"You, in fact, did not," Deka said, somewhat icily, before continuing, "However, it is not my intention to take anything, only to examine them," he finished. At least, for the moment, he thought, smirking...

"The talisman is not yours to examine," Draco says. "You may examine the Eye of Greshlynk in the temple in the town square."

Ikargu stayed silent as he continued on flying, not knowing what to say at this exact moment to make Sarah feel any better...

After a while of companionable silence, Arsenic asked, 'Where were you planing to go after this, if you don't mind my asking?'

"Honestly? absolutely no idea. All I know is that I've had it with my former life. pledging absolute dedication and loyalty to something or someone and then losing said object or person with no way of intervening or recovering it....it takes too much out of you. I'm not prepared to go through that kind of pain again. I hate being beaten by something I can't strike with a blade. and so long as I serve as a Knight for such a politically influential person as the King of Valenhad, I will always be vulnerable to a position like that" said Andruil, Furax, the Bay stallion, snorting, as if agreeing with him...

Deka nodded. He didn't want to push anything too far, at this point.
He exited out of the room, slipping back down the hallway and disappearing into the shadows...

Arsenic mulled that over for a bit before saying slowly, 'I don't think Vix would mind if you wanted to stay with our guild for a while. Whether or not you'd want to join would be up to you; and of course should you choose to leave, no one would force you to stay.'

"Life as an assassin, eh?" said Andruil, contemplating the idea. "If they consider morality in their business so seriously then perhaps" he commented. he stiffled a chuckle at the thought. "Becoming the very thing that drove me from my previous profession...ironic" he added...

The crow hopped into the chamber just as the shade left, head twitching from side to side as it moved further inward, staring quizzically at those around it...

Once Desrium got his breath back, he decided he'd head towards a settlement off in the distance nestled in a deep, grassy valley. One one side of the gulch was the edge of the forest he had just left, the tall trees and bushes stopping suddenly at a 10 foot drop. On the other side were hills, with the peaks of mountains visable behind them. Thin clouds rolled past the top of the rocky titans. The mountain range wrapped around the area in a rough U shape. Down by the settlement was a shimmering lake. Behind that was another expanse of trees. He started to walk down the gentle incline towards the valley town, wondering what he could do there.

The Ra'zac mutely watched the Shade leave, eyeing the crow curiously, but saying nothing, letting Draco handle the situation...

Draco eyed the shade as it left before he says to the Ra'zac, "So? Call up your master. I wish to speak with him."

"He issss already here," the male Ra'zac hissed, waving a hand at the shadows near Draco. They seemed to waver for a moment, before a tall, humanoid figure made of purple-black darkness, similar to Deka, emerged, staring at Draco with a featureless head, except for a pair of white dots for eyes. "Prince Draco. How good to see you."

Draco smiles. "It is KING Draco now, Zazikel," the man says as he walks a bit closer to the being. "What do you require of Draxon, my ally?"

The shadow-creature that was Zazikel circled Draco slowly, as if thinking. "Well, I have been given a opportunity, with this powerful new host body, to take control of Aster for reasons I do not wish you to know. However, I cannot do that on my own. I need allies, those who are willing to fight alongside me when the time comes, and become my servants instead of my victims when this place belongs to me. You, Draco, fit the bill, so to speak. Your armies are powerful, and you will have much influence now that you are king."

Draco says, "I will aid in your 'conquest', but, of course, I will need to keep some of the land for my people as well. And, if your minions have told you, the elves are to be eliminated."

"Of course, of course," Zazikel replied, stopping his circling and turning to stare at Draco. "The elves will be of little use to me anyway, and land should be easy to find when most of Aster's rebellious populace is annihilated."

"Then we are set," the new king says to the demonic dragon. "When shall my army march out?"

"Patience, Draco," Zazikel replied. "You must first establish your new rule over this city. I have other allies to find, other forces to bend to my will, obstacles to destroy. Taking this whole blasted island will take time. Fortunately, time is on our side."
