Diablo was too hungry to think. He tore out piece after piece of flesh from the corythosaur. Swallowing it down with great satisfaction.

Through narrowed eyes the Tyrannosaur looked at the scene, his fury burning deep within him. He expected a raptor pack to swarm the kill after he sneaked back into the treeline but instead, it was the same loner and a half starved Rugops! He didn't know what to make of it, did those two really have the audacity to feast upon his kill, knowing he was bound to be close by? This went beyond simply wandering into his territory. This was blatant disrespect. The Tyrannosaur crept back towards the forest edge, taking gentle, silent steps the same as the ones he took to enter the forest. He prepared himself to charge out and clamp down on one of the wretches, making an example of it to the other...

A few miles away fromt he cave, Blackside was patrolling the area. The large female Tyrannosaur stopped just underbeath a particularly large tree. This was in roughly the same area where that male Rex had showed up... She sniffed the air, before she noticed something. It was a peculiar scent, this time not marred by the smell of the male. It was the scent of a nearby Rex nest... and a particularly large female. However, that scent in and of itself was very faint, which probably meant the nest was abandoned. Perhaps... Blackside moved on, heading for the nest...

As the boar croc continued to tear apart the eggs, he lifted his head, and saw that the deinonychus were scurrying away, calling out in alarm. The Kaprosuchus looked around, trying to find what had scared them off...

Unfortunately for hi, it was already upon him.

A massive pair of jaws snapped around his neck, killing the croc before it realized what had hit him. the titanic entity that had killed him dropped the croc, before it began to feast on him. It was huge, at 47 feet long, but it wasn't a dinosaur, but a rauisuchian, called Fasolasuchus, the largest terrestrial non-dinosaurian carnivore on the island. With ghastly grayish scales, and gigantic teeth,it was a sight to behold...

Moa swam ever so slowly closer, her eyes locked onto the nearest Muttaburosaurus, before she lunged. The attack was quick, and deadly. The herbivore had no chance to flee as the jaws of the carnivore latched onto it's skull, 4 inch teeth driven into it's snout with the force of a sledgehammer. Using her strength, she swung her head to the side, sending the iguanodintid off its feet. By this point, the entire herd was in an uproar, panicing for their lives as they fled. Using her powerful limbs, she snaked her way back into thedepths, dragging the herbivore with her, her young watching and learning...

Bane heard, rather than saw the unknown raptor as one close to him in size, not 25 meters in front of him. Coming within sight of the raptor, he thudded to a sudden stop atop a tree branch; despite his apprehensive recklessness, he wasn't going to go any closer until he had ascertained that this creature wasn't a threat to him; he was fairly sure that if there was one of them, there'd be more. He let out a reserved call, warning the other figure to do the same.
From that distance, he barked "So where are your friends hiding, huh?"...

Maloriak looked up at the Dromeasaur on the branch, a puzzled expression coming to his face after it asked him a question before he hissed:"I'm a loner. No other raptors are with me."

The Rex weighed his options, maintaining his composure despite the burning rage he felt at the two intruders. The raptor was fast, he had seen its speed when it bolted through the herd. The Rugops on the other hand, though slender; was larger still and not as adept for running as the Dromeosaur. After making his selection, the Tyrannosaur's powerful leg muscles tensed and seconds later he was once again thundering onto the plains, his foot steps rocking the very Earth.

Aircrest looked up from the Corythosaur with dread in his eyes and a slab of meat still hanging in his jaws. "Oh ****!" he thought...

The quake of each step from the rex broke Diablo from his hunger induced trance. In a sudden desperate act he tore a chunk of meat from the carcass, swallowing it as he took off. He figured he would be the target, being the larger animal of the two. He broke for the tree line moving surprisingly fast for his size. Leaving exposed dirt in the shape of claw marks in his wake. The only way he could get out of this is if he could outpace and out maneuver the rex. With determination he made way for the nearest trees. The trex was imposing, but large and cumbersome. If he made it to the trees he might stand a chance at losing the trex in the thick of the foilage.

The bull Rex swung his maw down as the redheaded Rugops shot under him, the massive jaws wide. Strings of saliva bridged the gap, wavering as the titan unleashed a booming roar to intimidate the smaller carnivore even more, trying to scare it into a mistake that would spell out its demise. Aircrest, caught up in the moment, followed the Rugops as it made the dash to the forest. A shiver ran down his spine repeatedly as he saw the Tyrannosaur's mouth come barreling down from above and he swerved to the side, the piece of meat slapping against his cheeks as he ran...

The enraged roar of the trex was drowned out as Diablo became in tune with his own body. As adrenaline kicked in he could feel each foot fall, hear each heart beat. His whole world was in slow motion as he rushed across the meadow. What seemed like forever for the rugops took seconds in real time. As the trees came closer Diablo ran faster, the final push for safety was within his grasps.

The Tyrannosaur's mouth snapped shut inches away from the end of the Rugops' tail. The giant let out a loud snort, Aircrest feeling the puff of air that exited the T-Rex's nostrils even as he shot into the treeline. The brown beast swung its girth about and trundled after the intruders. He would make it clear that he would pursue them as long as he is able, and should they remain their doom would be lurking with him in the shadows of the forest...

Diablo darted into the forest knocking aside small saplings and ferns. Swooping under and past tree branches as he made his way through the forest. Diablo selected the most complex routes, he hopped over tree trunks and ducked under fallen logs, leaning against their stronger neighbors. Diablo maintained a steady speed and never looked back.

Pelting ahead of the Rugops, the green raptor swerved around and leapt over the obstacles in his way as he heard the familiar snapping of timber from behind. The Tyrannosaur's taloned feet smashed the logs sprawled out in its way and he rammed branches that stretched out ahead of him. He tore through growths of vines that hung in his path, the leafy tendrils dangling off of his body as he went on with the chase...

The terrain grew increasingly unforgiving. What was once started as flatland developed into rolling hills, and then into craggy cliffs in dense forest. Diablo rounded a massive rocky spire, temporarily out of view of the trex. He took the opportunity to survey his surroundings and quickly spotted a large cliff leading into a deep, but narrow cave. Diablo barked, attempting to alert the raptor of his discovery, before shooting forward and directly into the cave, safely packed inside and hidden from the rex.

Aircrest glanced backwards for half second before looking forward again, knowing that the Rugops was trying to point out the rocky refuge. With one last burst of speed, the raptor found himself shooting into the dark recess of the cave, slowing to a stop some distance within. "What...kind of Tyrannosaur...keeps territory it can barely navigate!?" he growled in between panting breaths, the bit of meat hanging from his mouth...

The behemoth predator slowed down considerably to compensate for the increasingly treacherous terrain. Two meager creatures were not worth him risking serious injury from a bad fall that could leave him crippled and weak to defend his home from more substantial threats. With one last bellow expressing his wrath, the Bull T-Rex turned off into the thicket, the tremors of his footsteps receding. Perhaps next time the chase would bear fruitful results, for the two would have to leave their sanctuary some time...

Silence filled the jungle as the trex wandered off. Diablo took a moment to gather his thoughts, panting heavily before walking to the cave entrance and peeking out. He could vaguely make out the tail of the rex, disappearing into the thick foliage. "we should rest here for a bit, but I wouldn't stay for long..." the rugops growled quietly. "He knows where we are, it won't be long before he comes back."

"...Agreed" Aircrest replied somewhat reluctantly, not sure how should feel about being with the Rugops in such a confined space. He dismissed the possible threat the dinosaur posed however, as he had just eaten and there was a much larger issue moving through the forest just beyond the cave. The raptor, taking the opportunity to rest, dropped the meat into his clawed hands, looking at the tender flesh before biting into it once more, savoring his salvage...

The cave was narrow and uncomfortable, it was plenty of room for a raptor like Aircrest, but for Diablo it was cramped. He looked around awkwardly for a place to sit and collect his thoughts but couldn't find an area much wider then where he was. Slowly Diablo sank to the stone floor, resting his head on a medium sized rock and staring blankly to the outside. He thought over the incident thoroughly, going over every small detail in his head, trying to find where it went wrong. "This is your fault..." Diablo growled at the raptor in front of him.

After finishing the last of the scrap he stole from the kill, Aircrest started to lick his lips and the blood stained claws on his hands. Once he was done with that, he barked "How the hell is it my fault. You followed me, you damn jitter-foot!"

Diablo let out a snarl, raising his head from its resting place. "It was your idea to go after the rex's kill in the first place." a momentary spike in anger soon simmered down. Diablo lowered his head back to the rock, "if you hadn't done something so foolish we wouldn't be stuck in this cave." he added.

"Again, you followed me out there. Maybe if you weren't a slave to your stomach, you'd still be sitting in those bushes, watching the Rex stuff its face!" Aircrest retorted, purposely ignoring the reason he went out there at all was because he too was hungry. He also 'forgot' his snack just moments prior, taking the last he could of his meal...
