"Andruil!" called a voice at the entrance to the village, on the road, a man in dark grey robes, a grey and blue shield with the golden Valenhad coat of arms adorning it, on his back, walking out. behind him were 10 other soldiers in chainmail armour, 6 of them armed with longswords and shields, two of them wearing plate armour and armed with large double ended battle axes, and another two armed with long silvery longbows. behind them were 15 men in common clothing, and a pair of carts towed by large black bulls, long, forward curving horns on their heads. the carts were filled with supplies, ranging from rope, wood and metal building pegs and nails, to things like food and water. "Dervin! cousin! it's been too long!" responded Andruil as he walked over, the men greeting eachother with a shake of the hand and a pat on the back, Dervin looking at the damage as the carts rolled into the village and parked themselves wherever was convenient, the men accompanying him immediately getting to work. "Alexander sent me as soon as he got word" said Dervin. "You should've seen his face when he read what you had written. he was barking orders like he was in the middle of a war! Had us mobilising and at the gates less than an hour after the message reached him" he continued. "Wow. Didn't think that was possible. Has he moved to inform our allies?" asked Andruil. Dervin nodded. "He was already writing letters by the time I had left his office. they're probably already at their destinations" responded Dervin. "Good. This Demon is irritable and quick to take action. We'll need to be ready when the time comes" said Andruil. glancing at Vix and Arsenic, he nodded to them. "Vix, Arsenic. This is Dervin Lyall. My cousin, and a fellow Silver Order Knight. Dervin, These are-" began Andruil, though not getting to finish his sentence. Shiryaz began to make a warning 'snarl' towards the edge of the village, Andruil glancing at his blade, noticing the runes glowing faintly. "It seems introductions will have to wait" he said, drawing his sword as he strode in the direction of the threat, Shiryaz taking to the air, rising high above the clearing, Dervin and the Valenhad soldiers drawing their weapons...
Septimus smiled to the greeting. he nodded respectfully to the King. "Well I must say this is a better greeting than I received in Germania, that's for sure.....Well, marginally. At least there's slightly less fear of me eating the King here. Tell your men they can lay down their arms. If I were here to harm anyone i'd've done so before I landed" explained the Dragon. "My name is Septimus....And I am a scholar. I've come here because I've heard that Draxon is a powerful Kingdom. Such power cannot be gained in ignorance, so I'm assuming you have some libraries. places of knowledge and wisdom. I wish to be granted entry to these places, to further my quest for knowledge. Would you grant me that request? or deny it?"...
Meanwhile, in the market district of Germania's capital, a hooded man walked, his cloak dusty and ragged, an old leather satchel on his back as he walked towards a nearby tavern, tired from his long travel across several nations, and eager to rest his legs and his eyes. even a disciple needed to rest from time to time...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
