserves grew sufficiently. I'm now....a lot more capable than the day i was exiled. Not quite the Master Elendir, but still" rumbled Septimus with a smirk as his eyes glowed, two narrow pillars of water bursting up from the river on either side of him, curving before his face and trickling into his throat, before splashing against the ground as he cut off the magic. "At the very least i can probably hold my own against a mage or warrior that seeks me out. In time, i will eventually become powerful enough to face my father. And i have no doubt that even now, i have knowledge he never even dreamed of"...

"A pleasure to meet you both," Tetto'eko said with a polite dip of his head. As Septimus continued, he turned his attention to the opposite bank of the river. His crest stiffened and subtly shifted from blue to red as a hooded figure emerged from the forest on the other side, carrying a large wooden bucket. The figure was as tall as a man, but its features were obscured by its hooded robe. The man--if it was indeed a man--moved silently and cautiously towards the water, but seemed very nervous to get near it. It crouched down, quickly scooping some water into the bucket, before glancing up at the figures on the other side of the river. Tetto'eko caught a glimpse of clawed hands and a curved beak before the creature turned and hurried away, back into the woods, with the bucket of water...

Bubba, Shubba, and Lubba head deepr into the forest, staying low. Bubba says, "We gonn' take down sometin' a but bigga taday, boys!" "How much bigga?" Lubba says. "VERY big," Bubba says as he smiles. Shubba chuckles sadistically. "We'll be eatin fa months!" Bubba shouts. The brothers nvoe along deeper into the forest....

Shezz sits in his shop, somewhat bored as he waits for both more customers and the arrival of Kubba for when they'd begin to prove his brother's wrong...

Kubba grows bored and decides to visit Shezz in his shop. Goblins do their manual labor outside as he does this....

Shezz pulls out a small silver coin while he waits and begins flipping it around in the air, a tired and bored expression on the goblin's face as he does so...

A knock is heard at Shezz's door. "Let me in may you, Shezz?"

Shezz drops the coin and leaps over the table that made up a counter for his shop, before grabbing the door and opening it for his friend to come in. "Kubba! Welcome, and have brothers returned yet?"

"No," Kubba says. "Plan they did to be gone for while I think."

"Oh, so what new thing does friend have to speak of?" Shezz asks Kubba while moving away from the door-way so his friend could come in to his home...

Kubba enters his friend's home. "Ntohing much.... but study horn I have...... alas, no one there is to ask what it is......."

"Me think me remember where I had heard of such beast with single horn," Shezz replied, remembering the horn Kubba had shown him yesterday. "Yes yes, it is coming back. Said horn belongs to horse-like creature travellers call a, 'unicorn'," the goblin said, recalling how his father had told him the name of the animal, along with many others...

"Unicorn?" Kubba says. "Rare these days, aren't they? Them and Basilisks hardly seen they are in the forest these days....."

Shezz nods in agreement, before remembering something and leaps back behind the table diving the room the two were in, before he comes back out with a book. "This book tell all about every recorded creature around home," the goblin said, before handing it to Kubba so he could take a look at it...

Kubba reads the cover. "Bestiary of the Great Forest and beyond" was its title. Kubba opens it up and looks in it. Kubba points to a picture of an ape like creature with three eye sockets. It was listed on a page with a huge, scaly humanoid beast and a paler, more upright one with a satchel at its side. "Hmmm....... trolls they say these things are...."

"Me think it is possible descendant," Shezz replied, reading the details of everything shown on each page...

"Descendent of what?" Kubba says.

"Of troll, or other beast," Shezz responded, seeing nearly the same features of a troll on the creature being depicted on the page...

"Possible," Kubba says. "Creature it is you looking at?"
