Diablo growled, he rolled to the side, adjusting his position, nudging his head into the gravel and trying to get comfortable. The snap of the branch took a moment for him to register. His eyes eased open, they scanned his surroundings. Not seeing much he craned his head up to get a better view, turning he saw a young tyrannosaur behind him, Diablo spun around, getting to his feet to face the animal. He stretched his legs slightly staring intently at the animal before him, only slightly bigger then he was. The Rugops looked sickly, scrawny and unhealthy, its body was tense, as it tried to figure out the Rexes intent. Diablo silently watched, as if waiting for something.

a low hiss echoed from within, before everything went silent, the Raptor having seemingly disappeared...

that is, until the whistling and chittering started again. extremely intricate, almost musical calls echoed through the corridor, the sound both beautiful and melancholy, chilling in their tone and sharpness, it's nature making it seem to be coming from everywhere at once, no longer seeming to echo from the room itself, but from above, below, in front, behind and on either side of Aircrest...

Crusher cocked his head curiously, eyeing the strange bony predator with almost childish interest, not sure if that's what that creature was supposed to look like, or whether something was wrong with it. curious, he made a light bark, traces of the chirp of younger years still audible in his tone...

Diablo's whole body flinched, he was so ready for something to happen the bark threw him off guard. Diablo looked to his left, and right, only momentarily taking his eyes off the young t-rex. If things took a turn for the worse he would have to find an escape route, but for now he stood his ground, he let out a low snarl, as if replying to the rex's taunt.

Finally getting to her feet and jumping off the rock, Steeltalon said to herself, "It can't be that hard, can it?" and padded to the very edge of the bank, peering into the stream and seeing the vague zig-zag patterns the fish made as they swam lazily. They didn't seem to be very smart. The problem was, as soon as she hit the water they'd scatter. Focused intently on a particularly pale fish and thinking only of her hunger, she wasn't very alert to her surroundings at the moment.

A gray female mutant velociraptor watched the black-and-white halfbreed from the ferns a good deal away from the other side of the stream. The wind was on her side - Steeltalon would never know she was there, as long as she was quiet. Blue eyes with the depth of sapphires settled on the long scar down Steeltalon's left side. The claw on her foot twitched at the memory of tearing through that flesh with the intent to kill. Somehow, some way, the brat had survived the injury. Her eyes narrowed. Riptide would be interested to hear this. As silently as she had come, Vertigo left, and in moments there was nothing to betray she'd ever been there except for a slight scent that was quickly snatched by the breeze.

Crusher paced to one side, cocking his head at the predator, eyeing the skeletal condition of it for a moment, before grunting. "You don't look so good" he growled...

The Rugops paced to the side as well, trying to remain the same distance from the trex. He remained silent, not sure what it meant by its comment.

"****...so much for that idea" Aircrest thought as the calls bounced off the walls and into his ears, uncertainty stopping him in his tracks as he looked about the corridor, not sure where the raptor was. It could be just ahead, ready to lunge out at him, to grab his neck and crush it...maybe it would be ready to knock him to his side and tear open his underside, spilling his guts as he had done to the Abrictosaur. Maybe it was right behind him, contemplating the right time to strike him down. Aircrest simply lowered himself to the cold floor, his eyes wide, heart racing and blood boiling as he felt pure terror in the face of what he felt as innevitabillity

After a few minutes of walking, the dark raptor came to a large, decaying stump. And here I thought I was getting lost... Darkness thought to himself with a sigh, though he approached the stump none the less. Finding it to be quite sturdy, the dark raptor lowered himself onto the gargantuan plant, noticing for the first time the tranquility of the area. He made a mental note to remember how he got here, if Crusher and him ever needed to move their home...assuming he could find his way here without entering the cave.

Steeltalon realized that the fish were a lot faster than she'd thought when she lunged for one and the sudden shadow over the water spooked it. It darted away just as she lost her balance trying to pull back. With a yelp and a loud splash, she ended up in the stream. Fighting panic she clawed her way to the surface, coughing and spluttering when her head breached it. It was harder than she expected to keep her head above water, and she both inhaled and swallowed a lot of it as she tried to get to the bank.

"So... you're the main Spinosaur in charge of this area?" Sawtooth gurgled as he trieds to turn his head to face the massive Spinosaur. Truth be told, this was the largest Spino he had ever laid eyes on, during his entire 29 years of existance. It also reaked of blood, and it's scent was one that made Sawtooth's eyes go red. Normally, such a fearsome sight would make any creature fear for their lives.

Sawtooth, however, wasn't afraid of Thrasher. He was simply pissed off.

The massive Deinosuchus began to swing his tail fromside to side, trying to hit the massive Spino and get him off from him. Personally, he didn't fancy the idea of being pinned to the ground by a fish-eating Dinosaur...

The Edmontosaur herd, confused by the roar, simply broke off in all directions, the Bull male in charge also ran , hoping to distract the Tarbo from the rest of the herd...

as suddenly as the sounds had started, they stopped, the silence that followed almost as deafening as the noise had been...

mere seconds later, a rustle could be heard somewhere above. and in an instant, a large form plummeted from the ceiling through a hole, concealed by the darkness, a thump being heard as it landed, the Raptor rising to it's full height, looking directly at Aircrest...

Thrasher snarled irritably. "How idiotic must one be to LEAVE his ELEMENT, CRAWL towards of predators in their own element, and then attempt to pick a fight? It boggles the mind" hissed the Spinosaur, the tail barely grazing against his flank, having moved to the Croc's side as he had attacked, targetting the Deinosuchus' weakpoint. as he pressed his claws into the Croc's flank, he raked them inwards, leaving a series of 6 large gaping gashes in the croc's flesh...

Crusher's expression bent into a frown as he thought over the predator's behaviour. "What? don't want to talk?" he growled. he could feel the first hints of hunger getting back to him.....again. the Rex inwardly sighed in annoyance. how could he get hungry so quickly?

Beady little eyes lock on to a random female. She will statisfy his ravenous hunger. With a quick burst of speed, the tarbosaur sprints towards the female, jaws snapping at her as he soon reaches her left flank.....

Aircrest looked up at the raptor, his body still pressed down to the floor. His wide eyes narrowed hatefully at the quilled elder. What was his intention now? Get a good look at his pitiful victim before he killed it? Aircrest willed himself to stand up tall, though shudders rippled across his body as he did, staring the stranger in the eyes. The green raptor may have been afraid of death, but he wasnt going to cower in the face of his would be killer, not after all he had been through in the three years of his life.

Sawtooth hissed in annoyance, acting as if getting his side sliced through didn't hurt him, though the pain shot all through his body. " I simply was getting tired o fhearing the constant roaring and fighting from here, so I came to file a complaint to the King of Isla Sorna." Sawtooth hissed, the last bit having a sarcastic tone to it. This Spinosaur was gettin gon his nerves... if only he could actually hit it with his tail... or his head...

Off down stream, another large Deinosuchus was basking himself on the banks of the river. THis Deinosuchus wasn't as scarred or as large as Sawtooth, and had a few small birds cleaning between his teeth for food scrapes. Personally, Bias didn't mind the birds at all. He was simply content basking in the sun. Sure, he was rather vulnerable on land, but then, what would try and take on a Deinosuchus, bar a large T-rex or other Super-predator?

The female Edmonto honked in alarm as she tried to outrun the Tarbosaur. The herbivore was moving as fast as she could, but Edmontosaurus in general weren't very fast...

the snarl rumbled in Thrasher's throat at the sarcasm, deciding he had had enough of the creature. with a growl he lifted his foot, before dropping all his weight back down on it again as it slammed down on the Croc's spine, 16 tons of solid muscle and bone slamming down on the Deinosuchus' spine, smashing it instantly, irritation at this pathetic excuse for an opponent peaking. turning away he snarled "Do what you like with him. But once you're done, dump him in the river. He doesn't deserve the dignity of being eaten by Compies. his own food, the fish, will take care of the scraps"...

The Elder Raptor eyed Aircrest silently for a few moments, watching his internal struggle to hide his fear, the Elder unflinching for several seconds, before his expression broke into one of amusement, breaking out into laughter a moment later...

"Good. You've had your laugh. Might as well finish me off like you did that Deinonychus" Aircrest hissed, his voice wavering as the image flashed in his head once more, the elder pinning him and putting his claws to the green raptor's neck. Even during what he thought were his last moments alive, he replayed the instance over and over again. The moment where his own mortallity made itself known...

Meanwhile, Blackside and Monozu continued to watch the herds simply pass through on th eplains, before the female T-rex rose onto her feet. " I don't think that meal really hit the spot... Time for seconds!" The female T-rex snarled, before heading off into th eplains. Monozu sighed, before following her. He really couldn't believe Blackside's childness, even at this age. He wanted to talk Blackside out of it, but he knew that once Blackside decided on something, it was final. THere was no talking her out of something...

Diablo cocked his head with intrigue, but only for a moment. At this point most predators would have either shunned him off or made an attempt to claim his life, but this trex was different. He wasn't entirely sure if he could trust the tyrannosaur yet, but he finally growled a few words in response: "I... just don't know what to do at this point..." Diablo's speech skills showed as he had a bit of trouble spitting out the words. His posture had become increasingly more relaxed, as if he felt assured the rex wasn't going to attack him.

Sharp, saw-like teeth tear into the edmontosaur's tail, before Ba'al pulls the edmontosaurus onto her side, blood being spilled onto the floor....

Verde, a green juvanile Compsognathus, scurried up the bank of a stream. In the corner of his little yellow eye, he seen movement on top of a miniature waterfall. What Verde saw was an black adult Baryonyx, named Noir, lying on the large rock above the waterfall.... asleep, with a newly fresh killed fish in his jaws. Verde stopped in his tracks and took a good look at the mutilated fish within the Baryonyx's jaw, bobbing his head in excitement. Not thinking about what could happen, he scurried and hopped from rock to rock, his mission was to steal some fish! As Verde came face-to-face with Noir, he slowly tip-toed with his body lowered, his neck stuck out as he reached for a piece of fish. As soon as Verde grabbed a piece of fish flesh hanged out from the fish's body, Noir woke up.... Noir's one good eye, which was like lava erupting out of a raging volcano, stared at the thief. Verde now realizing that Noir woke up and saw him.... his jaw dropped and had let go of the piece of fish. Shit-scared, Verde slowly crept backwards as Noir rose from his slumpering rock and looked down at the Compy with a long and slow growl.
Verde squawked from fright, " Oh no...."
