In addition to a land shark monster and a couple giant bugs, 3 familiar beasts from the first two generations of MH show up in this MH4 trailer.

OH MY GOD I'M SO PSYCHED. KUSHA MY LOVE, LET US MEET IN BATTLE ONCE MORE.

Also there's a gigantic monster that looks like a Liopleurodon frozen in ice at 0:54. Looks really awesome.

And then there's the megazord insects. COMBINE AND FORM UP.

On another note, after seeing the trailer for part 2 of the hobbit on the 12th, I like the design of Smaug they're using. In the animated movie, the only problem I had with smaug's design was how his head looked like a cat's.

Too many people complain about the new design. Personally, I think it embodies what he SHOULD be very well. assuming the body goes the same way as the head, we can bet he'll be sleek, fast, and powerful. Lack of fur removes the touchy issue of fire-prone fluff. Glowing eyes tend to be associated with things that are both evil and powerful, so that fits Smaug perfectly. The half Saurian half Leonine fang arrangement makes for a nice breach of the two contrasting views of Dragons [classical having more leonine traits while the modern one has more saurian ones], and looks very impressive. The rest, we'll have to wait and see to judge. But yeah, so far, I really like how Smaug's coming out.

Finally beat Gears Judgment on insane today. Final boss took more than 20 tries doing the declassified mission for the "seriously Judgmental" achievement. The person who did the guide I watched wasn't joking when he said there was a big luck factor in the fight, mainly due to the Therons and Ragers.

Ergh, I HATE battles that have luck factors. It just makes the boss battle more bullshitty.

Been thinking about fantasy creatures for a while, and I came up with designs for Leviathan and Behemoth: Leviathan would look pretty similar to Skyrim's Frost Dragons, with a crocodile-like tail and forelimbs similar to Tigrex, and a horn like a Javan Rhino. Behemoth would look much like a T-rex, with a bear-like body and arms, having crocodilian scales and a flexible Gwangi-like tail. I've been thinking up designs for other fantasy creatures, but these are the two I came up with for right now.
