Wasting no time, the Seeker fired the shot, the bullet zipping through the calculated trajectory without deviation. Picking up on the obvious ambush was expected, but what Ecliptor did not count on was the taunt. It only gave him a larger window of opportunity to attack. He made a note to emulate the life endangering behavior after he heard the faint thud of shell hitting flesh.

Aria was no fool. She had her Barriers up well before entering the ship. The round pinged off her protection harmlessly. Unflinching, the Asari simply made a tsk of disappointment. "Alright, cup it is then." She walked back around the corner, already prepared to strike back biotically if she was ambushed, saying over her radio, "Anto, call docking control. Tell them to crush this tin can. I'm not wasting my time on a wild goose chase. If they can't do that, just tell them to shunt it out into space and blow it up..."

"Bad" commented Ecliptor mentally, picking up the trailing end of the order. In response, he established the remote connection to the scout ship, its systems booting up suddenly. Lights along the ceiling and floor flashed to life abruptly and the low rumble and hum of a booting engine ran through the metal walls of the craft. The doors swung shut and the rods twisted back in place, locking Aria within the ship...

"Well, the mods are about 2k a piece. the visor's only 800 though. So your stuff would come out to about 4800 credits" said Sharakh. Khuurava raised a brow in surprise, but said nothing, deciding to let Arrak handle it. He was supposed to be his comrade, not his guide and guardian. Arrak was a mercenary afterall, he was expected to know how to handle this...

OOC: Added a profile for Aria, since I didn't expect to use her this much initially.

Aria froze midstep. She had to admit, she hadn't expected that. "Anto, cancel my previous order. Get the men gathered in the Afterlife club. I'll keep in contact as best I can. Until I get out of here, you're in charge." She hated saying that. She would have barely trusted Anto with a pencil-pusher job, let alone managing her empire.

Meanwhile, Anto desperately tried to get some very confused and alarmed mercs in line as the scout ship before them came to life...

Arrak was silent for a moment, then leaned on the counter, staring flatly at Sharakh. "Listen Scarface, you may think I'm a kid, but I'm definitely not an idiot. Ammo modifications like these are 1200 credits at the most. Armor-Piercing Ammo is practically standard issue in some militaries. I'll shell out as much as 2500 credits for the whole batch, because the job we're getting is high-paying and you seem like a smart guy, but 4800? No deal." He didn't bother mentioning the visor price. It was at least reasonable...

Ecliptor's claws dug into the metal floor, piercing like the teeth of a clamp and anchoring the Seeker as the ship suddenly lifted on, the broad exhaust port of the engine giving off a white glow and heat that conveyed the pent up energy that was being stored within the ship. He crouched down, put the rifle back on his back and anchored himself further with his hands...

Omega's tractor beams were still active, so the Seeker ship was certainly not going anywhere. Regardless, other non-lethal defenses over the station had been activated, such as ion cannons, in case the ship tried anything. Aria braced herself against a wall, cursing silently. This is why synthetic lifeforms were illegal in Citadel space...

The blast of the ship's engine was an intense burst of light. The incredible energies responsible for warp speed channeled in the form of a white-blue stream spewed out of the port, blowing at the ship's containment, the heat radiating outwards enough to boil the mercenaries in the very suits they wore. The scout ship rocketed out of the hangar propelled by the awesome force, tearing through the nullifying field of tractor beams and pelting off into the far yonder of space...

"Not bad. Turns out you got balls afterall. 3000 and we call it a deal. that's literally market price here. You won't find that stuff anywhere else, and if I go lower, I don't get my money back for buying them. Smuggling that **** here isn't as cheap as shipping it normally, and that stuff's off the shelves in Omega because Aria doesn't want modified rounds throwing this place to hell. Considering what I'd be paying if I were caught, I'd say I'm being generous" hissed Sharakh firmly, Khuurava chuckling. "You? generous? that'll be the day. If you were generous you'd give me my gear for free. seeing as how I saved your *** a few times" said the merc as he installed the plutonium infuser into his weapon, before closing a heavy metallic panel on the side of the weapon. "I've given you free gear before. But I consider that debt paid. pulling the trigger before the enemy did does not equate to you saving my life. they could just as easily have missed" retorted Sharakh, Khuurava shaking his head, chuckling amusedly at how worked up the former soldier got...

Fortunately for Aria's mercs, they had evacuated the hangar bay well before the ship launched, though the docking bay itself didn't fare well. Aria leaned against the wall of the corridor, glowering angrily. "This f**ker's going to pay for this..." she growled under her breath. She only hoped Anto would at least put someone smart in charge, even if it was Patriarch...

Arrak activated his Omni-tool, transferring his credits. "Fair enough. You black market types have it rough, huh?"

Almost instantaneously, the scout ship's warp covered several parsecs of space, with Omega and its neighboring bodies obscured by the brilliant lights of stars. Even now, it was quite some distance from 'Home', where Ecliptor intended to appraise his findings. The empirical data the Seekers could gain from an actual organic was a prospect that the unit couldn't wait to act upon, but before science could be done he had to survive this voyage with a very dangerous biotic...

Aria quickly decided that she was going to have to get back to Omega on her own. Her mind raced, thinking of what to do. She had been effectively kidnapped by a synthetic lifeform, but why? What possible use could a synthetic have for an organic being? She either needed to somehow talk to this thing face-to-face, or just take the ship by force. However, diplomacy was a decidedly safer option. "Alright, you got me," she called out. "Now what the hell do you want from me?!"

"You couldn't imagine. In addition to risking getting hunted down by Aria, we have to deal with sleazy Volus traders looking to make a quick buck, we have Vorcha crawling all over the place, and we have to deal with ******** like bonehead over here who'll do anything to squash our prices down as far as they can" responded Sharakh as he eyed Khuurava, the latter only smirking slyly. checking his omni-tool, Sharakh saw that Arrak's payment came through, along with a payment of 1800 credits from Khuurava, undoubtedly for the plutonium infuser. It was a few hundred over the actual price, but he wasn't complaining. "That reminds me. What's with the Vorcha? I don't remember there being so many last time I stopped by" commented Khuurava as he leaned against one of the containers, Sharakh simply shrugging. "No idea. the last couple of weeks they've been getting adventurous. They're better armed too. Before, they'd be lucky to have anything better than a rusty old, worn down Kessler pistol. I'm seeing some of them walking around with 'Fexes, shotguns and assault rifles. I get the feeling the Blood Pack might be expanding it's ranks, but then, I haven't seen a single Blood Pack uniform down here in months"...

"Knowledge" Ecliptor replied. His voice seemed to emanate from every corner of the ship, droning and while it was impassive, was laced with varying electronic wavering and rumbling, giving his voice a gravelly quality. "Knowledge hides, this one seeks. This one has found"

"Maybe Gavorn chased them down here?" Arrak suggested. "He's been getting real good at killing Vorcha lately." The Turian began equipping his ammo modifications to his respective weapons, pleased to improve their performance. The Geth weren't pushovers like most of the scum on Omega, after all...

"He's good, but nowhere near good enough to cause number fluctuations like this. the Vorcha presence in plain sight has almost tripled down here from how it was previously. It's like they're more confident in their power now than they were before. That or they had a baby boom in the sewers and they all just sprung up. I doubt it though. They don't get enough food to fuel a burst like that" responded Sharakh, Khuurava thinking it over for a while, considering the possibilities...

"If I was paranoid, I'd say Saren was somehow the cause," Arrak said with a chuckle. "Breeding a Vorcha army to support his Geth buddies."

"So you thought kidnapping me was the only way to get your knowledge?" Aria asked, slightly annoyed. "For a synthetic, you're not very logical..."

"To be organic is the goal. Organic actions do not make sense. Seekers must then not make sense" Ecliptor explained. The Asari was unsuspecting to the fact Ecliptor was just overhead, having entered the crawl space made at his previous ambush site. While he did not see her, keeping her talking meant he was able to get a fix on her location...

Aria crossed her arms. "Well, you're certainly mimicking the STUPID organics..." she muttered. "Why don't we make a deal: take me back to Omega, and I'll tell you whatever your curious little robot mind dreams up, hm?" Obviously, she wouldn't tell him anything; she had her secrets. "Or, you know, you can visit the extranet for about five minutes..."

"Your words are stupid. This one needs to consult with the group for definitive course of action" was Ecliptor's answer.
