"Ha. You would sooner learn to fly than manage to sit on me" snorted Fatalis tauntingly. "I don't assume all super predators are dumb. Just your kind" he added as he walked along the predator's neck and head.

"You little fricking... I don't know why, but I'm beginning to like you." Shade sighed as she lied down again.

"Don't you think that's kind of... racist? Saying that Carcharodontosaurs are dumb?"

"You like the ones that mock you? You're even more backwards than I thought. Makes me wonder what kind of life you had as a chick. Mother probably stepped on you all the time" hissed Fatalis with a shake of his head. "Its a known fact Carchas and Gigas are thicker than other super predators. A Rex would never be caught making the kind of mistakes I've seen your kind do"...

Shade mocked Fatalis with a whiny voice.

"A rex would never be caught doing the same mi- NOTHING."

She lied down, curling up like a cat would.

As the compy ran toward him, Cirrus's amber eyes flashed; as it jumped, he lunged upward, his tiny, needle-sharp teeth closing on the extreme tip of its tail for just a second before it cleared him. He spun to chase it, but it had already gone. He licked his teeth, tasting its blood and giving a low, purr-like growl.

Riptide gave a rattling snarl, rallying those left with him and taking a step forward to display the sickle-shaped claw on his middle toe. The mutant leader knew he was probably going to be killed as his packmates had been, but he'd do his best to leave the herbivore with a couple of scars it wouldn't soon forget. With a commanding bark, he commanded the last of his pack forward - they split into two streams and leaped for the herbivore's flanks, clawing with all their strength. A couple of them managed to climb onto its back, to avoid being crushed against the cave walls. Riptide hung back, out of the Triceratops's reach, waiting.

Xanthe and the other three members of the pack were already getting tired; the bigger predator was several times their weight, and they were barely making noticable progress. They'd gotten the brute to move a little ways away, but it was still too close to the nest for his liking; the smell of blood would alreadt attract other predators, hoping for an easy meal, but when the body started to rot...there could be even more trouble. The alpha male gave another, frustrated snarl and, as his teeth slipped from behind the head for the third time, he decided to give up. "We'll have to leave it here," he muttered. "We might not be able to move it farther now, but if we can convince the rest of the pack to eat it...." He knew he didn't sound optimistic that they would. "Maybe then we'll be able to take it farther from the nest."

Pipsqueak chirped in horror as the very tip of his tail had been nipped off. He squeaked and squealed, running in circles while looking at his tail. Blood was only dripping out of the little dinosaur's tail, but he didn't care; he had been hurt.

"Oooh, looks like I hit a sore spot. Don't like Rexes, Carcha?" hissed the Raptor with a cruel snicker. "Can't say I blame you. They're all so high and mighty. Think they're the top predators on the island. Well, they are, come to think of it-but that's besides the point. They shouldn't go rubbing it into everyone else's faces" he added indignantly. Upon the Carcha claiming she was cautious, the Raptor simply snorted. "Cautious enough to run head on into two Spinosaurs. Yeah. right. VERY cautious. About as cautious as a sauropod running off a cliff" scoffed Fatalis as he stood on the Carcha's flank...

Shade snapped at Fatalis angrily, not intending to try to eat him but to warn him.

"Will you get your speedy chicken *** off of my leg?! Go pester the Therizinosaurus! You know, the one with the blue and green feathers that doesn't want to chew you to a bloody pulp at the moment! The one that ISN'T me!"

"Therizinosaurs can barely think of anything but eating and sleeping. You on the other hand" hissed Fatalis with a smirk as he hopped out of the Carcha's reach easily, though not getting off. "Besides, Feathers aren't nearly as fun to walk on. So fluffy and slippery and....eugh. If I wanted to feel feathers under my feet I'd kill a bird and skewer it to my foot" he added...

Erebus bellowed furiously as he swung his head violently to one side as the Raptors attacked, several of them being bludgeoned or skewered by his horns and head, the Trike swinging his flanks against the cave walls, killing the ones unlucky enough to fail to reach his back, before bucking violently, his whole body shaking with the effort, displacing some of the Raptors as the Triceratops shuddered, stomping one in the process as it fell off him, the Trike shifting his gaze towards Riptide and a few stragglers, deciding that staying in one spot wasn't in his best interests...

Shade sighed. Can't you annoy a Tyrannosaur? she thought. The Carcharodontosaurus stood again.

"I don't know about you, but this arguing is making me somewhat hungry. Any suggestions... Um... You do have a name, right? Because if we're going to pass smartass comments back and forth, I might as well know who you are." the predator grumbled with a sigh.

"Besides, I just might name you 'Fluffy.' Because you're like one of the little opossums I see during the night; tiny and powerless, compared to me." she snorted with a smirk.

"Powerless? pfft. I could cripple you before you even knew what hit you" hissed Fatalis with a snort. "You want my name, yet you don't give me yours? Yeah, I think I'll pass" he added as he dug his claws into the Carcha's hide to keep from losing balance as the predator stood...

"I am Shade. My full name is Empress Shade, but just call me Shade, I don't like feeling like I'm in royalty. And you realize that I'm more than twenty times your size, right? You'll cripple me like you'd cripple an Ankylosaur's back." the Carcharodontosaurus growled, shaking her body to try to throw the raptor off.

"Get off of me, please. Can't you just walk beside me or something? I'm not your very own playground."

Riptide made a desperate move in the middle of the triceratops's turn - he lunged toward the side of the herbivore's face, making an attempt at an eye gouge - his claw tips met flesh and the muscles in his hand contracted, but the skin was so thin, the bone so close to the surface, that his grip slipped, scoring above and below the eye, but missing his target. With a screech, Riptide tried to lunge past the herbivore; Steeltalon winced, anticipating the crunch of flesh and bone against rock that was sure to come.

Pipsqueak hopped back to the Allosaurus pack, jumping onto the corpse and nipping at it again. He was trying to be sneaky, picking off bits and running off, then coming back and repeating this until he was full. The compy chirped at Xanthe in a cluster of peeps and squeaks...

Thorn Jaw stalked through the underbrush, his mind troubled and distant. Growling lowly as he passed under a particularly low branch the large Ceratosaur continued on, the forest closing in around him. Snapping his head to the left suddenly Thorn Jaw felt his adrenaline rise...False alarm as the telltale signs of a nesting bird of some kind had scattered. Most certainly from the Ceratosaurs presence. Thorn Jaw did not know why but for some reason he was quick to being startled. Jumpy at the first sign of provocation, passing by a small creek Thorn Jaw stops. Tilting his large head to the ground, the Ceratosaur inhales deeply his olfactory system filling with the scents of all the animals that had passed through the path he has chosen. Prey was the first thought that came to his head as the familiar scent of Dryosaurus fills his nostrils...

Mars made a noise which combined a snort with a bark, commanding his pack to move further. Bear, his mate, walked beside him, and Djinn, his brother, trailed behind. The Stokesosaurs were looking for food.

"Mars, you realize that we've been trekking around this damned island for about a week now, right?" Bear grunted. "We're getting starved."

Mars instead responded with a snort, seeming to acknowledge this fact, yet ignore it at the same time. Despite this, he could smell Ceratosaur...

Shade eyed an Ouranosaurus, a fairly old one to be precise. The Carcharodontosaurus's attention faded from Fatalis to the sailed hadrosaur, her eerie gaze seeking the duckbill like a missile. Her mouth was watering with saliva. Her mind seemed to keep echoing the words time to hunt in her head as if she had just remembered.

"If you want to stay on my back, you may want to hold onto something, because this is going to be a bumpy ride." she hissed lowly, her hunger being aroused by the sounds of the herbivore socializing...

Meanwhile, Big Brute plucked a fern from the ground with his jaws. He didn't bother to chew it, or even eat it; he lumbered to a pile of known nest building material (rocks, sticks, leaves, grass, and of course ferns) and set it down on top of the cluster. He then lied down, deciding to take a brief nap...

Stalking through the forest, back towards the dangerous and seemingly endless plains Thorn Jaw follows the Dryosaurs trail. He had followed the recent scent trail for sometime now deciding that his need for food wasn't as great. He decided that discovering the prey sources within the immediate area would be a wiser idea than expending energy on a hunt that may not succeed. Slowly, the spotted Ceratosaur halts, his large muscular body hidden behind a large stand of bushy foliage.

There in between the tall grass Thorn Jaw saw them, at least twenty. His eyes contracting into predatory slits Thorn Jaw resists the urge to give chase. Better to hide his presence to these unfamiliar Dryosaurs, for in the near future hunting them will be easier if they are not already alert to his presence. Once more the Ceratosaur sniffs the air, his head tilted upward. Taking in another sniff Thorn Jaw growls deeply, the stinging scent of Stokesosaurus filling his nostrils. I'm hear not even a day and I have to deal with vermin... Thorn Jaw thought his eyes searching the ground for signs of recent activity. Finding nothing of value Thorn Jaw decides to stalk these Stokesosaurs, he doesn't want any competition...

"I smell a fighter. If we put enough of our hunger and effort together, we could have us some dinner..." Mars snorted. The simple mention of hunger made almost the entire pack's mouth water.

"Mars, that's just cruel. Using our starvation to your own amusement." Bear growled lowly.

"But Bear, my darling... that's just nature." Mars snarled as he picked up the scent of Dryosaurus. No wonder why the Ceratosaurus was here.

Shade launched herself at full speed towards the Ouranosaurus, nearly flinging Fatalis off of her back...

Fatalis kicked off of the Carcha's back, making sure to dig his claws into it first before launching himself onto a tree branch, glancing back at the Carcha. "Have fun chasing down a herbivore when you smell like blood" snorted the Raptor tauntingly, before leaping onto another branch, disappearing into the trees...

Erebus bellowed as the Raptor slashed at his eye, flailing his horned head left and right as the Raptor attempted to slip past him, one of the furious Triceratops's brow horns catching the Raptor between the leg and the rib cage as he swung his head powerfully, shearing the unfortunate Raptor almost in half, its horrifically mutilated body flying at a nearby wall before colliding with a sickening squelch, gore plastering the walls as its entire skeleton was utterly destroyed by the impact, more than a dozen different bones visible, poking outwards like some kind of bloody sea urchin, the Triceratops turning back to face the entrance, bellowing loudly at the Raptors trapped inside, before turning back, trudging away from the cave, jets of vapour spilling from its nostrils, the scent of blood heavy on the air as the mutilated remains of dozens of Raptors littered the entrance of the cave. It wouldn't be long before other predators came to investigate...

Crusher meanwhile waited at the external side of the crevice, hoping that she would be able to escape the massacre. He had never suspected the herbivore would be so violent an opponent. It terrified him to think that he could have been hit by the Trike before it got to the pack. He would've been torn to ribbons...It was funny when it was charging down Aircrest...but now? It seemed he'd be having nightmares of something OTHER than his past for the next couple of days...

"Oh screw you!" Shade roared, the Ouranosaurus trying to run from the large carnivore. The herbivore tripped on a log, scrambling forward in a frenzy of honks and trumpets. Shade bellowed as she snapped her jaws around the hadrosaur's left back ankle, pulling back...
