We'll need support though if we are to combat the enemy entirely, though. We'll still provide infantry and armored support on the ground, wherever they may be needed. Just contact us when they are," Morris went on after allowing the Sheekh radio operator to speak. Slowly, yet surely, the ship rose into the air and flew off upon exiting the atmosphere, leaving the few hundred human colonists alone on the surface of 4751...

The base's wall mounted turrets fired bolts of plasma into the sky at the bombers, concentrating fire on the bomb bays. By doing this, the turrets alone were able to cripple many ships, destroying their payloads as they went to drop the bombs. They were able to hold off attack like this, with the utility ships on the ground firing their own spire cannons to finish off the damaged opposition. The rest of the raid was quickly dispatched by one of the Haelbrams following the ships after their launch, its powerful cannons adding to the present onslaught and ending the attack swiftly.

The fighters soon charged the Haelbram, attacking the air leviathan like a swarm of bees, firing missiles and plasma bolts at their foe while the Bombardiers did their best to avoid being taken down. While all were destroyed in the assault, the explosions of their impacts and the bombs themselves did an adequate job to get their point across....

The Savannah tore quickly through the vastness of space, heading towards where it was currently needed. Ground troopers were preparing with every bit of equipment they could carry, including tons of ammunition. If they were needed on the surface of one of the colonies, they'd help out as much as they could.

"Sir, we got a 5-second video recording from the hunter before we lost contact with it. We don't have the firepower, even with a combined force, to deal with THAT," an officer said, pointing to a monitor showing a recording as the ship was blown to smithereens...

Bursts of energy rippled throughout the system where colony 4751 was located; a division of the second wave diverted from the conquest of the Sheekh after contact with the Savannah was discovered by the occupying Orakian forces. Pinpointing where the other end of the conversation happened quickly and upon confirmation of the mighty ship's approach, the division was deployed. Now the attacking fleet closed in on the colony. Without its mothership, taking it would be no challenge


Switching the fire mode of the plasma spires, the Haelbram pelted super heated spheres at a rapid rate into the fighters swarming it. A number of explosions went off a distance away from the titanic ship, some of the small ships inadvertently flying into a plasma orb trying to dodge the other blasts, the overwhelming obstacles whittling away at the squadron...


Construction walkers stomped onto the surface now clean of the station debris. The two utility ships that chased the facility down to the surface had long since landed and were now creating another stronghold upon the planet, the walls being erected at an efficient rate. Defending this new institution of war were Orakian ground forces, though the infantry was not what one might expect of the small alien beings. Rather, they resided within slender, white paneled combat vehicles. They were fitted with treads, armor casing reaching around all the around them and stopping mere inches from the ground. From the base was a metal fixture vaguely resembling a Hai'Orak, its arms being fitted with an array of weapons, from rotary guns, ion rifles, and rail gun weaponry. Some had heavy missile launchers mounted on the "shoulders". Each one was the size of a small tank and sported harvesting capability, meaning they could restock their own munitions out on the battle field just by gathering resources from the environment.

Upon picking up the division's presence on radar, hundreds of weapons rose out of their holding areas and were loaded, ready to fire, especially the heavy assault cannon outfitted on the ship. The shields went up to full capacity, and the engines were cut to divert additional power to the weapons and shields. Ground troopers were prepping for a inevitable ground battle, stocking up on everything they could carry...

The fleet closed in on the practically undefended planet, Utility ships slicing through the skies over the colony as flaming arrows from the heavens, their bows glowing hot from atmospheric entry. Haelbrams followed suit, descending slowly like steel clouds, the gigantic warships bearing down on the world below.

The Savannah's greeting at the Sheekh home system was not a wall of warships defending the perimeter, but a gaping breach in the quarantine. A large cluster of ships were located deeper into the system, emitting large pulses of energy to announce their location to the new arrival...

From the land of Colony 4751, lasers fired out from the planet, blasting down utility ships and firing pointlessly at the massive Haelbrams. More fighters come from different sectors of the planet, firing at the enemy....

Those of the crippled Utility ships guided their doomed crafts into the powerful laser defenses while they charged up for another attack, the collisions destroying the guns before they were able to unleash another blast in massive plumes of flames and debris. The remaining legion quickly dispatched the first wave of the fighters, their combined coverage with their plasma spires making approach with lightly armored ships suicide...

The Savannah drifted through space, using only two of it's engines to push it onwards now, heading directly for the signal. "If those ******* are not our allies, kill them all!" Captain Steven shouted, prepared for a battle...

As the Savannah passed the formerly enforced perimeter, it was bombarded by the energy of ships exiting their hyperspace jumps from above, below and beside it: the rest of the second wave. The ripples of energy were blinding. In the wake of the jumps, an entirely new force completely trapped the Savannah. The ships baiting it approached the strike zone as the rest of the perimeter guard moved back into position. The home of hundreds was now caught in the clutches of the Orakian onslaught...

The fighters were gunned down, but not before inflicting decent damage on their foes. Devastators and more fighters were on their way, but for now, the current area had to rely on their turrets to defend themselves....

The Sheekh legion on the planet prepared for battle, every major city prepping their 100,000 strong battalion for combat....

"What the hell?!" a deck officer immediately shouted after the whole ship rocked about, throwing many around like ragdolls. "OPEN FIRE!!!" the captain shouted, and soon enough, the guns still operational began firing upon the enemy that had the ship trapped. Morris quickly contacted a Sheekh radio operator, saying, "We need support at sector 0, 0, 8! We're surrounded by the enemy! Bring what you can!" Soon, the main gun on the ship fired a burst of three different beams, which swiftly tore through some Orakian ships and caused them to explode into millions of fragments...

The Savannah's main assets were the targets of the Haelbram ships in the wave of attackers, their rail gun cannons firing in unison upon the tri-beam weapon the giant ship sported, while those to the rear fired upon its main thrusters with the intent on leaving it stranded in the middle of the assault. The armada located elsewhere in the system monitored the transmissions being sent closely, forces ready to strangle any Sheekh support the moment it departed from the planets. As it stood, the space in the system belonged to the Orakian occupation.


The Haelbrams attacking the colony bathed the defenses of the first metropolitan hub with plasma beams as the Utility ships landed at the outer limits of the city. Their weapons still primed to fire, the ships expelled Harvestors and the Orakian mechanized infantry to seize it. The newly deployed forces pooled up around their large carrier ships, awaiting the moment of attack...
