Rick followed his team mates to the opening, Barnes words of Jenkins possibly enabling them to regain contact with the Boxer making him feel a bit hopeful. However, He didn't like the giggling he had been hearing from the man over the radio, the giggling which only came from men who had been greatly traumatised by a horrible event they had witnessed...

Had Hiero heard Rick's thoughts he would have agreed with him undoubtedly. But if the madman was their best bet then they may as well try.

"Well, I'm fairly sure it understands pain. I'm not a violent man...but if i'm forced....things can get quite unpleasant. If 'Clarence' behaves itself, it'll keep it's head. if not...well....it'll have a more direct source of oxygen for it's brain" responded Jacob calmly...

Persephone was also rather unnerved by the giggling of the madman's words. Being alone on an island filled with lethal predators like this... it must really do a number to one's sanity. Persephone thought to herself as she followed Barnes...

"And why are you telling me?" Jenkins asked. "Tell the big guy himself! I'm sure he'll get it if you speak slowly. Also, it might help if you made your friend put the gun down. I don't think you know exactly what Dilophosaurus are capable of when provoked..."

As the continued through the facility, following the lights, Barnes made sure to check every wall-mounted map they came across that was still intact. They would need the information to find places to rest and gather supplies...

"That Dilophosaurus has no idea what a 5.56mm NATO round to the face will do to it, either" said Jacob. looking over his shoulder, he said "Oi! 'Clarence'! GO. AWAY. OR. DIE.". "I believe i've made myself perfectly clear" he added as he turned back towards the camera, continuing "...Don't you, David?". The Mercenary kept himself side-on towards the animal, just in case it turned hostile...

"And here I thought you weren't a violent man!" Jenkins said. "You don't seem very interested in getting on my good side..." he added in a sing-song voice. The Dilophosaurus had calmed down somewhat when no attacks were aimed at it, but it turned its attention to Jacob when he spoke, obviously curious as to why he was trying to get its attention. It lowered its head and hooted, taking a cautious step forward, but no more, to see how the humans would react...

The Velociraptors had circled the building, looking for openings, still smelling the humans and the Dilophosaur inside. Soft cooing and chattering broke out as a few younger members of the pack got into a play-fight. An adult quickly hushed them.

One of the lead male raptors soon managed to sniff out the trail of Carnotaurus scent. It led through an open door and into the building. The larger carnivores didn't seem to be anywhere nearby, but the Velociraptor wouldn't take any chances with predators that could turn invisible. However, if they were inside, the pack could easily find a meal if they followed the larger animals. The male let out a bark, calling his brethren towards the area...

The other raptors lifted their green-feathered heads as one, some of them bobbing with curiosity as they followed their packmate's call.

The male Velociraptor let out a second bark, then carefully hopped into the building. Sniffing the ground, the animal lifted its feathered head, looking around quickly, in a birdlike fashion, keeping watch until the rest of the pack got to his location...

Riley was now behind the others, watching behind them as they progressed on through the hallway. He had his gun at the ready, but kept it locked for the moment so no accidental friendly fire incidents would occur...

The pack slipped from the undergrowth one at a time, until they had all joined the male who had let out the call. One of the females let out a questioning growl, and a few of the youngsters hopped forward bravely until they were standing beside the male.

The male nosed the youngsters away from the door, towards the safety of the larger pack, and turned to look down the hall, bobbing his head back and forth to point down. He hissed, feathers rattling, and sniffed the air again, coaxing his packmates to do the same. The scent of human here was faint, and it was obvious none had passed through recently. However, if the Carnotaurus had gone through, then all they had to do was follow their noses, and the bigger carnivores would lead them straight to prey...

"You misunderstand me, Doctor. I am not a violent man. My friend David, on the other hand, is irritable, has an itchy trigger finger and hates animals. I'll let you connect the dots" responded Jacob calmly, eying the Dilophosaur warily. "Now, let us not waste time with such trivial matters as which of the two would jump at the other's throat first, hm? Where are you, and are there any other survivors?" he inquired...

"Six months without seeing a woman has made the good doctor gay for a fuckin' dinosaur" David muttered to Jacob, his harsh tone making it hard to tell the mercenary was just joking, though his friend was right. He was irritable, and he hated animals. Especially these animals.

"Pardon me, but I don't think I feel quite secure with an irritable, trigger-happy, dinosaur-hating neanderthal in the same room as myself," Jenkins replied, now sounding legitimately annoyed. "Please, do some anger management or something before I get into close quarters with him." After a short pause, he added, his voice now cordial and happy again, "Oh, and there are no other survivors."
