Further downstream, the river widened, deepened and slowed, giving a smoother surface....and easier sight of the fish beneath the surface. Septimus descended from high above, gaining speed rapidly before angling his wings, redirecting his momentum to power him forward, giving him the speed needed to catch the fish before they had a chance to escape. the Dragon let his claws dip in the water, moving along the surface for several seconds before a fairly large fish was skewered on his talons, roughly 2/3 the size of a grown man, the Dragon suddenly beating his wings powerfully, heaving himself and the prize back up as he banked to one side, turning back towards the treeline as he rounded back towards where the others were...

Walking away from the river brought Desrium to a place where the ground was a gentle slope, rising still. The trees and bushes were spaced out in this part of the forest, a healthy cover of grass occupying the free space. The tree bark in this neck of the woods were a dull red color with vines sprialling down their trunks. The area was noticably darker because of the thick tree tops over head, blocking most of the sunlight, which explained the light vegetation. He constantly saw fast moving shapes shooting back and fourth overhead. Birds, and a lot of them too, all making the canopy of the red-trunks home. They didnt make any noise, strangely enough. They didnt tweet and chirp like all the others did, which made this part of the forest relatively quiet, which Desrium didnt mind at all. He walked over to one of the trees, removing his sheathe from his back. He then sat down amongst the roots, bracing the sheathe against the bark. The armored being almost blended into the shadows with his dark colored plates. The only things that really stood out about him in the darkness were his eyes

Uriel watched them go with the same curious look, confused as to why everyone was leaving. As they disappeared, his gaze turned to the only remaining being beside himself, staring at Tetto'eko with wide eyes.

it wasn't long before the thumping of wings grew close once again, Septimus descending towards the spot they had been assembled at, only to find that Aviva and Arsenic were gone. as he neared the ground he dropped the fish in front of the black Dragon, before setting down on all fours...

Tetto'eko looked up at Spetimus as he returned. "My thanks for the warning, by the way," he said sarcastically.

"Apologies. I told you that i would accompany you while travelling. I don't turn my back on my word" rumbled Septimus as he eyed the skink...

Tetto'eko chuckled. "Of course, of course. I would just appreciate a warning before you fly off..."

Uriel looked from the fish to Septimus, as if making sure it was for him. After a few seconds of no one claiming it, the dragon dug in hungrily...

The two unicorns finally halted at the river. Serenity immediately lowered her head to the water and started to drink her fill. She was grateful that she found a water source. The water sent a warmth throughout her body. It made her calm, and happy. "Revion, this is good," she nickered happily to her companion before dipping her mouth in for a second gulp.

Revion skidded to a halt at the bank and also dunk his mouth into the water, feeling the thirst on his tongue. He drank fast, trying to get every last sip of water. He realized just how thirst he truly was. "I agree...this is good," he replied. In the back of his mind, he was wondering about that two legged being they met in the forest. "That thing was a charming fellow, he commented, after drinking his fill. "Shame he did not come with us."

Serenity snorted. "You trust others too easily. Have you not learned from the elders? We have to be careful with who we trust." When she was done drinking her fill, she walked a few steps away from the bank and laid down in the soft grass. "At least we found something to drink."

"He did no harm to me," Revion stated. "It is a shame that it does not understand us, either." The black unicorn laid down next to the bank. "I do hope that we run into the thing again."

"Our friend here was exhausted. i could see it in his face. he needed rest, and food. And after his engagement of that attacker, i think the least we could do is provide him with a meal. were it not for the risk of a second one attacking you, Aviva and Arsenic in my absence, i would've joined in. But as fate may have it, that risk existed" hissed Septimus as he sat back, pulling a book from one of his travelling satchels, opening it up and reading it...

"Understandable," Tetto'eko replied. "Still, telling one what you are up to is most convenient." The Skink Priest sat down next to the riverbank. "Ah, what do I know? I am old, and I know little of this place. Whose to say that etiquette is different in here?"

The child shrugs. "Why not. I don't have a family anyways."

As the two Ra'zac approach the castle's doors, the two guards cross pikes to prevent the two from passing.

"Ok, just climb up on my back, and hang on tight," Ikargu replied, lowering himself so the child could climb up onto the ice dragon...

Ikargu nodded and soon began to flap his wings, slowly ascending from the ground and soon reached a good height for flying. The ice dragon than took off in a burst of speed, somewhat quickly flying over the kingdom as he flew towards the mountain range that was his home...

The child held on tightly, the wind distracting her slightly.

Ikargu quickly began slowing himself down until the rate at which his was moving seemed to make the wind calm greatly. "Sorry about that," the ice dragon had soon replied telepathically as he flew over the lands beyond the kingdom itself...

"It's fine," the child says. She looks down and sees all the wild hippogryphs wandering in the fields below, the giant trees that towered above the ground in the nearby "great forest", the mountains in the distance..... "It's so beautiful," she says with a smile on her face.

Ikargu slightly nodded in agreement, before asking, "would you like to see the valley within the mountain range over there?"
