Maxwell nods. "What should we do? I'm not attacking Barnes.... I still kinda respect him... but that Dodgson character needs to start singing for the good of all of us....."

"I'll deal with Barnes, than you and... him!" Riley partially answered, pointing at Rick while continuing, "will make Dodgson spill out ALL the details of what's gong on. First though, we gotta convince him to help..."

Maxwell nods. "You talk to-em. I'm no good at negotiating."

"Ok, than you'll distract Barnes. I'll get that other guy to come help me," Riley replied and walked over to Rick before whsipering to him, "hey, buddy? Mind helping me out with something real quickly?"

Rick looked at Riley and said:"What do you need help with?

Maxwell walks over to barnes. "So... any news of what we are to do about this situation?"

"Just wanted to know if you'll help me get that Dodgson character to tell us what's been going on here-you know, before any more of those beasts attack us..."

[Iceking]

Rick's eyes narrowed slightly and he said:"Barnes is over there with Dodgson and as I made my way to them, I could hear them talking. Just let Barnes handle Dodgson, though if you want to get your answer from Dodgson, you could have a word with Barnes about doing so."

"Maxwell has Barnes occupied already, and Dodgson will need to be forced to speak right now, 'cause our superior won't give him a chance to talk until AFTER we get back to the chopper," Riley continued on. He added, "and I won't be able to flush the information out on my own..."

Barnes looked around. So far, nothing. "Well, Max, I'd say we had better get moving. If that Rex is still there, we'll wait for it to leave, then see what we can salvage from the wreckage." He pulled out his Mossberg and cocked the weapon, barking, "Alright, let's move! We're heading back to the Osprey to try and find anything we can use! Double time it, people! Be ready for anything!"

"Wait wait wait," Maxwell says. "You wanna go back to the osprey after that thnig attacked it?! What if it's still there?!"

"Like I said, if it's still there, we hide and watch until it leaves. It's that simple," Barnes replied coolly.

[Iceking]

Rick glanced in the direction of Barnes after hearing his supperior speak, then said to Riley:"While we head back, I'll think about possibly helping you get Dodgson to talk. At this momment, though, we don't have any choice but to obey Barnses's order."

Maxwell sighs and says, "Alright. If you say so. But if that Rex catches our scent, I'm not staying."

OOC: I'm about to do something stupid with the T-rex so nearby Dino please don't sick it on me I have a more climactic Idea for it and my character down the line

Hiero heard the exited chatter below, "That sounds a little smaller than what attacked us but no less dangerous," he said to himself. He looked down and saw three unusual creatures circling the tree he had climbed, he was too high up for them to reach but they looked rather patient. "I'm not in the mood for this," he said as he pulled out his Python Revolver. He aimed for the most impressive looking one, a creature that was Blue and flashy. "I hope you like lead," he growled as he aimed and fired a loud, powerful magnum round into the creatures skull. The resounding bang echoed like a thunder clap, Hiero would be lucky if it diddn't attract the attention of the large creature.

The noise travelled through the moist air, loud and unmistakable. A gun shot, one that went off not too far off from where he was now. David made another gesture to Jacob, waving his hand to catch his attention and then pointing in the general direction he heard the shot, asking him to come along to investigate.

Barnes perked up at the sound of the gunshot. "Oh no," Dodgson said. "We have to go! Sue will be right on top of us if she's still around now!" Barnes shook his head. "You named the f**king thi--" "Now is not the time, Lieutenant!" Barnes nodded in agreement. "Right. Stick with the plan. Wherever that shot came from, little miss Rexy is probably on her way there. The LZ should be safe now."

Sue had indeed heard the gunshot. Raising her massive head, she sniffed the air, a deep growl rumbling from her chest. With ground-shaking footsteps, she moved back into the trees, following the sound and smell...

Maxwell says, "What're we waiting for?! Let's go!" the merc begins to move as silently as he can, running in a crouch position.....

The male raptor had circled slightly farther around the tree by the time the loud sound was heard, and let out a shriek of surprise and pain as something too small and fast for him to see grazed his shoulder and slammed into the leaf litter below. The three raptors scattered, heading back to the pack, now knowing that the two-legged in the tree wasn't going to be an easy kill. Plus, the tremors in the ground were enough to tell them that a bigger predator had also heard, and was on its way.

Barnes took the lead with his Mossberg, pushing through the undergrowth with Dodgson alongside him as quietly as possible. "Max," he whispered. "You got a machete or something?"

Sue crashed through the undergrowth, her great bulk making stealth useless to her. She smelled Velociraptors nearby, but they were not a threat to her or her territory. The two-legged newcomers, however, she had known from before, and she knew that they were, at the very least, annoying, if not down right disruptive during her hunts. Getting them out of her territory, dead or alive, was her top priority...
