The door opened slightly a few moments later, one of Syria's eyes visable as she peeked outside. Seeing Desrium, she opened the door fully. "So you were caught in that, huh?" She said, looking over his shoulder and to the rain running off the awning. "I hope you didnt have a hard time." Before she could have said anything else, Desrium said "I got what you wanted." He slipped the bag of his shoulder and held it at his side. It was dark in some places where the rain got to it. Syria could see the leaves in the bag and she smiled. "Good to see that the weather didnt deter you."
"I was too far in to turn back" Desrium said matter of factly. It was true. Before he gave the bag to Syria, he took his room key out from one of the pockets, hanging it on a shoulder spike again. He then slipped the compass off of his neck and handed it to Syria, along with the bag. She raised an eyebrow at the key, but didnt say anything. What was she to expect? The stranger didnt have any bags and his armor certainly didnt have pockets. "How strange..." She thought. "A traveller with nary a pouch to carry his items. Its almost too strange to believe, but Im looking at one right infront of me." She walked back to her desk and rested the bag on it before moving deeper into the inn. Desrium stared after her, not entirely sure if it was ok to step inside or not. He looked back to Perioul, seeing the lizard go lie on his side and tuck his limbs in. He glanced at Desrium before closing his eyes. Desrium forward again when he heard Syria returning, a white towel in her hands. "Your soaking wet!" She said as she handed the towel to him. "Dry yourself off as best as you can. Ill go start a fire in your room so you can warm up"
"That wont be ness-" Desrium began to say, but by then she already turned around and was headed for the stairs. He fell silent, looking away from Syria when she started heading upstairs to the towel. His eyes glowed as he stared at the cloth for a few moments before he knew what it was for; and even after that, the most he did with it was drop it on the floor and dried the bottom of his metal feet. He picked it back up when he was finished and stepped into the inn, shutting the door behind him. Perioul's eyes half opened at the dull thump the door made when it closed, but the lizard quickly returned to his rest. Desrium put the cloth down on Syria's desk and started to walk past the stairs. He wandered to the next room, the door half closed. Cautiously, he pushed gently on it, opening it slowly and seeing what was behind it. Shelves lined with many hard backed books greeted him, with all sorts of strange titles running along the spines. A large book with the title 'Zuppoland: Legends, Lore, Facts & History' seemed strangly....familiar. Why was that? "Another question without an answer" Desrium thought with a sigh. So this was the library Syria was talking about. Curious, he stepped inside...

The jolly innkeeper laughed in response. "Do not worry, man. A guest here is to be treated with th eupmost respect, including you! TO be honest, your one of the few guests we've recieved. Far few too many people decide to not come to inns liek this and perfer to just head off to other cities in Germania to get rest. Come on, enjoy the food we bring to you!" the innkeeper laughed, as he placed down the bowl of soup, the bread slice on the bowl of soup, and the glass of water on the main table in the room, before turning to leave...

The small female turned to the other flock, before sighing the best a large bat like her could. "Ummm... why did you, um, save us from that other flock?" one of the males snarled. "The flock that was harrasing you guys have gotten hubris ideas that they are the ones that rule this place. THey only allowed a few certain other flocks to come here, myself included. I hated how they were preventing other flocks from nesting here, and when I saw you guys under attack from them... I just snapped. By the way, why is a flock like you guys doing here? The mating seasion is over, and msot of the flocks here have left for their normal hunting grounds..." the small female hissed...

The gryphon masters head towards the forest, before one asks: "Wait.... what's the traitor look like?" "I don't know. I'm just gonna shoot someone and fly back. This is a stupid job." "Do you think we can find that elf?" "Doubt it." The gryphon masters fly along....

The other set continue towards Germania, passing over the landscape at a decent speed...

The wildmen told Cornelious the signal they would respond to and quickly left, Cornelious then moved forward with Trajan to make his way to the idol and to meet with the Pope concerning the corruption in the church. "Tell me Trajan, are the rumors true... is Jeetis dead?" asked Cornelious when he reached Trajan. "If so, then who is his sucsessor?" he asked again before Trajan could answer.

"You're going to need to be a bit more specific than that, priest" rumbled Septimus. he obviously wasn't an adequate teacher. he spoke of transformation as simply as some people spoke of changing clothes. a result of being able to do so himself for as long as he could remember, no doubt. Septimus knew better than to risk going through with this however. one of his mother's siblings attempted to transform into a different form without being specific, and he had to live with a tiny Eagle wing in place of one of his massive draconic wings for almost 3 months while healing specialists amongst their kind worked tirelessly to repair the damage. and even then, there were still feather tufts poking out of some spots along the repaired wing. there was no way Septimus would risk that happening to him here...

"Before you go....I would like to know...why do people leave this place and go elsewhere?" asked the disciple calmly as he eyed the man...

Trajan looked at Cornelious, a small tear coming down his face as he remembered seeing his old friend dead that morning. "Yes... Jeetis is dead. He was killed by a servant two days ago. His successor is his daughter, Dione. However, training her to become the new pope has been rather... troublesome." Trajan said. He knew that Dione didn't like just how rigid the system was, but someone had to become the new pope. Also, trajan feared that some of the bishops and cardinals, those that would naturally rise to the position of the Pope if the former one had died, were corrupt with greed and sinful lusts. Hence, Dione was the better of the two options...

"The reason why most people perfer to go elsewhere than stay here is... well, they hear bad rumors about this place that aren't true, such as the soup one drinks here will drive them insane, or I'm actually a bloodthirsty lizard in the shape of a human... all shorts of complete nonsense. However, those rumors started when we first opened up. We had quite a few guests come to stya during our opening, but then..." the innkeeper said, th etone of his voice having rapidly shifted to a serious one, no longer filled with joy. He didn't turn to face the disciple, but kept his back to him, not wanting him to see the red beginning to spread across his face... the rage that he had...

The male Gandiors wispered amongst each other, before one of them finally answered the female. "Well, our old leader was killed just recently by a human with strange powers. It was supposed to be just a standard raid, but... when we saw her slain, we bolted out of there. That town the humans called Susano... was where she had been killed... We came ehre in search of a new leader." the male hissed. The 'small' female listened intenatively, before landing ontop of a large rocky outcrop 30 or so feet away. "In that case, you came to the right place. I myself have been looking for a flock to join, but they all have their own leaders. I'll be your new leader." the female crackled, spreading her wings apart, displaying the saphire coloration on the bottom of her wings. The males once again huddled together in mid-air and began to wisper with each other. If they were to accept this female, then they could finally coordinate their movements properly... but in Gandior society, the larger females command the more respect... and with such a small female leading them...

The priest says, "Alright.... I'd assume that you know how to channel your energies, yes?"

The gryphon masters soar through the air, the winds growing cold, and the mountains passing by under them. The edge of the forest was visible off in the distance, and the two riders began to head over there...

The other two gryphon riders head deeper into the forest, watching the ground carefully...

it wasn't long before a second caravan arrived at the village, this one made up of several larger carts and rolling platforms, pulled by large beasts of burden resembling bulls but with 4 curving, flattened horns instead of two conical ones, each cart pulled by two of them. on the platforms were large wooden cranes, intended to be used to assemble the village's new defences. with these cranes came teams of engineers and operators, sent to maintain the equipment and to plot and oversee the reconstruction of the village...

"Well, I'd be incapable of that demonstration earlier if I wasn't, wouldn't I?" growled Septimus...

"....Then....?" asked the disciple curiously as he sat cross legged on the ground, placing the tray with the food in front of him and setting his satchel aside, producing a small vial of amber liquid almost similar to honey in both consistency and colour, twisting the cap off of it...

The priest says, "Okay, it is similar to using your elemental powers, but you must transfer the magic to your mind. Focus, choose carefully, try and control the energy as it spreads throughout your body...... or, at least, that's how my tutor taught me. If you cannot do it, you may need to find a more.... qualified teacher, if you know what I mean."

"No teacher can make the impossible possible, friend. My family have tried for millenia to unlock the art of transformation. In the end we discovered that it was a trait limited by bloodline. My grandmother's bloodline is incapable of transforming. Therefore, so am I. That does not prevent us from morphing other objects however...But unfortunately i lack the power to do anything significant. transforming a horse into a lion, for example. a mouse to a toad or bird to a bat however, is within my reach, were I to practice" he rumbled. and with that he turned towards the door. "I would like to see this Avatar of Greshlynk, however. it occurs to me that perhaps one of his own kin may be able to learn more than you have achieved thusfar" he growled...

Darius sat on the throne, surrounded by the rows of seated Elders.

"This morning, you all proposed that the newly fromed royal blood of the New Germania Republic made commen."
Obviously angered by this, Darius continued speaking, "How then, are we to rule over the masses? They look to us for guideance, inspiration, and leadership. But most of all, freedom. Did we not all leave Germania to have this happen again. We left because we were tired of being called heritics, madmen, and recluses. We left because we were tired of the OPRESSION OF THE POPE! He has no right to command the king, and through him the army, and even us. He is supposedly a 'man of God', but what man of God would exploit his people every time he was given the chance, and cast out all those who opposed him. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I BELIVE I SHOULD RULE OVER THE PEOPLE OF NEW GERMANIA! I LEAD YOU ALL FROM THAT LAND, AND WILL SHELTER YOU ALL FROM ANY THREATS, DOMESTIC OR FOREIGN!"

The king sat silently, awaiting the elders response.

"We will consider this in our decision, but ultimately, the people will decide.", voiced the Minister of Public.

..."then, we got a most strange visitor, one whom I couldn't tell if it were a guy or a girl. It wore a hood over it's head, obscuringit from our vision, and had on a pitch black robe, covering it completely. In it's right hand it had a staff with a red orb in th ecenter. The figure had paid us several golden coins, then went to it's room." The innkeeper rasped, the horrid images o what happened after that flashing through his mind at a ravenous rate. "That night, a fire broke out in the room where the guest had stayed. We managed to douse the flames, but when we were inspecting the room for what had caused the flames, we found two bodies... THey were identified as two of the most prominent noblemen here in Tristan who were staying here for the night..."

"What is this? I am your king you do not deci-" Darius was interrupted as Commander Alexander Nefarius, flanked by twelve soliders of the republic burst into the room, the massive doors, ornate with bronze and gold, toppling to the floor.

Alexander took three steps forward, and began to speak,

"DARIUS! I, on behalf of the people of the New Republic of Germania, demand you stand down, as rulling monarch, and hand all power over to the Tribunal!"

Darius, outraged, stood and look quizically at the man, then spoke up, "You 'demand' I step down? None of you have power over me! So how dare you come into my kingdom and speak such madness to ME!"

Alexander took another step toward the king, his troops slowly walking forwards with him.

"My lord, if you will not step down and let the people rule themselves, I will take action, FOR WHAT OTHER REASON, DO WE CALL OURSELVES A REPUBLIC!"

A cheer rose from the assorted Elders.

The priest nods. "He will come. Stand before the alter and speak within your mind to him, and he will come, my dragon friend."

The gryphon masters soon see the edges of Germania at the distance, flying faster now to reach Tristan....

The other riders soon circle from above to find their target....

Cornelious had become slightly detached from his feelings over the years but learning of the trajady that had befell Jeetis stirred an extreme amount of saddness and a bit of respect for Dione for assuming the role of Pope. In his mind no one else was qualified in the ranks of the Church to become Pope despite the... complications. "I am sorry, lets stay in the present and make our way to the Castle and meet with Dione I wish to give my condolences as well as aid you with what I know," replied Cornelious hiding his emotions but still quite noticably distraught by the news.

Meanwhile:
"Sir we have made it," cried a soldier in joy and triumph. Lokar smiled after climbing over the hill just before the main entrance to Dropneer. Lesser men ran forward crying and shouting and laughing as their families ran to meet them and welcome them home. A large crowd had formed when the watchtower had cried of the Wagontrain's return. When the people saw the bounty cheers and praise filled the air. Children ran alongside Lokar on his warhorse smiling and laughing with them. When the Wagontrain entered the town and started to unload goods and supplies people began taking it to storehouses, live farm animals to the pastures, and treasure to the grand smithy to melt down the precious metals into Northmen currency, weapons and armor, or other purposes depending on the material and what might be needed. Lokar dismounted and breathed in deeply. "My people, I come home victorious! I have liberated these resources from those that have a bounty of supplies and do not live in these frozen wastes! Once again I give these goods free of charge to the people, who need them the most tonight a celebration will be held to comemorate an easy raid with minimal lives lost of Brave Northmen!" Cried Lokar in a unprepared speech to the people. Everyone cried in jubilation and hailed Lokar as a Hero, and immedetly the Hill Castle was prepared for the Grand party. Everyone was invited except for the tribesmen who went back to their families and celebrated amoungest their kin and mourned the death of their friends, loved ones, or merely their next door neighbor. They had felt the brunt of the losses, taking the walls and laying down their lives so their families could remain on their modest plot of land at the threat of lethal eviction.

"Yes... That would be the best thing to do as of now..." Trajan replied as he began to head off toward the castle entrance, walking just slow enough to allow Cornelious to catch up to him.

By this point, Dione had begrudgingly gotten out of bed and has dressed herself. What she wore was the standard Pope attire, for wearing it was what was necessary for her Pope Training to be done well, or so that was what the bishops and cardinals had told her. The girl looked at herself in the mirror, her hair once again a horribly tangled mess. She yawned, before heading toward the door that led to the stairs. The sooner this Pope Training was over, the better...

Finally, the male Gandiors had finished their hushed hisses and grunts, before their spokesmanflew out away from the main flock and toward the blue female. " It has been decided. You seem to be the most capable female in this area to lead this flock, so go on ahead. WHat you order, we will do." the gandior crackled. The female stared at him, then at the rest of the flock for a few seconds, before finally responding. "Good. The name's Redeath, in case your wondering." the female squaked in return, before she flew off, heading away from the spires and the mining town, and toward where her nose told her to go. The males, not having the chance to ask her why her name's Redeath, followed her, having gotten the leader to lead them that they ahd been seeking...

the rider slowed from a flat out gallop to a stop at the entrance of the Tristan Royal Palace. "I have an express letter for his Majesty King Trajan" said the man to the guards...

Septimus eyed the priest sceptically, though interested. the Dragon walked towards the alter, his mind's voice speaking out. Well then Greshlynk...Care to grace me with the benefit of a few shared words? echoed Septimus' rumbling voice within his own mind...
