Damiuan seemed genuinely disturbed by what Dieter had said to them. So these "undead" were more sophisticated than he had originally assumed. Not only that, but there was some sort of leader. Nto nerely a leader, as in some sort of alpha, but it was even morep owerful than the rest of its brethren!

"So you're saying that this... 'super zombie'," Damian said, "Has soem sort of control over the others? And is even STRONGER then thsoe things?"

"The corpses you saw vould not have been able to bring down our facility's defences. The fire on the roof vas caused by a crashed helicopter that their leader brought down. That vas how it got into the base in the first place" responded Dietrich lowly as he eyed Damian...

Rebin whistled as he listened to the german commander's explanation. "A zombie did that? Wow. Must have been a helluva zombie." He said. "Unless tha tthing carried around some pretty powerful weapons or could jump really high, i doubt any zombie can take down a helicoptor..."

Yukari however had delved into silence, listening, and jotting down notes from what Dietrich said...

Jacob kicked off the moment the beast's body tilted to its side, its wide and relatively flat body making it easy to predict the flip, the man leaving a large cauterised hole in its back, and another, rather massive tear in its wing membrane as he landed in a crouch, rising to his feet and continuing his onslaught...

"The tar-like liqvid that plagued the corpses in the facility is not simply a mould or slime. It behaved like a living thing. Their leader used it like a grappling hook to grab the helicopter as my men attempted to escape the outpost it had attacked. It clung to the aircraft until it reached us, then dropped, ripping the craft apart in the process" explained Dietrich calmly as he brought a hand to the gas mask he wore, its glowing golden lenses fading to a reflective orangy brown as he pulled it off, the mask releasing a hiss as the interior and exterior environments equalised. Behind the mask was a man with blonde hair, steely silver eyes, and most notably, a small, jagged scar that started on the left side of his upper lip, down to the lower lip. His face was angular and gaunt, though he was not quite as pale as one would suspect, having a light tan, which only served to make his scar more prominent. Stubble had begun to appear on his face, and exhaustion seemed evident in his eyes despite his calm and controlled tone.

"Hmmmm... sentient slime, you say? Very strange... very strange indeed. But, that woudl explain a few things..."

Damian pondered back to the base. It really did help explain a lot. It helepd explain why it seemed that, while the body would be dead, why those abominations could keep fighting. But he wasn't going to focus too long on that. He wanted to know more about the super zombie, since, knowing their track record so far, they were bound to run into it.

"Do you know if there is any way to kill that monster? Guns, fire, explosives, light?"

"Well... that sounds flatout crazy," Rebin noted in disbelief. "A zombie using slime as a grappling hoook to infiltrate a Nazi base..."

"yeah. If it weren't for the fact that we ran into a Reveneant and sentient robots the other day, I'd be wondering if you were insane or not." Yukari half-joked...

Which only served to redirect Rebin back to the original issue at hand. "Your insane for leaving the APC. What if that thing has still been there at the base when you arrived? You would have been killed!" Rebin snapped at her...

Turning over, the Tigrex brought down its claws on Jacob once more, his paw larger than the man's upper torso. Flattened into the ground, forced into the dirt on his back, the mercenary would have seen the looming maw of the Tigrex, saliva foaming up with the beast's ravenous rage. He raised his paw and lunged forth, intending to bite into his foe...

And Jacob responded, rolling to the side and swinging his arm down across the beast's skull as its jaws hit the dirt where he had been, Monoblades engaged and at their maximum range limits, easily 2 feet long each, aiming directly for the eye, and where he suspected the brain lay beyond...

"Nothing seemed to vork against it. Bullets didn't penetrate its hide. Plasma only seemed to infuriate it" responded Dietrich lowly, his tone speaking volumes of the toll the entire encounter had taken on his mind. "If it had a veakness, ve did not last long enough to discover it. Vithin 20 minutes the entire military base was an empty, dead husk" he added...

In response to the initial pain, the Tigrex swerved and swung its powerful tail into Jacob, bashing him away several yards as the reptilian beast spun 360 degrees, kicking up dirt and grass. When the young predator came full circle, he looked to where Jacob had been knocked over to and let out a rattling hiss, its throat quivering with the vocalization...

The hiss was responded to with a grenade to the mouth, an electrical arc jumping from the weapon before a violent explosion tore it apart, shards of plasma-coated shrapnel being thrown outwards in all directions...

The hiss turned into a booming roar as the grenade soared towards it, the expanding barrier of sound and air reflecting the grenade haphazardly in a physics defying display. It exploded in the air, showering the area in ionized fragments, as much hitting the Tigrex as it did Jacob.

The Tigrex began to circle the cyborg again, having learned that charging headlong into battle was not the way to engage. His enemy was small but far from weak...

Jacob narrowed his eyes as he drew his handgun, a fairly sizeable weapon with a moderately long, angular barrel, glowing blue lines running down either side of the weapon's length before halting at cylinder streaked with similar glowing lines. "Let's see how you manage this" he muttered lowly as he raised his arm, taking aim, before a searing pain exploded into the beast's side, the fully silenced and suppressed weapon unleashing a MAGCELL round that tore right through scale, flesh and bone where it hit, the bullet leaving a hole that looked as though the beast's scales had been made of fine sand, some remnants still spilling from the wound along with the beast's blood...

"Well, maybe we'll stand a better chance," Damian said somewhat hopefully. "While we don't have armor as good as thsoe guys back in the camp, I'm sure this APC has enough firepower to put that ******* down."

Suddenly, the scanners on the APC began to ping. Something was coming their way... something big.

"Picking up somethnig big coming our way," Damian said, as he began to analyze what it was. "Let's hope it isn't hostile..."

Both Yukari and Rebin pooked at the sudden pinging. "What is it now? Zombies coming to deal with this armored vehicle?" Rebin asked, though Yukari merely kept quiet, and readied herself...Whatever it was, she could only hope it wasn't out for their blood...

The Tigrex buckled with the hit, dropping onto its underbelly, gagging and rasping as the round tore through a lung. Blood flowed out of the wound and began to well up in the ornate beast's jaws, the vicious fighter now drowning in his own life's fluid. Even now it snarled and growled, convulsed and clawed in feeble attempts to continue the fight...

Another round tore through the beast's skull as it stumbled and struggled to keep itself up, the Mercenary showing no mercy for the animal trying so desperately to kill him...

"Let us hope for our sake it is not" responded Dietrich simply, eyeing the blinking warning on the scanners...

A series of audible footsteps signaled the beast's arrival nearby. A pair of gleaming eyes shone through the brandles and leaves near the APC. From the surrounding area, a single, massive scaly head emerged from the surrounding shrubbery, its head nearly 7 feet in length. Its massive head was heavily armored, almsot akin to the plates on an armadillo's back, only much, much stronger. Razor sharp fangs, nearly as long as a bowie knife, poked out from udner the monster's scaly lips. Soon, the titan showed the full extent of its body. It arms were small, but muscular, probably to help it get up from the floor. Its scales were also thick and heavy all along the side of its body, creting an almost impenetrable defense on its form. Its legs were thick like tree trunks, each bulging thigh rippling with each step the beast took. Its massive tai lswayed from side to side, the tail also armored along the entirety of its length. The beast soon stomepd towards the APC, sniffing the machien inquisitively. The beast continued examing the machine with caution.

Damian was awe struck. The scanners said it was an unknown member of the Tyrannosauridae family, measured in at 20 feet tall and 55 feet long, and weighed in at almost 10 tons.

"That's no T-rex I've ever seen...." Damian said in a low voice.

"So it's a juiced up Tyrannosaur with alot of armor on it... Should we give it a warning shot, or let it be?" Rebin asked, sounding not too impressed at this point. Yukari likewise didn't seem all that impressed or worried. While it was an interesting find here, dealing with zombies and revenants lowered the "WOW" factor quite abit...

"Vunderbar" deadpanned Dietrich, the statement translating as 'wonderful' in German. "I assume you are armed to deal vith this thing?" he asked as he eyed the trio. He hadn't just escaped an army of corpses to be crushed by a demonic dinosaur...

Damian said to Deitrich, "Of course we are. This baby could blow that thing in two if we got a hit in with the main gun. But I'd rather not kill it."

Damian soon turned to Rebin, when the whoel APC suddenly lurged sideways. Looknig at what the APC was sensing, it looked like the strange tyrannosaur was pushing against their vehicle, as if in an attempt to flip it over. Damian grunted, as another shove lurched the APV sideways.

"Rebin, fire a warnign shot across this *******'s nose. Hopefully that'll startle him into a retreat, or at least give us some tiem to escape," Damian said.
