Sangeilios had begun growing while he had been eating. After finishing his gruesome feast, he had reached an impressive 6 meters tall. He barely fit in the room anymore. The security guards had been busy trying to break the door down, but once they did, they regretted it. The nearly 20-foot tall Snagheilios roared, paralyzing the guards with terror. With a single swipe of his foreclaw, he sliced one man neatly in two. The others ran for their lives as Sangheilios charged after them, bashing through the door frame and leaving a gaping hole in it's place...

Hunter flew over the giant island. No idea what it was called but if his target was here then something was important here. Hunter searched for a place to land and avoid detection at the same time desenting from his flight.

Ripper Streak stalked through the jungle of the small island of Juan de Nova. just off the coast of maddagascar. He was stalking his target. Crouched low as to keep his head near the tree height, pushing trees aside with his masssive scythes. He focused his eyes on the giant spider not to far away. It was oblvious to the massive beast following it. Ripper streak shreiked as he tore down the trees in front of him with a wish of his scythes. He punded through the forest towards the spider. His wings cliped out and started buzzing rapidly launching him into a high jump through the sky. the spider sensed him and started running away as fast as it could trying to take cover in the trees. Ripper streaks heat sensetive eyes tracked it and he corrected his corse, crushing through the trees landing square on the beomoth spiders back. It was slammed to the ground, barely able to stand from his weight. It shreiked and treied to throw him off but he rammed one scythe down into it, just behind its head. It periced and went stright through into the ground below. It roared in agony then he swing down his other scythe, cleaving into its head. It fell silent and thudded to the ground. Ripper streak hoped off before starting to feed on the dead creature, hungered by his journey

Hunter noticed his target enter the jungle where the tall tree's covered him, was he detected? Hunter had no idea where the giant spinosaurs left so Hunter stopped flying and crashed into the water and went pretty deep. Hunter then circled the island, gulping down schools of fish and was lucky enough to catch a small whale. Hunter then went around the island swimming slow, looking out for his target.

the following day Mendel and Elsie were on a private jet, flying from Mozambique to the private island known as Juan de Nova. the white and gold painted jet landed gently, as if landing on a runway of pillows. the pilot was obviously very highly experienced. as the Jet taxied into the hanger of the private airport, a couple of military Jeeps drove up and stopped at the door to the Learjet. Mendel walked out of the door right after the crew of 3, with Elsie following close behind. "Welcome to Juan de Nova, Dr. Chapman and Dr. Craven. I am General Francois Dupre, the Commander of this...facility. if you will come this way please" said a tall man in a dark navy coloured suit, which was highly decorated and pointed to a man of major influence in the French armed forces. he led them to the Jeeps, and, as if knowing what Mendel was about to say, added "Oh, and your research machine is at the base. we shall be there shortly". Mendel, a bit surprised, nodded and got into the Jeep with the General and Elsie. the driver took them off on makeshift roat through the jungle, with occasional white blobs littering random trees and rocks. "what are those white blobs, General?" asked Elsie, intriqued. "They are residue from the Monsters' attacks. they seem to spray a highly corrosive Venom from their fangs, which has been known to burn right through steel witout even slowing, when sprayed. it's other weapon, the residue of which your asking about, is a very sticky substance, webbing no doubt, but with incredible adhesive properties, which they fire from their abdomens. the few that have been in contact with it and survived are stuck with it possibly permanently, unless they'd agree to risk us attempting to blowtorch the area the webbing is attached. it's grip is so strong that it outdoes the grip of welded steel". Elsie was shocked. "How much effect have you been having on them through retaliation?" she asked. "Not much, Dr. Chapman. it seems that they're nearly impervious to most weapons. the only weaponry that has had any effect on them are high heat missiles. the weak spots we have found on them are the joints. it seems an obvious choice, but not if you see them for yourself. the joints are large, thick and covered in spikes. and yet, they are the most brittle parts. we found that out after a small one attempted to attack, and was killed after us attacking the joints on it's legs and between the various sections of it's body". the vehicle arrived at a small village of plain, brown concrete houses. the General led them into one of them, and pulled a remote out of one of his pockets. a section of the wall parted, and behind lay a stairway. "After you" said the General. Elsie made a flattered giggle and Craven stepped forward, Elsie and the General following close behind as the wall behind them closed once again. they decended to an empty solid concrete room with a massive door in front of them. the General pulled out an odd, rod shaped thing, and, along with the remote, which had now been split into two smaller halves, almost like a slide-backed phone. he pressed a button that made a massive steel plate move aside, revealing a small triangular hole with 3 points jutting out of the flat faces. he then pressed a button on the rod which made the tip open up, revealing a 3 inch thick triangle with 3 rods sticking out of the faces of the triangle. he put it into the hole, and twisted, and the sound of hydrolic locks opening filled their ears as the General pulled the rod out, and the door raised upwards, and the group made their way inwards. a massive, white room with various high tech military vehicles, troops and several men in white lab coats. a familiar yellow vacuum cleaner like machine drove up the ramp to Craven. "Nigel!" exclaimed Mendel, and the General said "If you'll follow me, we have something you may want to see. the victims of the spiders that survived". Elsie followed...

Meanwhile...

"THIS, is high tech?" said Nick with an annoyed tone. "Beggers cannot be choosers, M'sieur Tatopoulos" responded Monique. Nick climbed up a ladder onto the boat, the paint of which was pealing, and said "Firstly, it's Doctor Tatopoulos. Secondly, i dont remember BEGGING for anything". "Ahoy matey! permission to board" said a familiar New Yorker voice. Nick turned around to see Audry and Vincent "Animal" Palotti walking in, Palotti carrying a TV camera on his shoulder. "Nice wreck! what's it called?" asked Audry. "OFF LIMITS!" yelled Monique hotly as she pushed Animal's camera down, moving so fast that by the time he recovered, the tape had been removed and destroyed. "Why does everybody keep doin' dat?" asked Animal, mostly to himself. "Wanna tell me why Craven and that red headed Barbie doll booked a flight to Mozambique?" asked Audrey, almost aggressively, to Nick. "How did you know?" asked Nick, surprised. "I have my sources. they find anything yet?" "Classified" said Monique. "And what do you have to do with any of this?" she said, turning to Monique. "That is none of your conscern" she said. "Now leave or else i'll be forced to contact the authorities with a complaint for tresspassing on private property". Audrey could respond to that, but didn't want to risk it, since she still didn't know how much influence this woman had. she left along with her Cameraman, and began to pull strings to get them to Mozambique as soon as possible...

As a 20-foot long mutant raptor, Sangheilios couldn't just hide around in the city for mch longer. He decided to move on, heading to the outskirts of Tokyo and wandering the area, feeding off humans and other animals by day and hiding from military personnel, who were assigned to attack and kill him on sight, by night.

Hunter circled the island for about an hour, no sign of his target. Hunter was about to leave until he saw something had not seen for a while. It was a small and looked like it ran on a motor. A boat? Hunter thought but his vision could not see that far for this new thing was miles away.

Ripper Streak made a screeching roar that echoed throughout the Island. HIs eyes darting around, observing everything. From his vantage point in the hills he could buildings. He didn't want to get too close to them. He screeched loudly and dissappeared back into the trees again.

Hunter heard the roar... was it dying? being captured? Hunter could not see or hear it but it was somewhere in the area. Hunter brought his giant head up in the air to smell it but it was faint and Hunter needed to move in closer. Hunter was now tired of this silly game so Hunter then used his claws to claw into the island from under the sea, clawing until it was big enough for him to burrow through.

that day, Monique, Randy and Nick were aboard the shipand halfway across the Atlantic. "Any chance of hitting Juan de Nova's shore before the turn of the next century?" asked Nick, bored out of his mind. "I'm sorry captain, but the Warp Drive cannot take anymore" responded Randy in his best imitation of Star Trek. Monique pressed a button next to the throttle, and a square keyboard closed against two metal rods lowered from the cieling. Monique pulled the keyboard down and a second throttle gear raised from it. she pulled it down and the boat lurched forward with amazing speed and Randy noticed an extra speedometer appear on th dashboard, exposed by a wooden panel that was retracted from over it. the speed read 300 Kts. "Wohoa! nice thrust!" said Randy, shocked. little did they know something very large and very fast was following them...

Bane continued to follow the craft his parent was aboard. he grabbed a whale and began to eat it, making sure he kept up with the ship...

Elsie and Craven were working in a small shack outside the main facility. it was like a private laboratory where Craven and Elsie could work without the disturbance of the scientists. so far, they had gathered a large amount of data about the Spiders. first of all, they had a 3rd weapon. a liquid that they would spray on their targets that worked like an external stomach, draining the body of nutrients before being reabsorbed into the Spider's body to give them the nutrients. an odd thing they discovered was that that liquid also kept the targets alive. they would use the webbing to trap the prey, spray it with the draining fluid, and then leave them for a few hours before returning and consuming the liquid and removing the fluid, letting the prey either die of starvation and malnutrition, or go and feed itself and bring it back to strength, therefore giving the spiders a potentially unlimited supply of food, so long as the prey's food sources weren't depleted. another thing they discovered was that these spiders apparently had the ability to swim, or at least, some of them did. the legs were slightly curved, acting like oars to propell themselves forward. the webbing had been experimented with, and it was discovered that, beyond all expectations, Citrus Acid proved to be capable of desolving it. with the island's plentiful orange and lemon tree reserves, that was not a problem. Elsie called Nick with the results. "Hey Nick, it's Elsie". "Hey Elsie. what do you have for me?". "Well, it turns out these Spiders can swim. their webbing can be desolved by Citrus acid and it's venom can burn through steel, and is sprayed through two hollow fangs near it's mouth, with the intensity of a Water-pressure Steel Cutter. VERY lethal stuff. and here's another thing we found out. seems they have a second venom, which they excrete on their skin and through a thin tube right under it's mouth, as well as on the tips of all it's legs. victims hit with that were at first believed to be dead. what we found out later was that they were temporarily paralyzed. the liquid on them was sorta like tar, and the victims were found to be not only paralyzed, but completely drained of electrolytes". "what the?". "Yeah. we're thinking External stomach. the creature attacks it's target, hits it with a glob of webbing and sprays this stuff on the target, and leaves it for a while until the liquid's drained the prey of everything valuable from the prey, afterwhich the spider reabsorbs the liquid and injects a very small amount of Citrus acid onto the webbing, and rips it off, and leaves, leaving the prey to go and feed if it doesn't die first. pretty economical for them if you ask-AAAAAAH!". "Elsie?! ELSIE?!" called Nick into the phone. the sound of breaking wood and an odd rattling hissing screech filled his ears as a massive Spider broke into the shack and pinned Elsie and Craven in a corner. it sprayed the liquid on them, and webbing, and pinned them to a wall. Nigel was also pinned bleeping and squeeking as the machine tried to struggle free. no use...

the following day, Nick, Monique and Randy were searching for Mendel and Elsie. Randy, with his computer skills, had managed to lock onto Nigel's signal and used it to lead him to the source. after finding them, they returned to the ship and began working on reviving them, Randy working on repairing Nigel [and tampering with his linguistic software while Craven was still incapacitated], Monique keeping a watch from the cockpit and Nick working on reviving Mendel and Elsie...

Elsie and Mendel finally woke up after nearly half an hour of being attached to a drip filled with rehydration fluid. they were currently drinking alot to try and regain what they had lost. after spending a day recovering, the group began working on ideas on what to do...until something jerked the vessel to a complete stop. "what the?" said Nick. he walked up onto the deck to find Randy and Monique swatting tentacles away. "Get inside!" yelled Monique as she nudged him in the stomach with an oar she was using to fend off the tentacles. Randy rushed in, pulling Nick in with him, and Monique slammed the door shut. "What the HELL was that?!" said Nick. "A second species of mutants with similar behaviour to the Spiders. they were considered minor threats because they're very sensitive to heat. unfortunately, we dont have flamethrowers to fight them off" responded Monique just as they heard a slam against the door. a tentacle broke in through the tiny window and tore the door off completely. everyone backed away but a tentacle got ahold of Nick and was pulling him out. it lifted him up a few deck and made an ear shattering screech. then, all of a sudden, it was pulled under, it's tentacles letting go of Nick to attend to whatever was going on below deck. Nick got up, stunned, covered in a tar-like substance and wet from the tentacles. then, a chilling yet familiar roar echoed in his ears..

Bane snarled as he saw a squid attempt to eat his parent. he yanked it under and crushed it, before emerging above the water with a roar, throwing the squid up and burning it to a crisp. another 10 squids collected on him, and he stood to his full height in the now shallow water. he pulled them off of his skin with a snarl, and burned them with his atomic flame beam, sending them flying towards the beach and hitting the ground hard, before turning to dust as the fire finally reached the center of their bodies, and destroyed the cores of the cells in their body. he looked down at his parent with a protective, caring look in his eyes. as he roared once more and dove under, swimming around as he began to actively hunt the squids, not wanting another to attack the only human who ever tried to protect him...

"That creature....saved our lives" said Monique in surprise. "Good thing he doesn't hold a grudge" responded Nick. "Godzilla" he said. "No...Zilla...not Godzilla". Nick looked at her confused. "What do you mean?". "Godzilla is a Japanese monster that stands 100 meters long. this, well, this cant even be called Zilla...too big...266 meters long, 106 meters tall...that's bigger than Zilla..in length and height...and from what we've seen, he's a bit more... well armed than his father" responded Monique...

Bane swam through the waters around Juan de Nova. the squids he came across were becoming bigger and bigger. he was now tangled with what could be the leader of them. it was half his size, but extremely strong and surprisingly heavy. anytime he broke free of one tentacle, two more stuck to him somewhere else. finally, out of annoyance, he lunged forward and bit onto the head of the squid, tearing a massive hole out of it and simultaniously unleashing his beam into it.. the squid made a horrendous screech as it's insides burst into flames and it's body turned to ash. Bane then returned to deep water and swam back towards his parent...

Hunter rose from the ground, about an hour of burrowing. The giant creature then saw a dead body of what was like a giant dead spider. It's been dead for a while... however another one came towards Hunter. However before the spider could do anything, it was incinerated to death by Hunter's atomic breath. Hunter then went back underground, looking for his target.

Sangheilios had managed to grow to monstrous porportions. Chances are he wouldn't get much bigger unless he killed an actual monster. He slipped into the ocean and began heading across, looking for potential prey...

Ripper streaks wings buzzed idely as he sat perched ontop of a tall rock, watching a human base in the distance.

Hunter rose from the ground, he decided that he would walk instead... pretty much missing some action, killing something would not be so bad. Hunter walked quietly through the woods, keeping his body very low to the ground so he can still be hidden, following a faint scent. In the clearing at the edge of the forest was what looked like human buildings. Hunter prepared himself...

Randy said "hey, i came up with a name for our not so little friend. Bane". Nick said "Bane? hmm". Randy responded "Yeah! i mean, Bane means terror, pain, suffering. same as what this guy does to whatever pisses him off. i think the name fits him, dontcha think?". Nick shrugged and said "I suppose". Nick and the others were heading for the shacks leading to the base, Monique having a second key to the facility. but something wasn't right. looking around, they found out exactly what it was. a massive Zilla like creature with wings was standing among the trees. a booming roar came from not far behind them and Bane leapt over them, landing on the ground with a massively loud boom, the ground shaking below them. Bane roared at the beast and stared at it. it was large, but still, size meant speed would be lost...

Hunter did not return the roar... he was suprised he was spotted and the other large monster seemed hostile... Hunter walked out of the trees and stood at his full height and streched his wings out to its fullest wing span. Hunter let out a low growl and prepared itself just in case the other monster attacked but after a short look... Hunter noticed there was a some what striking resemblance.

Ripper streak was still on the rock. Watching the two monsters intently. One was small, only slightly bigger than him, however theo ther, which had attmpeted to conseal its self was almost 130 meters tall. In the jungle he was about as easy to spot as a Bulldozer in a meadow. He watched on to see if they would fight.

"You have no business here, monster. You'd be wise to leave this place" snarled Bane, in a battle stance and prepared to fight if it dared to move closer to his parent or his friends...
